Founded in 2016 by Sayce Holmes-Lewis alongside Leon Wright and Tyson Holmes-Lewis, Mentivity is an award winning inspirational mentoring organisation and alternative educational provision that aims to provide aspirational support for young people, schools and parents through 1:1 mentoring and group conversation-based learning. Our sole quest is to offer our services to as many young people through our work. 

Main Responsibilties:​

Mentoring and pastoral care 

• Mentor and offer pastoral care to children and young people promoting personal development.

• Lead and deliver engaging and empowering sessions to develop a range of new skills, including leadership, communication, behavioural and organisation skills with children and young people.

Programmes 

• Create, facilitate and deliver curriculum sessions to young people in an engaging and inspiring way, tailoring them as necessary.

• Ensure all administrative tasks (including planning, registers, risk assessments, data collection and outcome monitoring) are completed promptly and accurately. 

Safeguarding

• Ensure all health and safety and safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

• Work collaboratively with schools and local authorities to effectively manage any challenging behaviour.

• Ensure Mentors are briefed on young participants' support needs and that reasonable adjustments are made to best support them.

Stakeholder Management

• Work with the team to promote participation especially by marginalised children and young people within schools.

• Work to actively promote Mentivity, our programmes, services and activities.

• Work closely with the Chief Impact and Operations Officer, Chief Community Officer and schools network to confirm delivery dates and venue logistics. 

• Work with the Programme Development Manager and Chief Impact and Operations Officer to ensure excellent qualitative data is collected to celebrate young participants achievements and promote our programmes/activities.

• Collaborate with external partners and freelancers to ensure our media and content projects are delivered to a high standard, meet briefs, and are innovative.

We are seeking a talented Interim Assistant Director of Programmes and Delivery, fully committed to our widening participation cause, to join the Senior Leadership Team for 8 months.

In your role, you will ensure that our centres are working effectively, that the high quality of programme delivery to young people is maintained across the network, and that targets are monitored and met. And of course, you will need to  have a genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with young people and helping them achieve their ambitions.

Contract
This is an interim role from September 2024 to May 2025. This role can be either full-time or part-time (0.8 FTE) -  responsibilities will be adjusted proportionally for part-time candidates.

We are a delivery organisation providing frontline educational services for young people. The role will be based at one of our centres. We are an organisation with team members at different stages of their career, including many in their first roles: We are committed to nurturing talent and providing a developmental culture for all. Our central operations team works in-person 4 days per week (or 3 days for a 0.8 FTE staff member) with 1 day from home.

Salary

YMCA Robin Hood Group are recruiting a Psychologist to join our not-for-profit children’s trauma-informed, therapeutic residential care service with homes across Nottinghamshire and East Riding.

Our suite of children and young people’s residential services provides trauma-informed care to looked after children with complex trauma presentations, mental health difficulties and/or risk behaviours. As a key part of our team, you will work directly with the children and young people to complete psychological assessments and trauma informed interventions.

You will provide support for recovery through the Ashurst Mastery Model which promotes assets, reduces barriers, prevents and mitigates the impact of trauma and prevents harm and/or re-traumatisation. You will also work with the Home staff teams and facilitate psychologically informed consultations, reflective practice sessions and a skills based intensive training programme with ongoing learner guidance.

Working predominately within our Nottingham homes, you will work Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, generally 9am - 5.30pm but with a degree of flexibility to support the needs of the children. You will also join the on-call rota and provide cover for crisis calls.

In order to be considered for this position, you must hold:

• Doctorate or Stage 2 qualification in Clinical/ Forensic/ Counselling Psychology;
• HCPC Registration as a Clinical/ Forensic/ Counselling Psychologist;
• Membership with the BPS; and
• Post qualification experience in a setting relevant to the post.

The client is currently working with 33 schools and 33 churches in developing discipleship pathways for children and young people in Bolton. As part of an exciting new phase of the project, they are looking to appoint a Chaplaincy Assistant to support the chaplaincy teams within three Bolton CE Secondary schools (within the Bishop Fraser Trust MAT) and to support a local parish in growing their youth ministry.

The Chaplaincy Assistant will support the development of Christian discipleship pathways for young people within school and parish contexts. Terms and Conditions

We are looking someone who will thrive in a varied and innovative role as a Project Worker in the Adult and Family Learning team working across our centres in Govan and Maryhill (Glasgow) with frequent travel Craigmillar (Edinburgh). This is a new and exciting team at the charity, focusing on how we can offer additional impactful support in the local communities in which our Scotland centres are based. The Adult and Family Learning team will work in close collaboration with colleagues at the Universities of Edinburgh and Glasgow.

The pilot will focus on supporting the parents, carers and families of young people accessing the centres, with the potential for this to extend to wider adults in the community. As a Project Worker you will deliver the programme and support the Adult and Family Learning Manager to plan and develop activities tailored according to and with an understanding of the different communities in which it will be offered. Working with colleagues based at the three centres, you will provide a range of activities which will support parents and carers to support their children in their learning, develop their own skills and knowledge around employment and education, and provide a range of family learning activities to engage the whole family together.

Programme delivery staff are based at one of our IntoUniversity learning centres and work directly with young people and families on a regular basis. It is therefore not a hybrid role and is based full-time in our centres.

Are you an enthusiastic people-person with a warm and friendly disposition?  We are looking for a collaborative, self-starter to join our hard-working support and outreach team.  Based in Scotland you will be responsible for maintaining our relationships with the main aplastic anaemia specialist treatment centres in Scotland as well as supporting our Scottish community.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high performing team within The Aplastic Anaemia Trust (AAT). Our team is small, but mighty. Our current Support & Outreach (S&O) team is managed by our S&O Programme Manager and comprises two part-time S&O coordinators who have lived experience of aplastic anaemia. Lived experience is hugely important to us but is not an essential criterion for this role.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This opportunity is for a permanent contract, starting immediately, with a six-month probation period. You will work 14 hours a week during core working hours, your working hours can be arranged flexibly to suit you although we will require you to attend staff meetings which take place on Thursday mornings.

