What You’ll Do:
- Play a pivotal role in delivering our fundraising strategy, with a focus on trusts, foundations, and corporate partnerships.
- Develop engaging funding proposals, working closely with our service delivery and finance teams.
- Maintain strong relationships with donors, ensuring they are informed and engaged with our work.
- Support the research and identification of new funding opportunities to sustain and expand our services.
- Work with our Visits Team to provide inspiring and memorable engagement opportunities for corporate partners at our headquarters in Richmond.

Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) are the only major UK charity focused specifically on the health and wellbeing benefits of bringing people and horses together.
They are pioneers in the therapeutic use of horses and their innovative programmes improve mobility, boost physical health and mental wellbeing, build confidence, and teach new skills. Each year, RDA support over 25,000 disabled children and adults with the help of 2,800 equines, 1,700 coaches and 13,700 volunteers. They operate 400+ RDA centres across the UK and have 57+ accredited riding schools. Its commitment to para-equestrian sport has contributed to a strong Paralympic legacy, ensuring riders at all levels can achieve their potential.
RDA UK is at a pivotal moment, with a relatively new leadership team and ambitious plans to strengthen support for its network of member groups.
About the role
The Director of Fundraising & Communications is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for leading an integrated strategy across RDA UK’s income generation and communications functions.
With a stable annual voluntary income of £2m, this role is about unlocking RDA UK’s full potential—diversifying income streams, refining cases for support, and ensuring a strong, cohesive approach between fundraising and communications. It is an opportunity to drive long-term sustainability, elevate RDA UK’s national profile, and strengthen external engagement through strategic leadership and collaboration.
As Director of Fundraising and Communications, you will:
- Lead the strategic direction for fundraising and communications, ensuring both functions work in alignment to maximise income and engagement.
- Oversee fundraising strategy, supporting the Head of Fundraising in strengthening income streams, particularly in major gifts, corporate partnerships, trusts, and legacies.
- Ensure RDA UK’s brand and communications strategy enhances fundraising, advocacy, and supporter engagement, working closely with the Head of Communications.
- Guide the development of compelling cases for support, positioning RDA UK as a leading force in health, wellbeing, disability, and sport.
- Represent RDA UK at a senior level, engaging major funders, corporate partners, and key stakeholders to unlock new opportunities.
- Support and develop the Heads of Fundraising and Communications, ensuring they are empowered to lead their teams effectively and drive success.
About you
This role will suit a strategic and hands-on leader, comfortable balancing income growth, team leadership, and external engagement. We’re open to a range of backgrounds, but you’ll likely be:
- An experienced fundraising leader with expertise across multiple income streams, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, trusts, and legacies.
- A strong team builder, adept at developing leaders and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Confident in evolving a case for support, developing fundable propositions, and engaging new funders.
- Ability to oversee and strengthen communications strategies, ensuring integration with fundraising
- Familiar with federated structures or excited by the challenge of maximising the impact of a network of independent organisations.
- An engaging advocate for RDA UK, able to build relationships across funders, partners, and the wider equestrian and disability communities.

Our fundraising team bridges the journey of the animals in our care with the wider public, demonstrating how their contributions enable us to support every dog and cat. We now have several new roles within this team to further our mission.
We are seeking a Face to Face Fundraising Project Manager to aid the development of Battersea’s face-to-face programme across our regular giving, sponsorship and lottery products.
The postholder will use their experience of face-to-face fundraising to analyse the existing programme and ways of working, identify improvements, contribute best practice, upskill the team and develop a long-term plan for face-to-face fundraising.
The key objective of this role is to quickly get to grips with the current face-to-face programme and rapidly identify opportunities for improvement/uplift and operationalise any recommendations. The postholder will not be responsible for day-to-day management of face-to-face activity, volume or income targets or agency relationships.
Please note that this opportunity is for a fixed term of 3-4 months.

