About the role

We are seeking a Participant Engagement Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, the chosen candidate will work with our member companies to maximise the impact of our programmes, driving sustainable business operations and enhancing the value they receive from their UN Global Compact participation.

The position will manage and keep track of the priorities, needs and challenges of our participating companies and ensure our offerings remain relevant and impactful for them by collaborating with our programme teams.

This role will exist alongside another individual working collectively to fulfil the responsibilities outlined below. The workload will be shared, ensuring a balanced distribution of tasks.

The Participant Engagement Manager will report to the Head of Operations and Participant Engagement. We offer a flexible hybrid working environment, with a minimum of two days per week in the office.

Who we are looking for:

Understanding business interests and the ability to promote our unique value proposition will be key to boosting engagement with our programmes.

• An effective communicator with a customer-focused mindset. You will engage regularly through email exchanges, calls, and meetings with representatives from participating businesses to build and nurture strong relationships with them and ensure high levels of engagement. Your ability to listen to their needs and provide relevant and timely support will be key.

• An experienced professional with a track record in account management, business development, or a similar role. Familiarity with Salesforce and Asana is highly desirable.

• Someone with experience working with SMEs would be highly desirable.

• Someone who is an organised team player, who enjoys collaboration and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

• A proactive and adaptable individual who is ready to take on a variety of activities and rapidly gain responsibility as the Network’s team, programmes and members are constantly evolving.

In your first 6 months:

To help you settle quickly, we will provide a thorough and comprehensive onboarding. Through meetings with key colleagues and online training, we will help you to become familiar with our way of working and our value proposition.

Key Responsibilities - after onboarding, we will expect you to:

• Take the lead in planning and delivering our monthly members’ breakfasts, initially with support from your line manager.

• Support the team in organising and delivering our annual Kick-off event, taking place in January.

• Support the team in organising and delivering our Annual General Meeting, taking place in June.

• Contribute to implementing our Light Key Account Management (KAM) plan by responding to participant queries, catering to their needs as well as scheduling, joining, and eventually leading calls with a subset of our participating companies to nurture strong relationships with them and ensure high engagement.

• Oversee onboarding of new participants and deliver regular onboarding webinars.

• Be the main contact point for Communication on Progress matters. This includes supporting participants with their submissions but also engaging with our global team to stay informed about/provide feedback on updates to the CoP.

• Develop and launch an SME Buddy Network to help connect SME participants and give them an opportunity to ask questions specific to their needs in a 'safe environment'.

• Coordinate engagement around high-level events organised by the global team including the Leaders Summit, Private Sector Forum, and COPs.

• Track priorities, needs, and challenges of participants and collaborate with the team to ensure our offerings remain relevant.

• Measure participant engagement levels and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

A little bit about the role 

This role will be closing at 5pm on Friday 18 October.

The Delivery Officer coordinates meetings, events and training on behalf of the region. This includes sourcing of venues, coordinating and tracking attendance of participants, liaising with other teams to ensure the smooth running of events and where necessary, note-taking in meetings and acting as a point of contact for the team, participants and Consultant Social Workers.​

This role has a high level of autonomy and the potential for significant skills development. The Delivery Officer is crucial in supporting the work of the wider team by supporting colleagues to ensure the efficient use of resources and scheduling that achieves the smooth delivery of the Approach Social Work Programme across the regional hubs.​

​The role requires someone who is skilled at building positive relationships with people in addition to being highly organised with the ability to manage multiple areas of work and use initiative to resolve issues.  Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is also essential. 

Some key responsibilities include:

• Coordinate and organise meetings and bookings as required, including collating agendas, and taking notes as required.​
• Help design, plan, budget and manage regional (and sometimes national) events, both online and in-person. ​
• Manage the procurement process for Teaching Day venues.​
• Generate analytics and reports and present updates at relevant meetings. ​

This role will suit an experienced administrator who enjoys working autonomously and organising events to a high standard. The panel will be looking for candidates to demonstrate strong time management, organisation and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Generate leads and foster new partnerships with companies across the creative industries. You’ll attend pitches, write proposals and negotiate comfortably and with confidence.

• Create outbound leads. You’ll be setting up email campaigns and tracking the progress of new partnerships.

• Maintain and develop strong relationships with existing partners to ensure high renewal rates

Refugee Council is seeking an experienced philanthropy specialist to develop and grow the Refugee Council’s Philanthropy relationships and programme and deliver an ambitious Philanthropy strategy.

Refugee Council is a leading charity supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives in safety here in the UK.  Providing practical, hands on support, their award winning services include welcoming refugees into local communities across the country, providing specialist children’s services – with a particular focus on refugee children who arrive here alone, helping people to navigate the asylum system, and supporting people to access housing and employment.  Evidence from services is then used to also inform the charity’s leading policy and influencing work, including campaigning for a fairer and kinder refugee protection system.  The charity works with more than 14,000 men, women and children every year.

