The main purpose of the job is to support the Conference and Events Manager with the conference. You will additionally provide administrative support to the office for the database. 

This position reports to BERA’s Conference and Events Manager.

Working with colleagues to support BERA’s meetings or events

• Supporting the Conference and Events Manager on BERA’s flagship annual conference (over 900 delegates), including administration, promotion, scheduling, abstract submission, programming, delegate registrations and the smooth running of the event itself
• Supporting queries and updates on the abstract management system.
• Managing author submissions to ensure their needs are identified and met within agreed arrangements
• Assisting with the peer review system for abstracts to be reviewed and pursuing reviewers
• Supporting the Conference and Events Manager building the programme in the abstract management system
• Supervising delegate liaison to ensure their needs are identified and met within agreed arrangements.
• Assisting the with conference awards administration including collating applications and scores from judges
• Assisting with the development of the mobile app with an external provider that all information is effectively transferred
• Ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery
• Managing liaison with speakers and other participants.

• Acting as first point of call for event enquiries, responding, filtering and referring as appropriate
• Providing support to the Events and Membership Team in absences and on an ad hoc basis
• Undertaking general clerical and other such duties as may reasonably be required, including providing ad hoc secretarial support for other managers as required

‘I AM Brent’ consortium

Step Up Hub leads a consortium, known as I AM Brent, that consists of six well-respected local charities who are working together to address the root causes and effects of violence affecting young people in the London Borough of Brent.

Programme Description

The programme is part of the Mayor of London’s flagship violence reduction programme, known as MyEnds. It is a place-based violence reduction initiative that adopts a public health approach. The consortium is providing an array of positive opportunities for young people and support for families, including through tailored interventions. The programme also aims to improve statutory and voluntary organisation networks and access to referral, and to ensure the voices of young people and community members are built into provision. The work is focused on the Church Road Estate, Stonebridge Estate, St Raphael’s Estate, Chalkhill Estate and Harlesden Town Centre areas.

The Role of the Programme Manager

The Programme Manager will act as the glue between consortium members and provide a key link with statutory bodies, voluntary organisations, and the community. The Programme Manager will be responsible for supporting consortium members with project deliverables where necessary, optimising the integration of provision, overseeing referrals, and brokering community partnerships. The Programme Manager will also schedule meetings and shared activities, provide secretarial support, and represent Step Up Hub and the consortium at relevant meetings.

In addition, the Programme Manager will:

· be responsible for line management of two other Step Up Hub staff members working on I AM Brent programme deliverables, a Network and Communication Lead and a Community Engagement Lead,

· manage, report on, monitor and evaluate the progress of interventions,

· report to VRU, attend VRU meetings, and cascade relevant information from the VRU to consortium members,

· be responsible for engaging stakeholders and community partners, identifying and leveraging their skills, expertise and assets, and leading on youth and community forums

· help engender an environment of trust and collaboration to support stakeholders and community partners engage positively with Step Up Hub and the consortium,

· manage a grant pot and support the delivery of small projects that are funded from it,

· work to actively promote the consortium and Step Up Hub’s activities, as per the organisational guidelines, through producing publicity materials and written reports for regular newsletters and by keeping the website updated,

· coordinate and monitor project budgets, working alongside the finance officer as required,

· ensure that safeguarding is central to the service delivery and is systemically built into case management processes,

· ensure equality of opportunity is embedded in all service delivery by Step Up Hub and consortium partners,

· provide secretarial services for the project steering group, progress meetings and small grants awarding panel.

Main duties

Of all the staff in prisons, they spend the most time with prisoners, they set the prevailing culture in prison, and we know that the most effective prison officers have a hugely positive impact on prisoners. Unlocked Graduates develops outstanding individuals to lead rehabilitation, and in doing so raises the status of the prison officer and makes the frontline of prisons a place where cycles of reoffending can be broken.

The Role

This role sits within the Unlocked Programme Team, which holds responsibility for designing and running training for our new cohorts as well as supporting them across their two years, to enable them to have the most impact possible.

We are looking for an outstanding candidate to support our Programme Team with a wide variety of tasks. The successful candidate will gain an insight into: delivery, curriculum, our work with our Ambassador community as well as the specific training required to become a prison officer.

About the role​

The Community Programme Manager will bring their own experience and knowledge of outstanding community programming to build on and expand the current programme. This is an excellent opportunity for a French speaking Programme Officer to contribute to an organisation that works to protect the world’s forests and strengthen Indigenous Peoples’ and Local Communities’ rights on land and forestry governance. The London Diocesan Fund (LDF) is seeking a Safeguarding Administrator to play a key role within the Safeguarding team, based from Causton Street. 

Job Summary 

The Safeguarding Administrator provides comprehensive administrative support for meetings and safeguarding activities to aid the smooth running of the safeguarding team. This role ensure that the safeguarding team provides a professional and friendly service to parishes within the Diocese of London, and to the London Diocesan Fund.

Job responsibilities 

Administrative support for meetings 

• Provide administrative support for the Safeguarding Leadership Team. 
• Produce high quality accurate minutes of team meetings and ensure they run smoothly. 

Administrative support for safeguarding activity 

• Work with the Safer Churches Programme Manager to provide day to day administrative support, working closely to ensure functions run smoothly.
• Work within national and diocesan safer churches policy and procedures as defined in the safer churches programme of work.
• Support the Safeguarding Advisors with safeguarding agreements and risk assessments as required.
• Provide effective administrative support, maintaining standards as required by the Diocese.

Training administration

About Fobzu

Fobzu was established in 1978 and is dedicated to achieving international support for Palestinian universities, educators and students in their work to defend, build and grow a flourishing and self-determined higher education system, which is essential to the realisation of freedom and progress for the Palestinian people. 

Position Overview

The Programme Officer will support the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Fobzu's advocacy and awareness, and building UK-Palestine higher education links programmes. This role involves working closely with the director, partners, managing projects, and ensuring the effective delivery of initiatives aimed at mobilising support for Palestinian universities and raising awareness about the challenges faced by Palestinian students and educators.

Key Responsibilities

1. Advocacy and Awareness Programme

• Assist in organising webinars and in-person events.

• Undertake research for regular briefings and publications. 

• Help in the delivery of workshops to educate stakeholders about the challenges and opportunities within Palestinian higher education.

• Contribute to work amplifying the voices of Palestinian students and educators through various channels, including Fobzu’s newsletter, social media, events, and written publications.

2. Building UK-Palestine Higher Education Links Programme

• Assist in the development and expansion of Fobzu’s work fostering academic collaboration and exchange between UK and Palestinian higher education institutions.
