Overview:

Following the successful application of a National Lottery award, we are seeking two dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Group Development Officers to set up and sustain local peer support groups for people living with and affected by prostate cancer. These roles focus on building on our established networks to expand peer support in defined areas, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery through strategic outreach and resource development.

The EMHP Programme Director role sits within the Education and Training Division at Anna Freud within the Workforce Programmes stream in Post-Graduate Studies.   

The post-holder will deliver a high quality, academically coherent and inclusive programme curriculum in line with the evolving EMHP National Curriculum, UCL and British Psychological Society (BPS) accreditation standards.

World Obesity Federation is seeking an Events Coordinator to join their team as maternity cover.

World Obesity Federation (WOF) is a worldwide federation with over 100 members and takes a holistic view of obesity from cause and prevention to treatment. WOF is a lead partner to global agencies on obesity, including WHO, and a member of the Global Obesity Coalition.

This position will begin assisting the Events Manager with the events programme and continue as maternity cover in 2025. Main responsibilities will include managing the educational events programme including in person obesity management training courses ‘Scope Schools’ as part of the SCOPE e-learning site held regularly throughout the year, and monthly educational webinars, alongside the Head of Education.

Also working with Head of Policy on medium sized events such as the Global Obesity Forum in person in New York in September 2025, and other smaller policy and fundraising meetings throughout the year. Also included in the role is managing webinars for World Obesity Day and other campaign days.

It will also involve managing the planning of the bi-annual congress the International Congress on Obesity to be held in Mexico City June 2026, overseeing the work of the PCO and organising committees to ensure development is on schedule and key milestones are achieved.

As the Peer to Peer Groupwork Facilitator you will set up, lead and deliver a year-long peer to peer group programme for bereaved families who have experienced the sudden and unexpected death of a baby or young child.

The groupwork is based on a programme led by Harvard University and Boston’s Children’s hospital and has structured sessions drawing upon psychological model of CBT, although the sessions are not therapeutic. Each session has a theme and incorporates education, guidance and support.

You will establish and deliver a new peer online support group, facilitating group formation, and enhancing service delivery and creating a safe and welcoming space for bereaved families.

Outside the group sessions you will be responsible for managing the administration and evaluation of the service, including and collection of questionnaires and feedback required for reporting purposes and supporting members with any signposting requirements processing referrals, carrying out eligibility screening, monitoring the waiting list and inputting and keeping all database member and service records up to date.

Purpose of this role

Key information

Salary: £37,000 – 39,000 per annum (pro rata £31,700 to £33,400)

Hours: 30 hours per week (over a minimum of 4 days)

Contract: Fixed term contract until 30 April 2026 (extension subject to funding)

What is the overall purpose of the role?

At Youth Action Alliance, our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea and neighbouring boroughs, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present, and promote their ambitions for the future.

The Staying Connected project provides weekly one-to-one and group support for young people aged 11 - 19 years, facing multiple challenges. Creating a personal action plan comprised of positive activities that promote and enhance personal development and skills, building on young people’s strengths. This engagement is via face-to-face, online platforms, mobile phones and structured group work to maintain contact with them, talking about how they are feeling and to provide advice, mentoring and signposting to additional support services.

Key Responsibilities

Programme management

• Programme Delivery: Coordinate and oversee the development and implementation of a personal and social development programme for young people aged 11-19.
• Recruitment: Engage and recruit young people to participate in the programme.
• Partnerships: Strengthen local partnerships
• Risk and Safety: Update risk assessments and conduct regular health and safety checks
• Promotion: Manage promotional activities, including social media
• Funding Management: Handle project funding, do financial reports, and manage the budget and expenditure.
• Support Services: Provide one-to-one or group support through various communication channels and help young people achieve positive outcomes
• Action Plans: Create and monitor individual action plans for participants to track their goals and progress.
• Activities: Organize trips and positive activities in line with the programme
• Administration: Manage day-to-day operations and oversee all administrative tasks related to the programme.
• Partnership Building: Seek and build partnerships with external stakeholders
• Representation and Liaison: Represent the organisation at various meetings

Staff management

• Staff Management: Oversee and guide the Staying Connected Support Worker(s) to ensure high performance and efficient delivery of the programme.
• Facilitator Management: Directly manage facilitators involved in the programme,

Reporting / grant management

• Budget Reporting: Prepare and present budgetary reports
• Data Management: Ensure the accuracy and timely input of project data,
• Performance Monitoring: Collate and present statistics on project performance
• Report Production: Generate reports demonstrating key data
• Business Development: Identify and pursue business development opportunities to build new partnerships and enhance programme delivery.

Evaluation

• Feedback Collection: Gather and document feedback on young people's experiences and progress through various methods
• Impact Demonstration: Use collected feedback to demonstrate the programme's impact and support efforts to secure future funding.
• Youth Voice Integration: Ensure that the feedback and perspectives of young people are incorporated into the design and delivery of the service

Person Specification

Knowledge & Experience

The Staying Connected Support Worker will bring:

• Minimum Youth Work and/or Mentoring Qualification Level 3
• Experience in the charity sector, the voluntary sector, or the community sector would be desirable.
• Management experience
• Experience working with children, young people and vulnerable adults
• Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, and the ability to use databases for recording and reporting.
• Excellent time-keeper and manages own time effectively to keep to deadlines
• Excellent Literacy – you will have excellent communication skills, including writing skills.
• Have good interpersonal skills and some experience of engaging with a diverse group of people, including young people and vulnerable adults.
• Qualification of Health, wellbeing, and/or advocacy

We’re seeking a brilliant person - or people - to join the team as Philanthropy Manager at an exciting time for the Centre with construction about to begin on our new home.

The Philanthropy Manager will secure gifts from Individuals, Trusts and Foundations in the range of £1,000-£50,000+, and will work closely with the Head of Development, Centre Director and Board to steward gifts at the £50,000+ level.

You will be a relationship-focused fundraiser with experience of face-to-face fundraising, excited by the opportunity to play a key part in launching a major new cultural institution. You will use your experience and key moments on the way to opening to refine, refresh and grow our established giving circles. You will also identify and develop new ways that individuals can support the Centre and our programming before we open our doors in February 2026.

You will be an inspiring and committed ambassador for the Centre and its mission, in person and in writing. You will also be a great team-player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues across the Centre to deliver a dynamic and creative programme of donor cultivation and stewardship.