Join Our Team as a Virtual Challenges Manager!
After a significant period of growth, Social AF is excited to announce an opportunity for a Virtual Challenges Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in managing relationships with our charity partners and overseeing the performance and development of our moderators. With a team of 30 Moderators and Team Leaders (self-employed contractors) supporting up to 25 events in peak months, you will ensure the smooth operation of our social fundraising challenges. Your responsibilities will include monitoring KPIs, developing training programs, and recruiting new team members. Additionally, you will manage a portfolio of charity partner accounts, providing top-notch service to maximise income generation and ensure challenges run to an exceptional standard. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced fundraiser who thrives on building relationships and delivering high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a portfolio of key charity partner accounts, including hosting weekly update meetings and providing ongoing support throughout the duration of their challenge.
- Provide expert advice to our charity partners to maximise their challenge income.
- Develop and deliver end-of-challenge reports.
- Conduct ongoing challenge and performance analysis.
- Maximise retention for existing charity partners.
- Identify charity partners that are a good fit for our other services and support with cross-selling.
- Work with the Virtual Challenges Officer on content plans, supporter journeys, and event setup.
- Line manage the Virtual Challenges Officer.
- Lead the management of our moderation team.
- Assist with moderator training, including identifying knowledge/skill gaps, creating materials, and delivering training.

Person Specification:

About the Role
Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) is responding to the largest emergency in our 40-year history. Over the last year support for our cause has seen significant growth in income as tens of thousands of supporters have joined MAP. Our challenge now is to retain this interest and ensure we sustain income as we respond to the ongoing emergency and the longer-term health of Palestinians over the coming years. With an ambition to be a £50m organisation in the next five years, our Individual Giving team will play a key role in enabling over one million Palestinians to access improved healthcare annually by 2028.
Play a pivotal role in the planning and delivery of MAP’s digital fundraising programme, in line with our ambitious five-year organisational vision and Individual Giving strategy. This role will form a key part of a new and growing team responsible for the delivery of successful digital fundraising campaigns, reporting on digital marketing performance, supporter journey development and new product/channel discovery.
About You
MAP is looking for a dynamic digital fundraising officer to support our Individual Giving Team’s ambitious growth targets. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record in managing paid digital campaigns and a keen eye for digital advertising content planning. You should feel comfortable using platforms like Meta & Google Ads manager and GA4 for the purposes of campaign optimisation and report building. You'll also have some experience in managing fundraising web content, like landing pages and a knowledge of donation fundraising platforms.
You’ll have strong relationship building skills with experience of working with external agencies and internal comms, campaigning and programme teams. Familiarity with Ramadan giving campaigns and emergency fundraising is a plus, but not essential.
Duties and key responsibilities
Planning and management of digital advertising campaigns
· Work with the Digital Fundraising Manager and agency partners to plan, execute and optimise MAP’s paid digital fundraising activity.
·Work with colleagues in the communications team to source compelling stories and impact stats suitable for digital advertising content.
·Develop a digital advertising content plan that compels prospects to donate, act with and continue supporting MAP.
·Support with the development of audience segmentation and testing plans across MAP’s key digital fundraising platforms.
·Support in trialling new paid digital advertising product tests, namely lead generation campaigns.
Reporting and insights
·Support the Digital Fundraising Manager on reporting and internally communicating the impact of MAP’s digital advertising activities.

· Support the Digital Fundraising Manager in the management of MAP’s key donation platform – Fundraise Up.
· Help to manage MAP’s online Zakat giving process, improving the Zakat giving journey where possible.
Invoice processing and administration
· Work with colleagues in finance to process invoices from agency partners and key ad platforms like Meta ads and Google ads on a monthly basis.
·Audit and manage user access to all MAP’s digital advertising and analytics platforms, ensuring passwords are safely stored and appropriate levels of access are given to colleagues and agency partners.
·Conduct ‘housekeeping’ audits on live digital ads accounts and feedback areas in need of attention to the Digital Fundraising Manager and our agency partners.
Person Specifications:
Experience / Knowledge
· Experience in developing content plans to support paid digital fundraising activity on key channels like Meta ads and Google Ads.

