I am delighted to be working with an amazing human rights organisation in search of an Executive Assistant to the CEO. This is a part-time (4-days a week), hybrid/London based (1 day a week from home), temporary role for 6 – 8 weeks. Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. In 2024 we embarked on our new 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.
About the role
The Head of Quality and Member Service is a key role which will suit someone who enjoys the balancing of operational focus alongside working with external partners to develop and grow our services. You will oversee all aspects of quality and service delivery across our Skylight Services in Brent. This includes Engagement & Assessment, Coach Lead working, Learning, Volunteering and Member Involvement.
The role will lead operationally to ensure the services we provide have the greatest impact, are of the highest quality and is in compliance with internal case management standards and safeguarding practices. You will support and lead the local operational management team, providing guidance and oversight of all daily operations. Working alongside internal and external colleagues, the post-holder will get involved in our collaborative place-based working towards ending homelessness in Brent, including the Built for Zero work.

As our Finance Manager you will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial accounting, effective treasury management, and streamlined processes that empower our teams. Key Responsibilities
• Lead audit processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining robust financial controls.

Role Summary
The Head of Sector Programmes plays a significant role in the strategy, design and delivery of our programme of support for students exploring their career options. This includes managing a team of Programme Managers who lead their own teams of Programme Coordinators to deliver key upReach programmes, planning high quality events, managing relationships with external stakeholders, and evaluating impact.
They will report to the Director of Programmes, and will be a member of the Programmes Senior Leadership Team, taking responsibility for the development and implementation of an effective programme design and strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Head of Sector Programmes: This person will contribute to upReach's mission by working to ensure the smooth running of upReach’s core programmes, focused on our sector-specific support. They will work closely with the Director of Programmes to provide oversight and strategic input for upReach’s student-facing programmes, setting the direction of travel and monitoring progress.

PROGRAMME MANAGEMENT AND DESIGN
Make strategic decisions regarding the design and delivery of our sector programmes of support for students, creating a 12 month plan in advance of the start of each recruitment cycle.
Oversee multiple sector programmes, working closely with Programme Managers to monitor efficacy and ensure that high-quality, targeted interventions are delivered.
Guide the Programmes Team to design learning journeys (including events & opportunities) for Associates, in addition to the development of the resources, planning and delivery of events and opportunities relevant to the unique needs of the participants on our sector programmes.
Manage and track team progress to ensure that all organisational OKRs regarding programmatic impact are achieved and reported on to the Board of Trustees.
Be part of the Programmes Senior Leadership Team, setting Programme strategy and agreeing focus areas of the Programmes team to ensure that upReach maintains/improves its impact.
Take on a Deputy Responsibility for a key strategic area of organisational need within the Programmes team.
Work with the Partnerships Team to make strategic decisions about new opportunities to grow upReach's existing and new partnerships.
TEAM MANAGEMENT
Manage a team of Programme Managers in a variety of locations, providing weekly 1-to-1 check-ins, reviews and personal development support. This includes coaching and enabling them to guide Programme Coordinators in their teams to manage day-to-day partnership responsibilities and relationship management.
Act as a role model within the Programmes Team, engaging in all programme interventions and activities to ensure successful, high quality programme delivery is embedded throughout the team.
Support with oversight of professional development within the Programmes Team, including objective setting, performance reviewing and appraisals.
Act as a Sponsor on key strategic Programmes projects, providing oversight and guidance to junior team members.

At Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, we’re going big on charity retail. The Finance Manager plays a leadership role within GISF, overseeing all aspects of the organization's financial management and ensuring its long-term financial sustainability. This position not only leads the development and execution of GISF’s financial planning and systems but also drives the financial strategy, aligning it with GISF’s broader organizational goals and priorities.
Working closely with the Executive Director and as part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Finance Manager ensures that GISF’s financial operations support the organization's mission and strategic direction. The role includes providing expert financial guidance to GISF's partners and stakeholders to ensure financial interoperability and collaboration across projects. Additionally, the Finance Manager oversees all internal and external financial reporting, auditing, and statutory compliance, contributing significantly to the organization’s governance and decision-making processes.
By working with key internal teams, the Finance Manager ensures GISF’s financial stability, including managing reserve funds, overseeing payroll, grant budgeting, and financial reporting to donors. This role is pivotal in shaping GISF's financial strategy, advising on new income streams, managing relationships with external financial bodies, and ensuring the organization meets all statutory and donor requirements.
An onboarding plan will be negotiated with the successful candidate, for additional hours per week to be worked during the initial month/s of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Governance
- Collaborate with the Treasurer to produce financial reports and present them to the Board.
- Ensure timely and compliant financial submissions for the Annual Report.
- Oversee all internal and external audit activities, ensuring compliance with external regulatory requirements.
- Develop and monitor the implementation of GISF’s internal financial policies

Strategy

Programme Finance

Person Specification
Qualifications/Experience/Skills/Knowledge
- Professionally qualified accountant ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Experience of working within donor compliance frameworks, particularly USAID, FCDO and ECHO, or experience of other highly regulated programmes.
