About the role
We are now seeking an experienced and qualified finance professional to take responsibility for the finance function of the charity and its trading subsidiary. The chosen candidate will be joining our team as we embark on an exciting new chapter in improving our site and growing our capacity. The Finance Manager will work with the CEO to ensure the organisation has guidance and support on all matters relating to finance so that the charity and its trading subsidiary are always compliant and secure. The ideal candidate will therefore be detail-oriented and well-organised, with the ability to develop effective working processes and procedures, and the analytical skills to inform managerial decision-making. Core Responsibilities
Financial Management:
· Day to day management of the organisation’s financial and administrational activities, ensuring that appropriate systems are in place to receive and make payments, and to monitor financial performance of both the charity and the trading subsidiary
· Invoicing and, where required, debt management processes
· Regular reconciliation of bank and other relevant accounts
· Design and implementation of appropriate financial procedures, ensuring they are followed at all times
· Preparation of monthly payroll data and submission to external provider
· Managing all relevant tax aspects for the charity, ensuring that tax is appropriately calculated, collected, reported and paid
· Ensuring appropriate policies are in place, and updating these as required
· Carrying out other financial management activities to meet the evolving needs of the organisation
Financial Monitoring:
· Monitoring and managing cash-flow
· Monitoring financial performance of individual divisions
Financial Reporting and Budgeting:
· Preparation of monthly management accounts for both the charity and trading subsidiary and other financial analysis required by the CEO or Board of Trustees
· Preparing and supporting the independent verification/audit of annual accounts and any other financial reporting required to meet our obligations to the Charity Commission & Companies House
· Preparation and agreement of the annual budget and any required re-forecasts throughout the financial year
· Preparation of ad hoc financial analysis as required by the CEO or Board of Trustees
Procurement:
· Procurement and management of services and consumables required to support the organisation
Grant Administration:
· Overseeing the administration of grants and contracts, including ensuring eligibility of participants, submitting claims and other data required by funders, invoicing and budget monitoring, ensuring that all deadlines are met
· Supporting fundraising efforts, including preparing budgets for proposals
· Supporting the CEO to develop financial strategies for the organisation
General Administration / Other:
· Monitoring developments in financial regulations affecting the Garden, and ensuring processes / procedures are updated as required
· Liaison with the Board of Trustees on all financial matters and, where appropriate, attendance at Board meeting

Campbell Rd Young Peoples service provides support and housing for 55 young people in Tower Hamlets that are either leaving care of affected by youth homelessness. The Support Worker role will be to manage a caseload of approx 7-10 young people .You will be expected to deliver positive outcomes for all our young people and support them to reach independence, keep safe and maintain their tenancy's. Aside from support workers delivering support there is a strong element of housing management associated wit this role, for example managing rents, raising/monitoring repairs and health and safety.

Role Summary
The purpose of the post is:
- To organise and deliver a range of on-site corporate, donor, Capital and other ad-hoc events generated by the Development department, such as drink receptions, seated dinners, backstage talks, private building tours, press nights and corporate training events. In collaboration with the Head of Events, taking ownership of, and leading on, a combination of these events.
- To assist in the delivery of all major fundraising events.
- To lead on all events administrative duties including managing the schedule of events and communicating information to internal departments, external suppliers and sponsor stakeholders.
Your Team
The Development Events Manager is essential to deliver events that support the aims of the team and organisation.
We are at a key stage in our fundraising efforts, as we continue to raise funds for our capital development, a new Backstage building adjoining the existing historical building, which will house a new studio theatre, learning centre and café/workspaces over five storeys. Ground has been broken on this exciting project and we aim to open it in 2025.
You will be joining a high performing Development team who take great pride in their work to raise income for The Old Vic. Whilst you’ll sit within the wider Development team, the events team is a busy team consisting of the Events Manager and Head of Events. Your skills will lie in organisation, teamwork, superb attention to detail and event planning and delivery.
Areas of responsibility
The Development Events Manager will be responsible for:
Event Planning & Organisation:
- Prior to a show going on sale, working with the Development team to schedule all the department’s event requirements, ensuring tickets and spaces are held in good time
- Support in organising all event logistics such as catering, drinks, flowers, furniture hire, entertainment, lighting and negotiating the best price with external contractors
- To manage relationships with clients, suppliers and internal Old Vic teams to the highest possible standards
- Ensure guest speakers are booked in, sending timely reminders and speech/briefing notes
- Approaching creative teams, The Old Vic’s Senior Management team, and cast to ensure they attend the necessary events
- Liaising with wider Development team to gather any outstanding information for upcoming events
- Completing events memos and confidently discussing them at weekly meetings
- Planning and managing all event deadlines and ensuring information is circulated and received in good time with internal stakeholders, external clients and suppliers; such as RSVPs, final numbers and dietary requirements
- Supported by the Head of Events, plan and deliver 1-2 Press Night parties a year
- Leading on the scheduling, planning and delivery of The Old Vic’s lucrative and developing Corporate Training programme, including liaison with and contracting of facilitators, external clients, caterers and Stage Team, booking space and producing schedules, while working closely with the Corporate Development officer to ensure outstanding quality of delivery.
Event Delivery:
- Attending evening, early morning and weekend events as and when required
- Overseeing the event setup, ensuring all requirements are met. Delivering the event in partnership with the Event Duty Manager and representing the Development team at events
- Being the central contact for the Event Duty Manager, Event Team, caterer, suppliers, internal stakeholders and external clients
- Managing guest arrival and confidently circulating staff and cast around the room with the support of relevant senior team members
- Corporate Training events (including offsite Corporate Training)
- To support colleagues and Head of Events with the delivery of the Backstage building’s event activity
Event Support for Major Events:
- Providing general administrative and event management support for major or ad-hoc fundraising events that may be planned. This support would include:
- Supporting the Head of Events in many aspects of event scheduling, planning and delivery
- Selling tickets, overseeing guest communications and marketing
- To collate all T&Cs for the auction lots and upload copies onto external online site
- Generating ideas for the auction and proactively making asks
- Compiling the programme, liaising with the graphic designer
- Working closely with the Head of Events and Producer to manage all talent communication and logistics, and assisting with the pastoral care of actors, creative and production staff
- Organising travel, itineraries, booking tickets, and arranging accommodation as required
- Scheduling team briefings and preparing briefing content/packs and contact sheets
Overseeing the live event lifecycle alongside the Head of Events, Producer and Production Manager; supporting the team with any requests and assistance on the day
- Post-event maintenance will include taking payments for pledges/auction prizes; sending thank you gifts and arranging debriefs
- Once the event has wrapped, the Events team continues to deliver auction prizes year-round.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Organising signatures for memento books and auction prizes
- To ensure Risk Assessments are in place for all event activity. Representing the Development/ Events team as the Health and Safety representative
- Maintaining the calendars used by the Events team to utmost accuracy:
- Keeping the management of the Clash Calendar and Skedda system up to date with new/cultural events, holidays, etc.
- Booking in additional events as they arise
- Booking tickets for some events and ad-hoc where necessary via Tessitura; maintaining event attendance on Tessitura
- Processing payments, raising POs and ensuring all events run within an agreed budget
- Representing The Old Vic as part of the Development Events Network; undertaking proactive steps to build industry contacts and create supportive networks with peer organisations

