About the role
We are looking for 1 Youth Practitioner for our London Project. Please note we are keen to receive pplications from cadidates living in Lewisham, Greenwich and Croydon.
As a Youth Practitioner, you’ll play a key role in keeping children safe from harm and supporting them and their families on a path to a brighter future. You’ll be part of a dynamic team delivering Railway Children’s programme in the UK, in partnership with British Transport Police (BTP).
Working with other Youth Practitioners in your project area, you will be responsible for supporting a number of young people who have been identified as being vulnerable on the transport system. The role will involve working directly with young people and their families to reduce risks, as well as building strong relationships other social care, Police, third sector agencies and local services in the area.

The role
Main areas of responsibility
The Commercial Officer will support the development, identification, and management of relationships with key Fresh Produce industry partners, securing sustainable sources of surplus food for the FareShare network. You will support the Commercial Manager’s and other internal teams to execute joint business plans, deliver strategic projects, and support our partners to overcome barriers to redistributing surplus food.
This role will involve working with partners to ensure consistent delivery of agreed initiatives and develop solutions that add value for both FareShare and its partners. You will also play a key role in ensuring regular communication and reporting to drive progress and maintain strong relationships.
You will work closely with FareShare colleagues within FareShare and across the UK in our partner organisations in order to provide the best service to our food partners, our network, and the charities we deliver to.
Partnership Support
- With support from Commercial Manager’s, undertake research to identify potential new partners in the Fresh Produce Industry and manage relationships with new and current partners.
- Assist in developing and maintaining Joint Business Plans with Fresh Produce industry partners to drive growth in surplus food redistribution, funding, and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain regular communication with food partners, including on-site visits, to ensure alignment and progress against agreed objectives.
- Research and understand our partners, including key ESG initiatives, waste streams, key personnel within the organisation that will help drive its success and engage the relevant internal departments through both desked based research and face to face contact.
- Create and deliver engaging presentations for the acquisition and retention of food partners, effectively presenting the benefits of working with FareShare.
- Use our food data and other stats to identify trends to food partner supply and to effectively manage food partners, identifying appropriate milestones and opportunities to prompt lapsed or infrequent partners.
- Collaborate with Operations, Marketing, Fundraising, and Volunteering teams to optimise supplier onboarding, food distribution, and partner communications.
- Support with the administration of the Surplus with Purpose Fund.
Project Support
- Support on projects with our partners, liaising with cross-functional teams such as, Supply Chain, Operations, and Network Development to deliver objectives.
- Support the delivery of internal cross-functional projects designed to increase food volumes and strategic value for FareShare.
Person Specification
Essential Criteria
- Experience of working in or alongside the food industry in account management or customer facing role
- Strong relationship skills, building and maintaining relationships across a range of levels and with both internal and external stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; experience in presenting confidently to a range of stakeholders at varying levels
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Offices packages and a good level of numeracy and literacy.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience of managing accounts in the FMCG, food, retail or other fast moving customer service orientated sector
- Track record of using selling and negotiation skills with professionalism and integrity to achieve desired outcomes & targets.

About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
The Role
CoppaFeel! are looking for a Marketing Executive who will play an integral role within the Marketing team in supporting our 3-year organisational growth strategy. The Marketing Executive will support the amplification of our message through innovative brand campaigns, activating content creator briefs and executing brand partnerships.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and impact of CoppaFeel!'s work, ensuring that our awareness message reaches and resonates with our 18 - 24 year old target audience.
The Marketing Executive will sit within the CoppaFeel! Marketing Team and report to the Marketing Manager, working closely with the social media and digital marketing sub-teams. Beyond supporting with content strategies and execution across organic and paid channels, this role will also support the Marketing Manager as a brand guardian, overseeing the design process and ensure that brand guidelines are adhered to across all outputs throughout the organisation.
This role is essential in helping us achieve our mission of empowering young people to check their chests monthly. By ensuring our brand marketing efforts are engaging, impactful, and aligned with our core messaging, the Marketing Executive will directly contribute to the success of CoppaFeel!’s mission. We’re looking for someone who can combine strategic thinking with creativity, has a proactive approach to their work and strong attention to detail.
This is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office two days per week. You will also be required to attend the office for quarterly team meetings, department meetings, and in-person training. We will provide plenty of notice for when you are required to be in for these purposes. While this is a hybrid role, you are also welcome to work from our office space more regularly if you prefer.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of brand marketing campaigns, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and aligned with CoppaFeel!’s tone and mission.
- Manage relationships with content creators through identification, briefing, delivery and reporting. Ensuring alignment with brand tone of voice and messaging.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives across various platforms, including digital, social media, and events.
- Support in managing relationships with external creative agencies, paid media agencies, corporate partners and storytellers.
- Collaborate with the wider Education, Fundraising and Operations teams to ensure brand consistency across all touch points.

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our prison-based reading and numeracy programme, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn to read.
Ideally you will have some experience of prison settings underpinned by the ability to build relationships and personal qualities that include resilience, determination and a problem-solving approach.
The role will be prison-based. Main Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership and Management
– To share responsibility for leading the strategic direction and success of YMCA East Surrey as part of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) together with the Head of Finance, Head of Housing, Head of Children and Young People Services and Deputy CEO.