Purpose of role:
FareShare South West’s (FSSW) fundraising need and strategy has developed and diversified rapidly in line with major growth since 2017. As a charity we bring in annually over £700k in fundraised income from trusts and foundations, corporate donations, individual donors, major donors, community, and events. In the next year this is set to grow as we plan exciting new services across Bristol, Devon, and Cornwall.
The Fundraising Assistant (FA) is a new entry-level fundraising role that will be vital in supporting our growing team with donor, corporate and events administration and looking after our community fundraising income stream. This role will enable lots of learning experiences in donor support processes and systems, compelling copywriting, data management and supporter stewardship.
The FA will be responsible for the development and day-to-day administration of our community fundraising income stream for individuals and corporate community groups, from bake sales to sponsored skydives. They will represent FSSW at events and steward community groups that are fundraising for FSSW, acting as an ambassador in promoting our work across the whole south west.
This role will primarily be based in our central Bristol office with the option for some hybrid working and occasional travel to our Plymouth and Bristol warehouses and events locations. The successful candidate will be expected to be able to work on very occasional weekend or evening events, accruing time off in lieu.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Community and Events

Engage community groups e.g. Women’s Guild, local faith groups, FSSW volunteers and school/university group who wish to raise funds for FSSW, acting as the primary contact

Provide outstanding stewardship of both individual and group fundraisers, where necessary support with JustGiving and other fundraising pages and providing tips on promoting their fundraiser.

Develop a calendar of sporting events and other fundraising opportunities to engage new and existing supporters. Work with the FSSW communications team to promote opportunities.

Work closely with Supporter Care Officer (SCO) in instances where individual donors engage with fundraising events, as part of the wider strategy of donor engagement.

The fundraising manager role sits in the fundraising team within the external relations division. The fundraising team is responsible for raising between £1m and £1.5m in fundraised income annually. Frontline’s philanthropic income complements the significant contract income the charity receives from central and local government and enables the charity to carry out its broader mission to create social change for hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged children.
Since we were founded in 2013, Frontline has leveraged its success to build committed, high impact partnerships with a number of prestigious supporters including trusts and foundations, corporates and high net worth individuals. Our new fundraising strategy focuses on continuing to grow our network of supporters by maintaining excellent relationships with our current funders while identifying new potential donors, and at the same time testing and developing fundraising through community and events and individual giving.
The successful candidate will work closely with the head of fundraising and the fundraising officer to implement Frontline’s annual fundraising plan, taking specific responsibility for growing our public fundraising income through community and events fundraising, individual giving and digital fundraising while also supporting building and developing partnerships with corporates. The Ukraine Humanitarian appeal raised £439 million and helped an estimated 6.9 million people in Ukraine and neighbouring countries. The Grants Manager is integral in working closely with DEC colleagues and member charities to build and sustain, a solid understanding of the evolving humanitarian context. The Grants Manager will also lead on oversight of the DEC Ukraine programme including the reporting cycle, adaptive programming and facilitate strong and relevant engagement with DEC member charities and local partners as well as external briefings over the duration of the response.

