As the Programme Finance Manager your day to day duties will include:
- Business partnering with Programme Managers to review income and expenditure
- Produce forecasts and reforecasts to Programme Managers

JOB PURPOSE
The Strategic and Commercial Partnerships Senior Manager is an exciting new role within Start Network. It will hold responsibility for creating a new function, co-creating a new strategy and growing a small team to drive (non-financial) strategic partnerships for the organisation. It will also explore the possibility of establishing a commercial partnerships function with the Business Development Director.
This role will lead one of our most exciting new areas of work. They will help Start Network manage current strategic partners (such as ARC who we partner with for insurance in Africa), but also establish connections with new potential partners globally (particularly in the areas of system change, digital, humanitarian insurance, AI, etc). These new partners will maximise the impact of our work, enhance our ability to influence system change or simply engage in the exchange of knowledge around our innovation ambition. The candidate will first build a clear understanding of all our strategic partnerships across the organisation; find ways with Heads/Managers of teams to maximise them (focusing on strategic impact and effective collaboration); and finally implement a plan to scope further partners globally in line with Start Network’s strategy and gaps.

This role will then continue to look for new, high impact relationships globally that can support the internal operations of the organisation and our members and hubs and advance our strategic aims. You will be a Mental Health Deputy Manager who is passionate about supporting MAC-UK’s objective of working collaboratively with young people, innovating services and systems and their approach to mental health, to address health and social inequalities. We aim to support services to be more accessible, flexible and responsive to excluded groups, and to change the systems that lead to and maintain inequality. We are very excited to be part of a pilot service, new in England working as part of a consortium of four organisations, alongside Lambeth Council. This will be a residential support service for young people aged 16-24 years at risk of serious youth violence, who are already caught up in the criminal justice system and at high risk of remaining part of the system. You will be working across three London properties alongside a large multi-agency staff team made up of experts by experience/profession in psychology and therapy; youth work; offending; education, training, and employment (ETE) and housing. The service will work creatively and holistically to enable young people to exit environments involving youth violence, identify and reach their goals and aspirations, move on successfully to appropriate independent living, and importantly to sustain this life. Wherever possible staff and young people will co-produce what this service looks like and what activities the young people engage in.

We are excited to be advertising the role of Psychotherapy Service Manager at Respond, to lead our team and the development of our psychotherapy services with autistic people and people with learning disabilities who have experienced trauma and their families. Many of our clients may have experienced complex or multiple traumatic experiences including sexual violence, domestic abuse and neglect.
The Psychotherapy Service provides predominantly longer-term therapeutic support of a year or more, depending on how the work is funded, to an average of 130 unique individuals per year. The current team of 10 are made up of 4 senior therapists (reporting to the postholder), 4 therapists and 2 honoraries in training, the majority of whom are Arts therapists and work within a psychodynamic and/or systemic model.
We welcome applications from experienced Psychodynamic Counsellor/Psychotherapists, Arts therapists, Psychologists or Family Therapists who are passionate about our work. You will work psychodynamically, champion our trauma informed approach including our reflective practice model and have the opportunity to influence and shape the development of the psychotherapy service. Leading the small team, you will provide clinical leadership and be Safeguarding lead, ensuring we continue to provide high quality psychotherapy services. We are offering the role at 4-5 days per week, working in a hybrid manner flexibly. You can also hold your own small case load of clients, supervisees and/or consultancy work within the role.
This is a unique and specialist role and we recognise that you may have more experience in one clinical area or client group than another, given the breadth of our work and whilst you may be experienced in working psychodynamically as a therapist and as a line manager, you may be newer to leading a service for example. Or you may have a great deal of other experience and understanding of the needs of our clients from other work. We are flexible to develop the right candidate who is passionate about improving the lives of autistic people, people with learning disabilities and their family members.

Job Description
Birmingham Programme Development
- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, lead the translation of People’s Economy’s strategy into a programme of work in Birmingham
- Working closely with the Programme Director and the Programme Team, identify the resources People’s Economy needs to deliver its strategy in Birmingham and contribute to fundraising for the organisation’s programme of work in Birmingham
- Working closely with Programme Director lead outreach and relationship building with community and civil society partners, including members of the Economic Justice Brum
- Working closely with the Head of Community, lead the development of People’s Economy’s programme of outreach and relationship building with changemakers in Birmingham including current grassroots campaigns such as Save Birmingham, Save Birmingham Youth Service (SBYS), Ladywood Unite, Save Druids Heath and the Birmingham Fair Housing Campaign.
Birmingham Programme Delivery
- Working closely with the Programme Team, coordinate the delivery of People’s Economy’s programme of work in Birmingham and ensure it is well embedded, integrated and supportive in the local economic justice landscape
- Play a leading role in our collaborative work with Economic Justice Brum ensuring consistent coordination, support and relational working
- Lead our work on developing and delivering a creative communications plan for Economic Justice Brum, as People’s Economy is its appointed communications partner
- Lead on organising the logistics and resources required to effectively deliver People’s Economy’s programme of work in Birmingham
- Working closely with the Programme Team, coordinate the monitoring, evaluation and learning of People’s Economy’s programme of work in Birmingham
- Working closely with the Programme Team, recruit and onboard changemakers from Birmingham to opportunities within People’s Economy’s training and support programmes
- With support from the Head of Training, contribute to the delivery of learning and skills sessions when appropriate
- Facilitate spaces and workshops for our changemakers, partners and other stakeholders
- Maintain relationships with changemakers from Birmingham while they are involved in People’s Economy’s programmes and act as a key point of contact
Supporting other work strands
- Feed into the development and implementation of other work strands including community building and the organisational communications strategy
Managing projects and people
- Work with the Head of People and Operations to recruit freelancers to help deliver People’s Economy’s programme work in Birmingham

Main duties and responsibilities:
- To prepare, cook and serve nutritional balanced food with the young people and staff
- To control portions and food cost management.
- Organise and supervise the food service.
- Allocate duties and responsibilities to the rest of the team and provide general supervision/oversight with the young people helping in the kitchen.
- Ordering weekly food stock on line; establishing and maintaining an appropriate stock control methodology.

Your new role
The Purchasing & Business Support Assistant will be responsible for managing purchase orders, maintaining accurate records, coordinating with suppliers, and assisting with the smooth functioning of purchasing operations.