As a result of growing need and increasing interest in Refugee Council’s work, the charity has ambitious plans to make a leap in impact, with investment in their Philanthropy Team to raise increased funds from key high value audiences.

This role will be a critical part of the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team and presents an exciting opportunity to grow Refugee Council’s established Philanthropy programme. The role will be responsible for delivering and creating bespoke development plans, supported by engaging cultivation and stewardship activities to secure increased funding from existing and new donors. Hybrid working - 4 roles available; located in North, Midlands, East and South of England regions.

We are recruiting four Workforce Leads to support hands-on recruitment, attraction and the onboarding and training of IPS Employment Specialists and Team Leaders across the country. These will be dedicated, regional roles where you will support the scale up of the IPS workforce in your designated region. 
IPS Grow is a national programme designed to support the expansion of Individual Placement and Support (IPS) services in mental health, primary care, and drug and alcohol teams across England. The programme is led by Social Finance in partnership with the Centre for Mental Health. It is funded by NHS England and Improvement (NHSE/I), the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID).

The Workforce Lead will provide specialist support to services embarking on recruitment campaigns, monitor their effectiveness and share learning. They will also provide hands-on support for recruitment efforts and training. This will vary according to the service need, but could include headhunting, sifting CVs, preparing for interviews, shortlisting and training.

The opportunity

The Workforce Leads will play a crucial role in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of the IPS Workforce within their designated regions. They will support the scale up of the IPS workforce by ensuring high-quality recruitment processes, comprehensive training programs, and effective onboarding practices. The Workforce Leads will work closely with IPS Grow Regional Managers, local and national stakeholders, including NHS services, to recruit the IPS workforce needed to achieve high levels of employment outcomes for IPS clients.

Responsibilities

The key requirements of the role are:

 Recruitment and Onboarding:

• Lead the recruitment process for IPS Employment Specialists and Team Leaders in assigned regions.

• Collaborate with local services to identify staffing needs and develop tailored recruitment strategies.

• Support services by conducting interviews, shortlisting, and making hiring recommendations.

• Identify where IPS services can coordinate, combine recruitment efforts and facilitate links to ensure a joined-up approach.

• Coordinate and facilitate onboarding activities for new hires, ensuring they are well-prepared to deliver high-fidelity IPS services.

Training and Development:

• Deliver comprehensive training programs for new IPS Employment Specialists.

• Provide ongoing support and mentorship to new hires during their first year.

• Identify and address training needs, offering additional resources and workshops as necessary.

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements based on feedback.

• Enrol IPS workforce members in e-learning training programmes and the accredited qualification.

Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with local and national stakeholders, including IPS services, ICBs leads and NHS Regional Leads.

• Support with workforce planning with services.

• Attend and contribute to regional meetings, sharing insights and updates on workforce development initiatives.

Quality Assurance and Reporting:

• Ensure that recruitment, onboarding, and training processes align with IPS Grow's quality assurance standards.

• Collect and analyse data related to workforce development activities, providing regular reports to the Workforce Manager.

• Identify challenges and propose solutions to improve recruitment and training outcomes.

Communication and Collaboration:

• Work closely with the Regional Managers and Regional Leads to ensure joined up and timely support for services in the region.

• Work closely with the Workforce Manager and other Workforce Leads to share best practices and coordinate efforts across regions.

• Contribute to internal and external communications, including newsletters, reports, and presentations.

About you 

·Recruitment Expertise. Proven experience of recruitment within the healthcare system or substantial involvement in healthcare-related recruitment is essential. This includes interviewing, evaluating candidates and making hiring recommendations.

·Training and Development Expertise. Experience in delivering training programs and workshops, with a focus on adult learning principles and effective onboarding practices.

·Bility to influence others. You will work directly with IPS services to support their recruitment of IPS workers, therefore strong interpersonal, communication and influencing skills are essential. You will need the ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have experience in developing a special events programme to support cultivation and income generation, as well as of developing engaging and relevant donor and prospect communications. They will also have experience of leading on the conceptualisation, planning and delivery of a range of event types, from small, intimate dinners to large receptions and be adept at creating and managing a monitoring and evaluation framework to track activity and apply lessons learned to future activities.  They will also be comfortable working with senior leaders within Refugee Council, as well as corporate leaders, parliamentarians and other influential people, alongside having a sound understanding of the principles and impact of exemplary stewardship and cultivation of supporters and prospects.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for an organised and proactive person who will lead the delivery team for our Grant Management portfolio and Process Hosting services. This involves ‘account management’, which means supporting groups as they scale, as well as oversight of the services. You will manage at least two Partnerships Managers, each with their own portfolio of groups, and be responsible for continuing to shape and refine the delivery of the service.

Many of our groups are at the beginning of their journey in impact or size. Our Grant Management service supports our groups through this journey, ensuring we understand their needs, finding practical solutions to support them to achieve their goals, ensuring contracts are delivered in line with agreements, supporting them with budgeting and advising where financial decisions need to be made. Our Process Hosting service is new but growing, and provides groups, coalitions and networks with crucial admin, governance and secretarial support suited to non-hierarchical structures. As the Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for supporting groups and leaders facing complex dynamics and testing creative solutions to address their challenges.

