To act as an enthusiastic ambassador for the charity; building strong relationships across a variety of networks to support and develop the public presence of the charity and community fundraising income. The role may involve evening and weekend working to support community fundraising activities and events, and working hours are flexible to reflect this.

Key Duties

Fundraising:

• Be the primary point of contact for new and existing supporters.
• Proactively look for opportunities to support and develop local fundraising initiatives.
• Develop and deliver a varied range of fundraising activities to a range of audiences, including events and campaigns.
• Act as an ambassador for the charity with local community groups and organisations.
• Work with the wider team to develop relationships with local businesses and corporate partners.
• Work to set targets and generate income. Work with the wider team to recruit and support local fundraising volunteers.
• Maintain up to date records of communication with funders; income generated and how this compares to budget.
• Keep up to date with the latest fundraising trends, regulations and news.

Marketing & Communications:

• Develop the charity’s public presence and brand.
• Produce marketing materials to represent the charity and its projects, including online newsletters, print media and merchandise.
• Manage the charity’s digital content including social media channels and website.
• Support with e-commerce and support the enterprise team to maximise opportunities.
• Represent the organisation at networking events, meetings and other outside events, as necessary.

Other:

• Supporting other members of the team to deliver activities; including, but not limited to, activity days and evening clubs.
• To help develop new and innovative ideas to help our target groups and meet our charitable objectives.
• To carry out any other duties within the general scope of the post, as directed by your line manager/the Co-Directors.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Have a sound education to A-level standard or equivalent.

Experience:

• Experience of supporting community fundraisers; have a good understanding of community and events fundraising and supporter care.
• Experience of developing marketing materials in a variety of mediums.
• Be adept in using a variety of social media channels and platforms.

Skills:

• Demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to represent the charity in a variety of settings.
• Be able to prioritise and demonstrate excellent planning, organisational and time management skills.
• Excellent IT skills in a variety of website platforms and applications which should include Microsoft Office, Wix and WordPress.

To take responsibility for the co-ordination, organisation of and entries to all public examinations across Inscape House School. To ensure Inscape House School adhere to the legal framework for the Joint Council for Qualifications and for all examination bodies

Responsibilities include but are not exhaustive;

• To have full responsibility for the organisation and supervision of the school and extended services as an examination centre, ensuring adequate security and the adherence to appropriate examination board regulations and routines.

To do this we are looking to appoint a Business Support Officer to provide a range of financial support duties and administer the organisation’s general ledger and finance system.

This post will provide high-quality support to the technology and operations of the organisation, to ensure the smooth running of the main site and enable YAA to meet and deliver on its core objectives and obligations. The post holder will provide administrative support to YAA, covering a wide range of tasks and activities including (but not limited to) procurement coordination, travel and logistics, department meetings and off-site activities, diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking for our board and meetings for staff, members and stakeholders.

This role is key to helping us grow and empower our school and chef partners through our Membership. You’ll work closely with the Programme Manager and Procurement Manager to improve the membership offering and build a strong community of schools, chefs, and suppliers.

Your work will be varied, from managing membership administration to building supplier relationships and helping with communication between schools and stakeholders. As the membership grows, you’ll work with the team to help improve the support, networks, and systems available to members. • Support the Head of UK to develop and implement a UK public affairs and communications plan to meet the strategic needs of the organisation across climate, nature, corporate accountability, the rule of law, and in partnership with communications, digital and programmes teams. 
• Proactively stay abreast of political and media developments and any relevant priority policy developments in the UK and manage reactions to political developments.
• Monitor relevant developments in the UK Parliament, in line with the agreed UK strategy and coordinate and track engagement.
• Develop communications plans for CEO profile on priority communications and policy issues, working with colleagues across the communications team to do so.
• Support senior leaders in the UK to build and maintain relationships in line with the strategic needs of ClientEarth, and in line with the agreed priorities, including with elected officials, political advisers, journalists, civil servants, local leaders and their advisers and other public bodies.

The Marketing and Communications Officer is an important role at the College as you will proactively support the creation and execution of targeted marketing campaigns and activities, helping to ensure that the RCPCH continues to lead the way in children’s health.

As Marketing and Communications Officer, you will create high-quality and compelling content in multiple formats, ensuring it is on-brand, whilst also taking responsibility for the day-to-day management of paid marketing campaigns across social media and other channels.

A key member of the marketing team and reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, you will proactively work with stakeholders to gather required content and assets to ensure College marketing priorities are carefully planned and scheduled. You will analyse reporting data to improve marketing performance, whilst frequently liaising with stakeholders to suggest enhancements and improvements and advising on how to optimise.

With a good standard of education, you should have demonstrable experience of Google Analytics and email marketing, whilst having a background in Multi-Media Content production with experience of editing.

With social media marketing experience (both paid and organic) you should also have a good knowledge and understanding of Design & Media editing applications (eg. Canva).

