The important stuff 

Salary: £26,000, pro rata (£20,800)

Hours: Part-time, 4 days a week, 9.30am - 5.30pm (with some flexibility and occasional evening or weekend work for events such as Spear Celebrations)

Key Responsibilities

Oversight of Spear Programme

• Lead group sessions of around 10 young people each, using coaching skills to transform attitudes to their own ability and the workplace, and to raise their awareness and maximise potential in stepping into the world of work.​
• Prepare and coach group and 1-1 sessions with the Spear Coach.​
• Ensure the programme is delivered in line with agreed targets, and report KPIs on recruitment, retention and completion of Spear Trainees to Resurgo and the Spear Trust, as well as their ongoing progress and sustainment of work or education.

Partnership liaison and relationship management

• Establish the primary local referral agencies and build and implement a strategy for developing relationships with them to ensure recruitment of young people onto the Spear programme is effective. ​
• Maintain and develop relationships with local partners to form a strong referral network.​

Line Management and training

• Manage the Spear Coach, using a coaching approach to invest in their growth and development.
• Be line managed by Resurgo to support with the set-up and ongoing operations of the centre and report back on KPIs.

Church Community

• The Spear Centre Manager is directly employed by The Mount, meaning you are part of a vibrant church staff team and submerged in an exciting faith community.
• You will be required to establish strong relationships with key people at the church to ensure the engagement and backing of church members, and help to establish a strong presence at the church to build a network of supporters for the Spear programme.
• Ensure the Spear programme is a key missional feature of the work of the church; this may involve attending church events and speaking at services.

Site management and set-up

• Work with the Church to set up the training room and IT infrastructure for the new Spear Centre in advance of opening.​
• Liaise with relevant staff locally on-site issues and work to resolve them as soon as possible, ensuring the office and training room are safe and tidy working spaces in line with health and safety policies.​.
• Other ad hoc church responsibilities from time to time.

About the role

 As Community Hub Co-ordinator, you’ll lead the launch and development of this exciting new space. You’ll manage the day-to-day running of the Hub, support and line-manage a small team (including staff with lived experience of learning disability or autism), and co-design a wide variety of services, events, and partnerships with our members and community.

You’ll also work with other local organisations and charities to expand the support on offer—exploring exciting ideas like social enterprises, creative groups, advice drop-ins or a community café. This is a hands-on role. Some days you’ll be welcoming people and helping with a session, other days you’ll be planning future activities, liaising with partners, or exploring funding ideas. No two days will be the same.

About You

 You’re proactive, passionate, and organised. You love bringing people together, creating welcoming spaces, and making things happen.

You’ll have experience of managing community-facing services, working with diverse groups (ideally including people with learning disabilities or autistic people), and leading a team.

You’re happy rolling up your sleeves to get things done—and you’re confident developing new ideas, building partnerships, and planning activities.  Being a car driver is a plus (but not essential), and some evening or weekend working may be required. About the Housing Support Worker position:

We are looking for a Housing Support Worker to join in making a real difference in people's lives! Join our vibrant team in Wembley as a Housing Support Worker!

This is an exciting opportunity to support individuals with multiple, complex needs on their journey towards recovery, reablement, and independence, all within a compassionate, trauma-informed environment.

In this role, you'll be at the  heart of delivering high-quality, person-centered support to vulnerable adults who have been or are at risk of homelessness. They are identified as having low/medium support needs, some of the areas of support needs can include: 

• Single homeless between ages of 18 to 60

Finally, while prior knowledge of housing and homelessness isn’t a must have, you’ll need a passion for social justice. What the job involves

As part of the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll support the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Branding by directing the Business Partnering team, and developing and embedding our Business Partnering model.

You’ll partner with senior leaders and product owners to act as a supportive enabler of their communications objectives, and ensuring they’re actively engaged in the development of communications strategies, objectives and plans. A major part of the role will be enabling the integration of activity into the wider communications plan to enhance results from our communications.

You’ll guide the planning process for projects and campaigns to build awareness of risk, tackle health inequalities and improve outcomes for all men affected by and at risk of prostate cancer. As part of this role, you’ll also be managing a team of two.

Please note this role is known internally as Senior Communications Business Partner (HSEI & Research).

In this role you’ll be leading a new team of Business Partners and a Communications Planning Manager to ensure Prostate Cancer UK’s communications are well-planned, integrated (where appropriate), and effective. That means you’ll need a strong understanding of high-impact communications business partnering and planning, using an agile, flexible, and fast-paced approach.

You’ll also excel at building trust and connections with community groups, ideally with experience in reaching, engaging, and activating high-risk communities.

Prior experience and knowledge of devising and delivering big multi-channel campaigns – including PR, social media, communications and marketing would be an asset. You’ll be a strategic influencer who understands how positive, coordinated relationship management drives performance alongside an outstanding communicator – who’s confident and good at communicating complex technical information to general audiences.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Senior Support Worker and Deputy Team Manager to join our Support Team. The successful candidate will lead by example, ensuring the highest quality of service delivery in line with Baca's vision, mission, and values. This role involves supporting the team manager in day-to-day operations, decision-making, and problem-solving to achieve key outcomes for young people. These include improved physical and emotional wellbeing, increased engagement with education, employment, and training, social engagement, and personal safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the support team to deliver high-quality services to young people.