This role combines customer service, impact-scaling support, account management, deep facilitation and team leadership. This role will be an integral part of the business, and your understanding of the service and what is important for our groups will support the growth of our business. You will report to the Head of Programmes and work closely with the rest of the Delivery team as well as other functions across SCN.

ABOUT YOU

This role would suit someone who is detail oriented and process-driven as well as skilled in relationship-building and facilitation. You will have an analytical approach, excellent attention to detail, and confidence in facilitating spaces, conversations and workshops.

You will be proactive, a creative problem-solver, an excellent communicator and confident in managing competing priorities. You will be keen to make an impact in a small team and be hungry for searching out opportunities to develop yourself and the business. We are looking for someone who is happy working on their own initiative with energy, enthusiasm and good humour. This role involves customer facing work so you must be comfortable with working with groups of people from varied backgrounds along with your work colleagues. 

You need to have a good understanding of how change happens within communities, grassroots groups and informal movements, particularly the role governance and admin play in the messy, interconnected world that is social change.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Account management (60%):

  You will manage several partner accounts, specifically those that are high profile or complex. For Grant Management, this involves:

  • Working directly with groups and movements to understand their needs and help them navigate challenges in their journey of scaling, e.g. governance, budget management, recruitment etc.
  • Facilitating monthly meetings with partners to build relationships, discuss emerging needs, and track progress on contracts with funders.
  • Liaising with funders on behalf of partners where needed.
  • Track grant budgets and support partners with risk management.
  • Ensure partners’ contractual obligations are met. 
  • Nurture relationships to help build positive, long-term partnerships.

  
  For Process Hosting, you would work closely with a Partnerships Manager to:

  • Advise on decision making that supports the group/coalition with their strategy and operations. This will range from advising on the business model, governance structures, funding opportunities, design and implementation on operational processes to support their mission.
  • Support the planning and management of governance related meetings.
  • Support with the processes around recruitment and voting.
     

  Lead on delivery of the Grant Management service (25%):

  • Develop and hold the processes and spaces needed to ensure smooth and consistent delivery across the Grant Management team.
  • Develop the service as we grow, thinking about how we can adapt the model of delivery to fit our purpose. 
  • Work across the team to input on how SCN can continue to improve and innovate. You will bring the key perspective from partners and support by providing feedback on their experience and needs to inform changes to systems and processes. 
     

  Management (10%):

  • Manage the Grant Management team (at least 2 Partnerships Managers).
  • Support the team’s delivery, set work objectives and development goals.
  • Ensure the team understands our purpose, how their work fits within that, and our ways of working and culture.
     

  Support the SCA and SCN team (5%):

  • Support internal activities and the development of the wider team that contribute to The Social Change Nest’s overall mission and strategy.
  • Collaborate with the team and bring new ideas that work towards team success.

This role is responsible for supporting the growth, planning and delivery of KCLSU campaigning and organising activity ensuring that elected officers, Academic Associations, Networks and students are enabled and empowered to create strategic, member-led campaigns. Support our members to develop, shape and deliver their agenda, providing advice, coaching and guidance on how to develop impactful campaigns and projects. Work as part of the Student Voice Team to embed campaigning and organising across all areas of our work ensuring that students from every segment of the membership are empowered to make change through campaigns. Enable our communities (Academic Associations, Liberation Networks and Student Representatives) to grow and develop into effective representative bodies.

Responsibilities include:

Growing, planning & delivering KCLSU campaigns

• Provide resources, support and mentoring to student officers and student campaigners, utilising digital and offline organising models of engagement, to support them to develop hard-hitting and effective campaigns.
• Coordinate and work with KCLSU teams to support representatives and members in delivering their campaigns and communicate the impact of campaigning at KCLSU, building interest and recruiting new activists as a result.
• Deliver a range of approaches to student voice engagement, developing diverse methods of participation and innovative practices for facilitating student decision-making, co-creation, and capturing insight.
• Work with external organisations to lead on KCLSU involvement in local, national and NUS campaigns.
• Responsible for measuring and reporting the impact of our campaigns.

Developing Student Representative Communities

• Support Networks, Academic Associations and Campaign groups on-going growth and development, supporting them to build inclusive, active, and intersectional student-led communities.
• Engage with representatives through coaching, building relationships and providing support as they develop and deliver their campaigning and organising agenda.
• Ensure participation in representation is accessible and inclusive, identifying and removing barriers to engagement particularly for low participation groups.

Leadership Development

• Create and deliver training, guidance and ongoing support for Student Officers, Student Representatives and Academic Associations, equipping students with the knowledge and skills that enable them to thrive in their role and feel empowered to grow as community leaders.
• Build strong and nurturing relationships with student representatives and Academic Association leaders, coordinating effective engagement and regular contact with our members.
• Empower students – particularly those from low participation groups - to become student leaders and participate in KCLSU Elections.
