About the Accelerating Reform Fund
The Accelerating Reform Fund is a new initiative which aims to transform social care services, making them more responsive to the needs of the community. It is a national programme, with 42 regions allocated to have their own projects. Greater Manchester is one of the ARF regions. The ARF has a particular focus on unpaid carers aims to boost short-term breaks for carers and improve hospital discharge processes. This work is made possible by Department for Health and Social Care grants. As an organisation, Gaddum has supported and collaborated with unpaid carers for many years, so we’re excited to bring our experience to the table. This role will be based in the Manchester team working to improve hospital discharge processes for Carers and will be based in one of the three hospital sites in Manchester (North Manchester General, Manchester Royal Infirmary, Wythenshawe Hospital)
Job Summary
To develop and ensure safe discharge planning and information for unpaid carers. To embed procedures to raise awareness of the needs of carers in a secondary care setting, working in partnership with the discharge and enablement teams. To empower carers to be involved in the discharge process.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to support the early identification and referral of carers, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate support to meet their needs. Fundraising Manager

Position: Fundraising Manager
Location: Remote or hybrid (office is in Kent)

The Role
Funding from Trusts and Foundations is critical to the sustainability of the charity. The Fundraising Manager as a member of the Senior Management Team, will lead on ensuring sufficient funding for the sustainability of the charity and its core activities by maintaining and developing current relationships with funders as well as generating additional income to meet targets.
You will also be the lead for the communication strategy, and line manage the Communications Officer, to enhance the charity’s visibility and engagement with donors and other audiences. The role is weighted towards income generation.
About You
You will be an experienced fundraiser, able to develop and deliver a comprehensive fundraising strategy with knowledge and experience of Trusts and Foundations fundraising. You will have proven experience of writing successful grant applications, meeting targets and managing relationships with funders.
You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to craft compelling and persuasive proposals and reports and the ability to produce high quality written materials tailored to different audiences.

About the Organisation
This is a varied role in a friendly and supportive small national charity focussed specifically on the needs of children, young people and adults with severe learning disabilities whose behaviour challenges, and their families. There is no statutory funding and the organisation relies on voluntary income to fund its work. Income is sourced primarily from Trusts and Foundations to maintain independence. We are currently seeking a Corporate Partnership Fundraiser to join our passionate and dedicated fundraising team. In this vital role, you will focus on securing new and managing existing corporate partnerships in the Derbyshire and North Leicestershire area to generate essential income for Rainbows Children's Hospice, enabling us to continue providing outstanding care and support to babies, children, young people, and their families.
Hours of work: This role is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with the very occasional evening or weekend for Events.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage our fulfilment agency including setting and monitoring levels of service provided, and leading on procurement when required.
- Line manage the Supporter Care Co-ordinator providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Supporter Care Policies and Guidelines.
- Provide regular training and briefings to prepare internal and external call handling and fulfilment teams.

The Role

This is a key period of growth for our Charity, with the delivery of our new strategy and exciting capital and activity Masterplan in the pipeline. The post-holder will lead all of our of Charity operations at Winchester Science Centre including;

Working alongside the Chief Financial Officer, the post-holder will deputise for our CEO from time to time representing the charity to external stakeholders and partners.
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) will be a commercially astute and visitor focused operational leader who possesses an entrepreneurial spirit. Through their inspirational, values-based, and collaborative approach, they will always look for new opportunities to innovate and drive growth.
The post holder will bring their wealth of experience as an operational leader with a proven track record within a large visitor attraction to provide expert knowledge to lead a large and diverse team to success.
The COO will be an integral part of the SLT to support business planning by translating the vision, goals, and strategy for the Charity into operational and business plans. They will demonstrate strong financial leadership helping to provide best value and deliver on agreed targets.
Key accountabilities
- Delivery of Commercial Objectives – Drive the commercial performance of our visitor centre, growing revenue whilst managing costs.
- Strategic development - As a member of the leadership team, the COO will play a key role in supporting the CEO with the strategic development of the Charity, bringing a commercial and operational mindset. The COO will attend Board meetings and other Trustee committees.
Main responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the commercial operations team to enhance business performance and standards whilst driving efficiency

Research development and thought leadership

Working at IES
