Main duties and responsibilities
Providing oversight for key UoGSU functions
- To provide operational leadership to the finance staff team and be the post holder ultimately responsible for the production of management accounts, budgeting information and reports for our Board of Trustees
- To deliver HR administration and support the running of HR systems alongside external partners
- To work with others to ensure the accurate recording of staff training, sickness and performance from across the SU
- To work with others across UoGSU to respond to annual regulatory returns and surveys including the Charity Commission and Companies House
- To act as the lead contact for external providers of insurance, payroll, banking, audit, web services and other providers consummate with a role of this nature
Working with other UoGSU teams
- To work with other UoGSU management staff to ensure that Central Service staff are delivering a high quality product

Digital Marketing Manager
We are looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to be responsible for developing marketing for the newly created Institute of Early Years Education due to be officially launched in August 2024. This is a pivotal role in an exciting new venture, and a career-making opportunity.

The Role

Homeless Action is a large registered charity (No. 1063208) that offers accommodation with support to vulnerable single homeless people. We are looking to appoint a part-time Chef to work flexibly across our hostel sites and at our Community & Hub: The Cafe@264 all based in central Blackpool. The job roles involves preparing, serving and cooking healthy, homemade nutritious meals; helping plan seasonal menus; the ability to work in a busy café and to manage volunteers and assisting in the delivery of some basic life skills training to our hostel residents.

We are looking for a Marketing and Campaigns Officer to be responsible for the marketing across the charity, particularly focusing on the digital channels and campaigns.

The Role
The Marketing and Campaigns Officer is responsible for developing and delivering multi-channel marketing plans, with responsibility for marketing across the charity. This will have a particular focus on digital channels and campaigns, providing copy and strategic direction, but also including marketing of events, products and services. You will collate, analyse and interpret campaign and marketing data to ensure KPIs are met and makes recommendations for future marketing activity. Working closely with the Brand Marketing and Corporate Partnerships Manager, you will liaise with colleagues across the organisation to develop reach through a range of activities.
Main duties include:
- Work with the Brand Marketing & Corporate Partnerships Manager to implement the marketing strategy for the organisation.
- Create and support multi-channel marketing campaigns.
- Track effectiveness of marketing campaigns, report findings to the relevant manager and use data to propose future strategies and campaigns.
- Build the digital presence, increasing traffic and user interactions.
- Research and analyse market trends and competitors.

- Update Content Management Systems and CRMs with relevant content, in particular, the use of Wordpress.

St Martin-in-the-Fields Charity exists so that everyone has a safe place to call home, providing emergency financial help that can transform a person’s circumstances within days. The Charity also funds a range of projects across the UK, providing innovative services within healthcare, legal advice and mental health support to facilitate a long-term transition out of homelessness. The Charity is at a pivotal stage in their development, building on the hugely successful BBC Radio 4 Appeal that will enter its 100th Anniversary in 2026, diversifying income streams to create year-round opportunities to donate.
Key duties for this role include:

Support the development and delivery of individual giving fundraising campaigns to optimise sustainable income and long-term value in line with the Charity’s newly agreed fundraising strategy.

Project manage activity designed to deliver warm engagement and supporter acquisition across all relevant channels - for example, social media, paid search, SMS, email, inserts and mail.

Collaborate with colleagues in the Data Management, Fundraising and Communications teams to ensure individual giving activity is appropriately supported.

Lead on data selections for Individual Giving fundraising campaigns to deliver the best long-term ROI and insightful testing; working closely with the Data team and ensuring that data is handled sensitively, confidentially and is GDPR compliant.

Support the Individual Giving team with forecasting and reporting across financial and non-financial KPIs in relation to the Individual Giving programme.

Support the Individual Giving team with the establishment and roll out of a Mid-Value donor fundraising programme.

The role:
Reporting to the Director of Communication, this role will work closely with the immediate team and effectively across the business and will be responsible for devising and executing impactful internal communication and behaviour change campaigns, in support of key change and inclusion programmes at the Arts Council.
Situated in the Advocacy and Communication team, this new role will collaborate closely with two other groups of internal stakeholders made up of colleagues from across the organisation. One group leads on Transformation programmes for the Arts Council – ensuring they are developing as an organisation fit for the future, from seizing digital opportunities to driving efficiencies; the other group leads on equality, diversity and inclusion work, specifically around putting the recommendations of the recent Inclusion Review. This role will provide pivotal support for the Arts Council as they continue to evolve as an organisation, by shaping insight-driven audience engagement, managing internally focussed messaging around change programmes, convening staff networks and forums, liaising with various internal stakeholders and proactively utilising the Intranet to galvanize and foster deeper understanding of inclusion and learning across staff teams.
The person:
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of change management and internal communication project delivery, ideally with a large national charity or indeed in a local authority, central government, NHS Trust or Higher Education environment. This person will have led on initiatives, possibly EDI related, but most importantly transformation and change, where internal messaging, mobilising forums and staff engagement has been central to success.
An effective communicator, both verbally and in writing, this person will be confident and proactive with excellent attention to detail and will be highly organised. A natural problem solver, this person will also be confident in the use of all MS Office packages, creative design products and database management.
