About the Role
We are now recruiting for a Fundraising and Grant Management Specialist to support the Senior Leadership Team in developing and implementing Hibiscus’ Fundraising & Partnerships Strategy.
The successful candidate will be motivated and passionate about the rights of migrant women affected by the criminal justice and immigration systems, and will workThis post holder will identify and plan funding approaches in support of the organisation’s aims and objectives. They will manage current funding relationships whilst developing strong relationships with new funders who can support the charity’s work long-term. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a rolling programme of applications, planning compelling and targeted proposals in support of Hibiscus’ work and develop a fundraising database to track applications. This will involve exploring opportunities for Hibiscus to diversify its funding, working with SLT and the board to identify and cultivate strategically appropriate contacts. The post holder will also be responsible for ensuring stakeholder engagement by producing reports and updates for doners and trusts, facilitating the trauma-informed participation of Hibiscus’ service users in fundraising and establishing good working relationships with colleagues. They will play an active role in communicating relevant information to colleagues, and will work with colleagues to develop impactful, meaningful and data driven proposals.
The successful candidate be responsible for maintaining Hibiscus’ fundraising and development libraries, resources, and directories, including accurate records to monitor feedback. They will support the management of a case studies library, and work as part of the wider team, encouraging dialogue, promoting understanding and championing the work of Hibiscus.

About You

Anvil Arts creates a year-round programme encompassing the best in music, performance, cultural education, arts participation, and outreach work. They are now seeking to appoint a Deputy Chief Executive, a new post in the Executive Leadership Team structure, reporting to the Chief Executive. The Communications and Information Officer is responsible for our external communications, our social media channels, and maintaining and managing our website. Working mainly with colleagues from the Sector Support and Grants team initially, to raise awareness about the impact of our work as well as the work of the legal advice charities we support. Job description
1. Organisational leadership and people management

Work with the ED and SMT to ensure a values-led and positive organisational culture is reflected throughout ways of working, internal communication, policies and processes, and all team activities.

Line-manage Senior Management Team (SMT) members, operational roles and other roles as necessary (currently Head of Development, Head of Communications and Engagement, Head of Policy, Advocacy and Research, and Operations Manager).

Chair weekly SMT meetings.

Oversee human resources and people management processes, ensuring alignment with best practice in areas including recruitment, induction, performance management, safety, wellbeing, learning and development, and benefits.

What kind of research does the NSPCC Research and Evidence team do?
The NSPCC Research and Evidence team carries out, commissions and partners on high quality social research. We seek to answer big and small questions around preventing and stopping child abuse, and how to support children who have experienced it.
- Our research is child-centred, meaningful and useful - it drives improvements to our work with children, families and communities, influences the development of policy and guidance, and contributes to new NSPCC campaigns, as well as adding to the wider evidence base.
- We also support research activity at NSPCC via our Research Advice Clinic, Evidence Summary Service, and the NSPCC Research Ethics Committee.
What will the job involve?
This is an exciting and varied role for a researcher with excellent project management skills. You'll be working with colleagues in departments across the NSPCC including Childline, Policy and Public Affairs, Knowledge and Information, Schools services and Participation. Current projects we're working on include research on technology assisted online sexual extortion, sex and relationships education at secondary and primary levels, problematic sexual behaviour and provision of services to tackle loneliness, to name just a few.
Specifically, the role will involve:
- Designing and project managing research on a wide range of NSPCC research projects.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to develop research projects and advising other teams in the NSPCC about how to carry out robust and ethical research.
- Communicating research findings to a range of different audiences including colleagues, practitioners, decision makers, policy makers, academics and the children and families who access our services.
- Managing junior members of the team directly and via our matrix management structure.
What experience are we looking for?
You will have demonstrable experience of undertaking and managing complex research and evaluation projects in different settings and contexts. You will have a passion for the NSPCC's mission, and for child-centred, participatory research, as well as a strong understanding of:
- Qualitative and quantitative research methods, including participatory fieldwork methods
- What makes research, particularly research with children, safe and ethical.

JOB PURPOSE
UK for UNHCR is looking for a Digital Communications Officer to join its team, raising vital support for displaced people around the world through creative campaigns such as the Refugee Dictionary, Cuppa Hope as well as fundraising appeals and partnerships.
Reporting to the Digital Communications Manager, the Digital Communications Officer will have particular focus delivering day to day social media communications, including community management, publishing, content management and development. This role will also support wider digital communications activities, such as with the Senior Digital Communications Officer who manages the website.
This involves identifying opportunities to amplify appeals, campaigns and partnerships through social media to support UK for UNHCR’s fundraising and public advocacy objectives. Raising awareness of global refugee crises and UNHCR’s humanitarian operations forms a central part of this storytelling, as well as thematic campaigns and PR moments throughout the year.
One of your first focuses will be helping grow and verify UK for UNHCR’s TikTok account and LinkedIn presence, in addition to transitioning the charity’s channels to a new social media management tool. You will also work closely with the wider Communications team in supporting online and offline fundraising appeals.
The Digital Communications Officer will also work with the wider Communications team to identify and support storytellers (including refugees and supporters) to share their stories through the charity’s social media channels.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning, coordination and growth
- Deliver and schedule social media content on a daily and weekly basis, with flexibility to respond to news events and emergencies at short notice.
- Produce or commission multimedia content, including videos, graphics and photography to support charity activity on social media.

The overall aim of the service is to improve quality of life, access to appropriate support services and improved health and wellbeing outcomes by acting as an advocate and to negotiate with other agencies, where necessary, on our client’s behalf.