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Regional Casework Manager to join the Greater London Region at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.
You will be part of the regional office team, managing two Regional Casework Co-ordinators, which will provide specialist administrative and single point of contact support to SSAFA branch-based volunteers, to ensure a consistent, timely and quality service is provided to SSAFA beneficiaries. The role will require you to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with volunteers, including branch-based casework managers. At times, the role will require support to the Regional Casework Co-ordinators with call handling, signposting, and the triage of initial enquiries from clients.
To help you establish yourself in this post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA. You will influence the processes and procedures within the regional office as it develops, working in a close team and line managed by the Regional Operations Manager.
The post is home-based, but you will have to travel occasionally into London.
About the team
The regional office is a “virtual” office and supports three SSAFA branches in the Greater London region, as the volunteers deliver casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The successful candidate will work as part of a support team which includes two Regional Casework Co-ordinators and a Regional Operations Manager. All team members are home based.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have a good standard of education, experience of managing employees, together with managing and reporting on service delivery. You will have a track record of building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders, together with achieving results through negotiation and influence. Previous experience of working with volunteers would be an asset. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard and be capable of quickly learning a computerised case management system and be proficient with numbers. The successful candidate will have experience of planning and managing their own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous to have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families. An understanding of the voluntary sector would be valuable, and the military charity sector landscape across London would be helpful. About the role:
As the Peer Mentor Coordinator (Young Women & Girls), this is an exciting time to join Advance while we embark on our journey to reach even more young women and girls aged 13-25 in need of support. You will project manage the mentoring service and recruit, support and develop Volunteer Mentors in their roles. Working as part of an innovative and newly-funded service, you will also work closely with the Maia Service Manager to capture and share feedback and learning from the project, using this to inform the ongoing development of Advance’s ways of working with YWG and disseminating findings widely across key partners and networks.
About You:
To be successful as the Peer Mentor Coordinator (Young Women & Girls) you will need the below experience and skills:
You will be able to project manage the Maia’s Service’s peer mentoring programme, liaising with keyworkers and partner agencies to successfully establish and run a peer mentoring programme across six boroughs.
You will be able to effectively engage and recruit women with lived experience to act as Volunteer Mentors for the YWG engaging with the Maia service.
You will be able to develop resources and deliver a training package to Volunteer Mentors, including sessions on key topics such as safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality, building relationships and maintaining boundaries, active listening and risk and crisis management, as well as specialist workshops focused on the challenges facing YWG, including violence, abuse and exploitation and contact with the criminal justice system.
You will have experience in developing and maintaining links with partner agencies (statutory and non-statutory, including children and young people’s and women and girls’ voluntary services) across the six boroughs, raising the profile of the Maia service and developing specific referral pathways for Volunteer Mentors and the YWG they support where appropriate.
You will be knowledgeable and have a strong understanding of the challenges facing vulnerable young women and girls, including the impacts of domestic abuse, exploitation, mental health and contact with the criminal justice system, and of the practical and emotional support needs specific to this group, including education, confidence and relationship-building.

Our highly committed Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the North East England & Yorkshire Regional Office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers.
You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.
To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA.
Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the North East England or Yorkshire region, which includes North, South, East and West Yorkshire, Teesside, County Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. There will be occasional travel around these areas and you may be required to travel at short notice for face to face meetings.
The post is part time, three days per week, working Monday, Tuesday and Wednesdays.
About the team
The team works remotely and prides itself in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the eight SSAFA branches in these regions, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The wider support team includes a Casework Manager and a Regional Operations Manager.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR, along with experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.
It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families, along with supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the North East & Yorkshire would be valuable.
