The facilities Officer will be responsible for the building, reactive building works, renovation, and repair of the building. Working as a senior member of the maintenance team under the supervision of the Facilities Manager.
 
Additionally, this person will ensure that day-to-day repairs and planned maintenance of Your Place properties are efficiently and effectively carried out. The post-holder will monitor the performance of internal operatives and contractors handling communications and ensuring the work is carried out in line with completion targets and quality standards. Furthermore, the Senior Maintenance Officer will carry out minor repairs to the buildings, plumbing and electrical systems.
 
The ideal candidate will possess experience in facilities, and ideally experience working as part of a team and interacting with a variety of people. A basic understanding of health and safety and risk assessment is necessary. The role requires flexibility, including the ability to work evenings and weekends on a rota. Additionally, holding a clean driving license is essential.

The role

We are looking for an exceptional Trusts and Grants Manager to play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing success and expansion of our partnerships with trusts, foundations and statutory givers. Working closely with the Senior Trusts and Grants Manager and four more team members, this new role will lead on nurturing high-value relationships with prospective trusts who have capacity to give large funding to FareShare.

As the cost of living crisis pushes millions into food insecurity, and the world is faced with a climate emergency, the difference you can make by joining the Trusts and Grants Team is substantial. Our dual social and environmental purpose has never resonated more with partners and we have just launched an ambitious strategy to double the number of meals we can provide, amplifying our impact and presenting a compelling case for support.

The Trusts and Grants and Manager will take on the management and stewardship of a diverse portfolio of high-value funding relationships, while developing new partnerships with a range of givers. The role will also be responsible for managing and developing a Trusts and Foundations Officer to support team objectives.

You will be a strategic thinker, used to working with high value grant making professionals and trustees and with senior staff and stakeholders within your own organisation. You will have a strong track record in income generation and supporter stewardship and have excellent communication skills. Cross team collaboration is crucial to the role, and you will be able to demonstrate strong relationship building and influencing skills.

Main areas of responsibility

• Build relationships with portfolio of five and six figure trust supporters, understanding their motivations and tailoring opportunities and communications to cultivate strong, long-lasting partnerships.
• Foster a deep understanding of FareShare’s work and strategy to create persuasive fundraising proposals that inspire and solicit funds. This includes developing relationships across the organisation to build a sound understanding of FareShare operations and where support is most needed
• Champion and input in to the teams prospecting process, using your own research and sector knowledge to take new opportunities from identification through to solicitation, particularly focussing on those with multi-year and high value potential.
• Develop innovative and personalised stewardship plans, in collaboration with senior colleagues when appropriate, to deepen funder relationships. Craft compelling written communications including emails, proposals, and reports to showcase the impact of trust support and celebrate key milestones. Lead calls, meetings and visits to strengthen funder partnerships and engagement with our work.
• Provide supportive management to a Trust and Grants Officer, offering regular advice and guidance, identifying opportunities for development and monitoring performance objectives in line with the organisational and team strategy.
• Play an active role in developing and delivering the Trusts and Grants team strategy contributing to planning and management of team objectives, and supporting the Senior Manager to motivate the team and drive trust income.  
• Work with colleagues across the Fundraising sub-teams to maximise cross over opportunities between income areas.
• Maintain accurate records of partner interactions in our CRM system and shared files, and consistently update financial records and account plans.

Experience

• Experience of securing and successfully managing five and six figure grants and multi-year gifts from a range of grant makers, including project funding and unrestricted funding.
• Experience in prospecting for new high value business opportunities via multiple research channels and soliciting new donors to make significant gifts.
• Experience in writing compelling funding applications and impact reporting.
• Experience in developing and presenting complex project and financial information to support compelling funding proposals.

Our client, a leading London university, is looking to appoint a temporary PhD Programme Manager to cover sick leave. This role holder will be responsible for the day to day operation and delivery of the PhD Programme.  The purpose of this role is to manage the student life cycle from admission to graduation, through student management and progress monitoring, pastoral care, and ensuring the quality of the student experience.

As Lottery Manager, experience in the third sector is desirable however not essential. Proven experience of working to and achieving financial targets as well as the ability to prioritise workload and meet weekly deadlines. Experience of working with Volunteers is also desirable.

About the role

The Programme Coordinator will primarily be responsible for supporting Money Heroes, our largest primary programme designed to develop the financial capability of children across England and Wales. The role also works more broadly across the whole of the Programmes and Services team to ensure joined-up cohesive support is offered internally and externally to staff, teachers and other educators.

This role will also provide ongoing support to ensure we are effectively communicating the aims and objectives of our programmes to external stakeholders through newsletters, social media and email campaigns.

Requirements

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced responsive repairs professional who understands the multiple disciplines required to deliver this fast-paced area of the business, to join our small, but supportive, Housing & Neighbourhoods Team working on all aspects of repairs and maintenance. It is an interesting and varied role for an engaging, solution-focused person, with a passion for providing these types of services across ISHA portfolio and help keep our residents homes well maintained, and someone who wants to add value within an organisation.

You will bring your knowledge and experience by providing advice and support to various stake holders, staff and residents by keeping ISHA service and maintenance records up to date and be able to demonstrate a robust repairs and maintenance service is being maintained. You should be a resilient, professionally curious person, who is enthusiastic about a career in the Social Housing.

You will work closely with the Head of Assets and Repairs in a generalist capacity, to support with continuous improvement across all service areas, while helping to support and achieve our organisational objectives.

Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:

• Coaching and advising Building Surveyors, Disrepair Coordinator and currently four repairs’ advisors.
• Ensuring that robust monitoring, reporting, and forecasting systems are in place.
• Contributing to the budget plan and compiling budget/KPI reports monthly, managing budgets for responsive repairs ensuring effective use of funds.
• You will be responsible for the delivery of our repairs and maintenance service to our residents’ homes ensuring customer satisfaction is achieved and KPIs are being met by our supply chain.
• To contract manage the repairs and maintenance contractors and all other contracts associated with the delivery of these services delivering excellent customer service and value for money.
• Ensuring that robust monitoring, reporting, and forecasting systems are in place and data is kept updated.
• Establish communication links for communal repairs keeping residents informed of outages and reinstatement of service ie lifts.

We are seeking a proactive and committed individual with strong interpersonal skills who can provide an efficient and customer-focused repairs and maintenance service to residents.

This is busy and varied role, so we’re looking for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, who can adapt to a fast-paced working environment while ensuring consistency, alongside considering and minimising risks, who will play an integral role in delivering our repair & maintenance services.

Working closely with our key internal and external stakeholders, you will continue to lead the way in the development of our repairs and maintenance services and you would have worked ideally in Housing before.

You need to be flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic, and have excellent communication and influencing skills. A great sense of humour will serve you in good stead working in our busy, fast paced office.

We are seeking an experienced finance professional to provide high quality management and control of the finance function at our multi-site Christian outdoor adventure charity. Reporting to the Finance Director, the post holder will work closely with members of the senior management team to facilitate the smooth operation of Rock UK’s finances. He or she will be able to clearly and respectively communicate our Christian ethos, objectives, mission and vision to staff, suppliers and other stakeholders of all faiths and none.

The successful applicant will be educated to degree level or equivalent, hold a professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), have proficiency in using computerised financial systems, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.

This role is subject to an Occupational Requirement (OR) that the successful applicant is a Christian who is committed to the values, beliefs and behaviours set out in our ethos statement.

Hours: 25 hours per week (ideally 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday)

Salary: £36,030 pro rata per annum plus pension (8% employer contributions)

Contract Term: Permanent, subject to satisfactory references, a DBS check and a 6 month probationary period