West Yorkshire Pathfinder Partnership (across Calderdale, Bradford, Leeds, Kirklees, Wakefield)

West Yorkshire Pathfinder Partnership (WYPP) is to be launched as a 12-month pilot, following successful programmes in other UK areas. Staying Put are proud to lead this partnership of 5 exceptional providers of domestic abuse services; Leeds Domestic Violence Service represented by Leeds Women’s Aid and Behind Closed Doors, WomenCentre, Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership and Wakefield Domestic Abuse Service.

We are now looking to set up our team of dedicated and passionate Family Court IDVAs. There are vacancies at all partners for this post, the salary will be the same across the partnership, however the terms and conditions may vary.

The locations for this role will be Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds or Wakefield. You will be employed by one of the above organisations and be based in one location, however there is the need for flexibility and expectation of travel across all areas, at times.

About the role

This role will play a crucial part in supporting individuals, families and children through the family court process as part of the Pathfinder programme. Working as part of a strong multi-agency team across the courts of West Yorkshire, you will ensure the voice of the survivor informs every stage of the process. Using a client-led and trauma-informed approach, this role provides high-quality advocacy support to survivors of domestic abuse.

• Various hours available – 22.5 hours over 3 days, 30 hours over 4 days or full-time at 37.5 hours over 5 days, Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm
• £27,898 – £28,898 FTE per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
• 12 month fixed-term contract initially. There is the possibility of extension, depending on successful outcomes of the pilot.

Role Overview

The VAWG Service Manager is primarily responsible for leading the strategic development and delivery of The Angelou Centre’s (AC) holistic, trauma informed and culturally competent VAWG services for Black and minoritised women and children by:

• Leading, managing, developing, fundraising, monitoring and delivering the operational running of high-quality VAWG frontline services for Black and racially minoritised women and children across the Northumbria Combined Authority (NECA)
• Developing, reviewing and supporting the delivery of the Centre’s VAWG training to partners and agencies
• Ensuring that all service safeguarding measures are in place and that AC’s strong track record of institutional advocacy and prioritisation of women and children rights remains central to services
• Initiating, developing and maintaining effective relationships and formal partnerships with organisations within the VAWG sector locally regionally and nationally
• Overseeing representation at multi-agency partnerships and implementing and supporting the development of the strategic direction of VAWG services and VAWG Training offer
• Working closely with the Refuge team to ensure both residents and non-residents have access to golden standards VAWG services and are supported in a way that is consistent across the VAWG service.
• Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of the service, effective case management as well as managing a caseload of more complex cases

OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

As the Practitioner Psychologist/Psychotherapist delivering the partnership with the British Red Cross you will be based in two BRC Refugee Support services in Leicester and Derby whilst remaining part of the Helen Bamber Foundation Team. You will be responsible, with support from the senior Helen Bamber Foundation clinical team, for delivering assessments of individuals referred by the BRC Senior Psychosocial Practitioner. You will support effective referrals into local mental health services, and, where treatment cannot be provided elsewhere and would have significant benefits, deliver a range of therapeutic interventions to a small number of BRC clients. You will provide and support outreach and training of local health care providers to increase their capacity to support trauma survivors.

This role will include delivery of highly specialised psychological assessments for both medico-legal and clinical purposes, provision of appropriate evidence-based therapies, delivery of training to local mental health providers as well as to staff from non-clinical backgrounds who have significant client contact, internal relationship and partnership building, monitoring of outcomes, and potentially the supervision of a trainee clinical psychologist on a final year specialist placement. The role will include input into partnership development, policy, research and fundraising.

We are looking for someone who is committed to working therapeutically with individuals who have experienced human rights abuses and who have developed trauma spectrum disorders as a result. In addition to proven experience in working therapeutically with this client group, the candidate will have a passion for human rights work beyond the individual client work, and a desire to contribute to effecting change at a policy level. This role requires the ability to react and respond creatively and appropriately to the needs of the service and the partnership. You will be required to travel to London occasionally to participate in meetings, professional development and other activities (this travel will be reimbursed).

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide specialist psychological assessments and deliver psychological therapies to clients of the BRC Refugee Support services in Leicester and Derby (and where approved other services in the East Midlands);

· Contribute to the monitoring of activity and outcomes from the partnership;

· Work closely with the BRC Senior Psychosocial Practitioner to develop training and outreach for the local mental health providers and where appropriate the BRC Refugee Support service teams;

· Train in the preparation of medico-legal reports and contribute to the preparation of these reports for clients of the East Midlands BRC Refugee Support services;

· Develop and carry out audits and research projects relevant to the Helen Bamber Foundation or the partnership (in collaboration with the BRC Senior Psychological Practitioner and the Director of Therapy and Executive Director of Clinical and Counter-Trafficking);

· Provide internal and external training in collaboration with the HBF clinical management team;

· Supervise junior staff; and

· Liaise with other non-statutory and statutory organisations on matters of clinical care and policy.

· Where applicable, contribute to policy and position statements with other members of the Helen Bamber Foundation and the British Red Cross and represent the partnership at conferences and other events.