An awareness and understanding of the principles of Project Management would be desirable, as would knowledge of Hootsuite, Ad Words and Dot digital, along with experience of the Adobe suite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the delivery of community fundraising marketing activity, meeting recruitment and income targets
• Create and implement operational plans for the team including marketing and content
• Manage marketing campaigns through a mix of media from concept to delivery

Purpose of the Job

This is a great opportunity for someone who’s passionate about supporting the delivery of the youth engagement strategy for the #iwill Movement and ensuring they are at the centre of our work at UK Youth.

Reporting to the Youth Development Project Manager, you will support the development and delivery of opportunities for young people to engage in our work towards our collective goals. Working within the Network Delivery department, you will be responsible for organising and delivering a range of projects and workstreams to enable young people across the UK Youth and #iwill Movement to express their views, have them listened to and to create positive change. You will create positive relationships with young people, so that our work is driven by their voices and experiences, helping to develop and deliver a range of opportunities and activities to build and engage networks of young people. You will help empower young people to become active citizens and creative positive change, by creating innovative ways for young people to engage in various networks through volunteering, social action and campaigning projects.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the effective delivery of a programme of development and engagement activities with young people across the #iwill Movement

• Manage the scheduling and organisation of activities across project workstreams, ensuring project management processes are in place to enable excellent standards of delivery

• Facilitate young people to build their skills and confidence so that young people’s participation and contribution are maximised and able to express their views

Job Summary 

Work as a team to support the Diocese of London in safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults in line with both UK legislation and House of Bishops Guidance. Responds well to safeguarding allegations and concerns, management of risk and making the church a safer place in line with the Church of England National Safeguarding Standards. 

Job responsibilities 

Casework  

• Respond to concerns and allegations of harm, working with statutory agencies; and protection of those who work with children and vulnerable adults in line of the House of Bishops Guidance.

• Acting as a contact point for those in church and statutory agencies, provide advice on all safeguarding matters, ensuring the DST is operating in line with the law, government guidance and national practice guidance from the House of Bishops. Ensure that safeguarding procedures are carried out throughout the process, with appropriate liaison with statutory agencies.

• Ensure appropriate support for alleged victims and their families and respondents and their families, throughout an investigation and thereafter.

• Maintain practices standards in all case work, ensuring five key principles underpin all adult safeguarding work, human rights and have due regard to mental capacity and acting in the best interests of those in need of support. Supporting practice and policy development around case management safeguarding processes. 

• Work with individuals who come to our attention to ensure appropriate risk assessment and risk management plans to set boundaries within a church setting; for those who are convicted of an offence, or where there are continuing unresolved concerns regarding risks to others.

• Work with statutory agencies, including attending appropriate strategy meetings, case conferences as arranged by statutory agencies or requested by the Casework Manager or Head of Safeguarding.

• Ensure that referrals to the DBS for barring from work with children or vulnerable adults and reports to the Charities Commission are submitted in line with statutory guidance. 

• Ensure that the Bishop of London, area Bishop, Archdeacon and Head of Safeguarding and Case Work Manager are always informed when an allegation of abuse is made against a church officer. To manage case work within legal parameters and in line with the House of Bishops Guidelines.

General 

• Provide professional safeguarding advice and undertake pro-active relationship management to ensure parishes and worshipping communities are aware of their responsibilities in relation to safeguarding children and adults who may be at risk of abuse or neglect; to keep them abreast of policy and practice developments. 

• Under the direction of the Safer Churches Programme Manager to undertake strategic safeguarding projects and improvement work including polices and projects in line with identified business needs and operational plans. Developing initiatives to support the effective implementation across your designated area in order to ensure excellent safeguarding practices across the Diocese. 

• Understand and implement, where necessary, information sharing protocols.

• Assess risk and advise on safer recruitment with the use of the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Training and Professional Development 

• Deliver where required training including bespoke inputs when gaps are identified and the Parish Safeguarding Officer Induction package.

• Undertake as appropriate continuing training and professional development in the safeguarding field.

Person Specification 

Essential 

• A social work qualification recognised by the Health and Care Professional Council, or a similar qualification in a related area/profession, or experience.

• Specific training in a variety of aspects of child or adult safeguarding.

Recently our members voted to create a new u3a Council to act as a conduit between the national body and the over 1000 independent u3as throughout the UK. The new Council will be the vehicle by which members’ views and priorities will feed into and shape the overall work of the u3a national body. 

The Council Officer will support the implementation and running of the new u3a Council and play an integral role in embedding the Council into the existing structures of the Trust. They will work with the CEO and the Council Chair to ensure the Council has the support and resources it requires. The role will bring external ideas into the movement by identifying research, reports and speakers that might help inform its work. The officer will also prepare reports, agendas, minutes and be responsible for the general administration of the council and its working groups. 

The role would suit someone with an interest in community engagement and participation or policy and research in these areas. The right candidate will be able to work flexibly across a range of responsibilities and develop and implement ways of working as the Council develops, whilst having the ability to work with and manage a large group of volunteer's wide range of views and opinions.