Governance and Compliance
– Fulfilling the role of Company Secretary and leading the delivery of all governance processes in line with policy, procedures and the memorandum and articles, including all charity and corporate law requirements.
– To take the lead role on compliance, maintaining and developing a policy framework and working with Heads of Service to ensure that appropriate policies are drafted, reviewed and implemented and that the YMCA meets all its obligations under the relevant statutory and regulatory frameworks in which we work (Ofsted, RSH and possibly CQC in the future).
– To provide or facilitate training and development activity to ensure that managers and staff are aware of, and are meeting, requirements laid down by relevant policies, legislation and regulatory bodies.

IT

– To work with other Heads of Service to develop and maintain new integrated IT systems that can manage data, and record, monitor and evaluate outputs and outcomes delivered by the YMCA’s diverse projects and services.
– To work with the Systems Analyst and outsourced IT Support Company deliver ongoing digital transformation and promote the necessary training and policies to ensure that staff fully utilise the new technology.
– To work with the Fundraising Manager and CEO to support the delivery of new projects especially the acquisition and development of new properties such as additional Move On accommodation for young people.
HR
– In conjunction with the HR Manager ensure the overall HR strategy of YMCA East Surrey is in line with the law, good practice and our values.
– With the HR Manager, oversee the development of internal practices, policies and working culture in line with the overall HR strategy.
Facilities
– To line manage the Facilities Manager and to oversee the introduction and implementation of cyclical maintenance plans for all YMCA buildings.
– To have oversight of the Facilities Manager’s responsibility of all insurances required by the YMCAES.
– Oversight of the management and financial viability of The Old Pheasantry.
Budget and Finance
– To work with the CEO and Head of Finance to prepare the annual budget for central services (including buildings) and to manage this budget throughout the year.

– Any other duties are required to be performed within the grade and renumeration of the role.

About the Role
JPF aims to amplify the voices of young people across London and Essex, and we are committed to harnessing their ideas, knowledge and life experiences to influence the way we work as a grant-maker.
As a charitable organisation, founded to support young people, it is essential that young people are part of our work and decision-making; from Board level through to our programme delivery. We aim to provide young people with the resources and opportunities to empower them to do great things, and this role is central to enabling us to do this.
The Youth Voice and Engagement Intern role is a new post that will help us grow our youth voice and youth engagement work within the Foundation in line with our new strategic priorities. This role sits in the Executive Team, and will work closely with the Executive Assistant, as well as colleagues within our Communications and Operations teams. There will be regular opportunities to work collaboratively on projects with other departments and stakeholders.
This is a twelve-month paid internship to begin during March 2025. The successful candidate must be able to take up the post by Monday 25th March 2025, preferably earlier.
About the Internship
You will be part of the Jack Petchey Internship Programme along with 20 other interns, all of whom are employed by a range of youth organisations in London and Essex. Alongside your main work duties there will be a number of development opportunities. These include a residential conference to launch the internship programme; four professional development workshops throughout the year; and a celebration event at the end of the programme.
In addition to your paid salary, you will receive a training bursary of £1,000. This bursary can be used for approved training. We will also match you with an external mentor who will support you with your professional development throughout the year.
Training days and events take place in person in London. As well as carrying out the main duties of the job (as outlined in this booklet) the successful candidate will be required to take part in all training opportunities offered as part of this programme.

About Your Responsibilities
The Youth Voice and Engagement Intern will be responsible for supporting our three major youth engagement programmes, as well as a number of other youth voice initiatives across the Foundation.
1 Youth Consultation Panel
The Youth Consultation Panel (YCP) was formed in 2019, and currently consists of twelve young people, all of whom have directly benefited from one or more of our programmes. This group of passionate young people meet once a month to share their opinions and inform the work of our Senior Management Team and Board of Trustees. The postholder will:
• Be responsible for the general administration of the YCP, through preparing agendas and minutes for monthly meetings and quarterly in-person days, fielding general enquiries from YCP members, processing travel expenses, coordinating event attendance and tracking the group’s volunteering hours.

2 Jack Petchey Achiever Network
The Achiever Network (AN) is a 12-month personal development programme that we run for up to 35 young people each year. Participants are invited to apply for a year-long training course, which includes a weekend residential, training days and mentoring. The postholder will:
• Assist the Operations Officer with the general administration of the AN programme, including preparation for training days and attendance at these if required.
• Coordinate AN volunteers for both internal and external events, including circulating parental permission forms and briefing sheets etc.
• Oversee the administration of 50/50 grants (an opportunity for AN graduates to invest in a meaningful cause), by supporting young people with their applications, collating details for Board approval and preparing the corresponding grant offer letters.
• Assist with end-of-programme preparations such as the AN graduation ceremony and yearbook.
• Help to design and implement the recruitment process for young participants on the next Achiever Network cohort.
• Support with the evaluation of the Achiever Network programme.
3 Alumni Network
The Alumni Network is a community for those who’ve graduated from our Achiever Network or Internship Programme. It is a way for graduates to remain connected to the Foundation, and for them to give back to other young people as they take their next steps. Launched in September 2024, the network is in its early stages of development. The postholder will:
• Be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the JPF Alumni Network, including: coordinating 2 annual networking events, training opportunities and peer-to-peer mentoring for the cohorts, draft and send letters about opportunities.
• Support the growth of the JPF Alumni Network by identifying and recruiting new members.
• Moderate the JPF Alumni Network online portal, by ensuring that the webpages and resources are up to date and creating new content as required.

First Give inspires young people to make a difference to the causes they care about. This is a full-time role, offering 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with the flexibility to work from home three days a week and two days from the office.

We are looking for significant experience in delivering administrative support, with a proven ability to manage multiple systems across different platforms. As a strong administrator with a keen eye for detail, you will take initiative and work independently to ensure smooth operations and maintain the highest standards of service.