THE APLASTIC ANAEMIA TRUST

The Aplastic Anaemia Trust is the only UK charity providing information, advice and support to people affected by rare disease Aplastic Anaemia. Our vision is that everyone affected by Aplastic Anaemia in the UK should feel empowered and have access to the best possible treatment, care and support so they can lead full and healthy lives. We support our community through one of life’s toughest challenges – diagnosis with a rare bone marrow failure. We currently support around 2,400 people and have around 30 volunteers.

Who will I be changing the lives of?

All of our learners have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and as a result all have some level of additional need.  Some of the most common areas of need that we see are Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism (ASC), ADHD although we work with learners with a much broader range of needs. 

We currently have projects in Rotherham, Barnsley, London and The Midlands.

Main Responsibilities

● To provide support for teaching staff in group teaching sessions, focusing on Maths, English, Occupational Studies and PSD and careers

● To deliver the NCFE Creative Crafts qualification for 1.5 hours per week with the addition of sufficient planning and preparation time

● To deliver one-to-one or two-to-one sessions with individual learners as and when it is required (on and off-site)

● You may be asked to run PSD/careers sessions with guidance, either on a one to one or group basis

● To offer support to all our young people, including those with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)

● To assist teaching staff in the preparation of materials and programmes of work

● To support with planning and participating in Really NEET engagement activities

● To write Behaviour Support Plans for all students and keeping them updated

● To support students who wish to get their CSCS card and driving licence etc

● To support in finding work experience, employment and onward progression opportunities for students

● Identifying and supporting positive transition and progression pathways for young people 

● To maintain a work experience and employment display board

Overall purpose of the role

As our Youth Pastor, you will be part of the Emerging Generations team, which is currently in a fun and exciting position of rebuilding and pioneering a new way of ministry for our Kids, Youth &  Students.

We’re looking for someone with a clear sense of calling to develop our vision to see many young people come to know Jesus. You’ll need a proven track record of shaping a growing youth ministry, equipping young people to become disciples who lead and influence the world around them.

We’ll give you space to pioneer projects which ensure the spiritual, mental, emotional, and relational health of young people. Recognising and releasing gifted volunteers and teams will be essential if we are to continue seeing the momentum that has been building.

Main Responsibilities of the Role

· Communicate and inspire the vision of Saint Paul’s Hammersmith to our youth (11-18 years).

· Grow a healthy and spiritually mature youth ministry through cultivating both one-to-one and group relationships.

· Develop a mentoring/discipleship network for young people to be spiritually supported in their faith journey.

· Create and deliver a plan of mission to meet the needs of local unchurched young people, with a particular vision to build strong relationships with local schools, and maximise opportunities of connecting with SPEAR.

· Innovate, plan, and execute youth events and activities in collaboration with strong volunteer teams.

· Lead, equip and develop the volunteer youth team, offering spiritual guidance and practical training, ensuring they are well supported to facilitate all that is required of them in the youth ministry and beyond.

· Build good relationships with parents, helping them to understand the work of SPH Youth as well as connect and support each other in discipling their teenagers.

· Ensure SPH youth is a safe space for all young people and team, following up on DBS checks and safeguarding training and policies.

Experience

· Good experience of working with young people, with a demonstration of how they have grown in their discipleship.

· A track record of recruiting and building committed volunteer teams.

· Excellent communication skills to mobilise and encourage youth, volunteers and parents.

· A passion to reach, connect with and disciple young people. Someone who has a strong desire to share the Gospel and see salvation amongst young people in West London. 

· Knowledge of and a passion for growing young leaders who will be inspired to lead across every sphere of society.

· A strong verbal communicator, preferably with experience in preaching and teaching in a church context.

· Able to work across communities and build relationships with a diversity of youth and their families. 

· Competent in organisation and administration to ensure activities and events can be planned and executed in an efficient way.

· An understanding of safeguarding and how to keep young people and vulnerable adults safe. 

General

· Play an active role in the pastoral and missional leadership of the church.

· Understand, demonstrate, and enable Saint Paul’s Hammersmith’s vision and values to be demonstrated in action.

· Operate as a team player demonstrating willingness to work within a ministry team.

· Comply with Saint Paul’s Policies, Procedures and guidelines and data protection requirements. Seek clarification as required.

Working Requirements

We are seeking a Mission Enabler, Regional Mission to work in partnership with key staff across the Movement. They will provide direction and energy to Scripture Union’s Regional Ministry with a focus on establishing and sustaining ministry opportunities. This will require the person to recruit, motivate, train, equip and support a large number of volunteers/Faith Guides, with whom they work in partnership as well as leading by example, through the modelling of excellent mission delivery to children and young people consistent with Scripture Union’s mission. This role will the cover Hampshire, Surrey and Sussex areas.

The successful candidate will:

· Identify, recruit and support Faith Guides, volunteers and Local Mission Partners (LMPs) through a range of methods, including electronic, phone and face to face.

· Provide relevant coaching and/or mentoring, equipping and resourcing for Faith Guides, volunteers and LMPs.

· Lead local mission activity within Scripture Union’s mission framework, establishing a clear hand-over process and timetable to local church partners.

· Pioneer new approaches/ideas in line with SU’s strategy that have the potential to be replicated elsewhere and lead to a greater scale and depth of mission activity.

· Support, by promotion or direct involvement,  SU’s wider programme of holidays and missions across England and Wales and, if appropriate, internationally.

· Undertake specific fundraising activities and approaches in line with SU’s fundraising approach.