We support babies, children and young people, along with their families, at The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital and The Trevor Mann Baby Unit in Brighton and all of the specialist children’s wards and baby units throughout Sussex.
We deliver and fund projects that enable doctors and nurses to do more. All of projects are led by the needs of children and young people and their families – the lifesaving medical equipment, the support for parents and families, the toys for children spending time in hospitals across Sussex, the environments and spaces that help children feel more at home when they are in hospital and additional staff to make sure children get the best possible care when they are unwell.
Originally set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann, we have been supporting children for more than 55 years, and in that time, we have supported nearly a million children and their families. As the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, including the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, we work with the NHS, charity partners and the Sussex community to ensure children can be children no matter now sick they are.
We do not receive any government, statutory or local authority funding and so we rely on the generous support of individuals, community groups, companies and trusts: people like you, who care about children and want Sussex to be a safe place for children to grow up.
About the role
In 2022 we launched our three-year strategic plan, which prioritised our activities to enable us to support more babies, children and teenagers. As we enter the final year of this strategy the charity continues to expand and develop its projects and services children all over Sussex.
This role will support the Head of Fundraising & Partnerships in securing income in line with targets across our fundraising portfolio, to ensure we can continue to deliver life-saving projects for children and young people across Sussex.
You’ll bring excellent organisational skills, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, a can-do attitude, evidence of brilliant relationship management skills and a passion and enthusiasm for fundraising. Duties of the role
Supporting the charity to secure income from across our fundraising portfolio:
Rockinghorse raises money to support children in hospitals, their families and the staff that care for them.
· Support the delivery of a programme of unique and income generating Rockinghorse events according to agreed plans each year, to be determined by postholder in collaboration with the Head of Fundraising & Partnerships.
· Support the creation of new, exciting and innovative events for the charity that support the charity’s objectives – to thank supporters, to engage new and existing supporters, to generate income and/or raise our profile.
· Support with expanding our external and third-party events programme working with external events companies to deliver existing events and developing new ones that support the charity’s mission and maximising the income they generate for the charity.
· Work with our Head of Marketing & Communication to develop seasonal campaigns (Spring and Christmas) that appeal to, educate and inform our supporters and generate income (against agreed targets).
· Maintain and develop the charity’s central database (e-Tapestry) for fundraising activities and supporters.
· Undertake reporting function for fundraising activities and supporters.
· Work with the Head of Fundraising & Partnerships on budgeting and reporting of income generating activities.
· Represent the charity at our events and activities, which will include evenings and weekends.
· Support the charity’s income generation strategy, in line with the charity’s strategic plan, which generates the income and ROI required to further Rockinghorse’s charitable mission.
Supporting the charity to deliver brilliant, funded projects that support children and their families:
Rockinghorse delivers and funds around 70 projects per year – supporting sick and disabled babies, children, young people and their families in hospitals in Sussex.
· Work with Head of Fundraising & Partnerships to match projects to partners, supporters and appeals – to ensure our projects are funded and delivered.
· Work with Head of Fundraising & Partnerships to create case for supports for our projects that appeal to and attract a range of supporters.
· Work with Projects Manager, project leads and Head of Marketing & Communication to create and disseminate project updates and communication to ensure our supporters are informed, educated and engaged in our work.
· Work with the Head of Marketing and Communications and project leads to build up a bank of case studies, quotes and stories we can use to feed back to supporters.
Support the charity more widely:
· Represent Rockinghorse at events, activities and networks, building strong peer relationships and sharing best practice.
· Model excellent conduct and behaviours in line with the charity’s values and ethos.
· Carry out other such duties as may be required for the purposes of the charity; this will include working during evenings and weekends as required and the postholder would be expected to work flexibly to do so.
· There are travel requirements for this post (covering the whole of Sussex) to attend, put on events and meet with our supporters.
Person specification
Essential experience, skills and knowledge for the role:
1. Experience and understanding of the principles of fundraising in a charity and/or not for profit.
2. Experience and understanding managing events.
3. Able to work collaboratively and build productive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and third-party agencies.
4. Able to prioritise own workload effectively and confidence to work autonomously.
5. Excellent time management skills with strong prioritisation and organisation skills.
6. Brilliant communication and interpersonal abilities – able to engage with stakeholders quickly and effectively.
7. Ability to handle confidential supporter information.
8. Experience of using customer relationship management platforms (Rockinghorse uses e-Tapestry).

Desirable experience, skills and knowledge:
1. Experience managing communications and/or marketing to support fundraising engagement and support.
2. Previous work experience with a non-profit, or charitable organisation.
