We are looking for a highly skilled leader with exceptional capabilities in income generation, writing, budgeting, people management and strategic planning.

This is a full-time, remote working role.

Position: Head of Development/Income Generation

Salary: £49,727, depending on experience plus 5% pension

The Role

We are seeking a Head of Development who will drive the development strategy to deliver a broad and expanded income scale, including corporate sector, trusts, foundations, government,  and limited individual donors.

With a proven track record in income generation and business development, you will have exceptional writing skills for bid and proposal development.

As Fundraising Coordinator you will play a key role in Viva’s Fundraising & Engagement team, building relationships with and providing exceptional supporter care to our donors – including individuals, churches and community groups. A London-based Museum is seeking a Head of Finance to oversee the running of the finance directorate. This is a key role in the Museum, leading the finances from all aspects including budgeting and financial planning, oversight of day to day financial operations, and year end processes. The role is available owing to an internal secondment and therefore is offered on an 18 - 24 month duration. Candidates interested in part or full-time working options (equivalent to 4 days a week or more) are encouraged to apply.

Job Purpose

Provide a fully person-centred Support Worker/Case Management service, including assessment, recovery planning, co-ordination, and review, for veterans and their families. The Support Worker/Case Manager will also specifically provide welfare support, guidance, and advice where this is required as part of a recovery plan.

Working collaboratively as part of our wider Recovery Services Directorate, you will identify need, create support pathways (internal and external), and co-ordinate structured support plans where beneficiaries have multi-dimensional or more intensive needs.

The requirement for collaborative practice extends to supporting, as required, hybrid and blended models of service provision including the design and delivery of group programmes, promoting engagement opportunities and community activation. The provision of accessible services is achieved through utilising opportunities for physical, remote, and digital delivery methods.

Informed by a strengths/asset-based approach, the Support Worker/Case Manager will work to an ethos which nurtures and harnesses beneficiary confidence, competence, attributes, skills, and knowledge by promoting engagement, purposeful participation, and independence. Localised activity of the Support Worker/Case Manager will reflect community assets and resources available to maximise the recovery chances of individuals.

Location: Remote – London based, hybrid working role. We are based in Aldgate East, and you may be required to travel into the office around twice a week. 

Hours: Four to five days a week (flexible – minimum 28 hours/week). The Young Foundation supports a 4.5 day working week and staff work this, wherever possible (pro rata for those working less than a 35-hour week).

This role will be an integral part of the organisation, supporting on all administrative activities, helping to ensure that the day-to-day operations of the Young Foundation run as smoothly as possible. The Role

The purpose of the Project and Policy Officer role is to:

• Provide vital project management support to some of the large projects that National Voices runs, such as the Health and Wellbeing Alliance which connects the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector with government stakeholders.
• Assist senior members of the policy team to develop policy projects and outputs which support the adoption and spread of equitable and person-centred health and care services.

 Project organisation and administrative

· Support and coordinate the project management of significant high-profile projects, such as the national Health and Wellbeing Alliance. 

· Maintain records of activity, an online resource library, minutes etc as required.

· Lead on collating evidence of activity and its impact to support evaluation.  

· Support the planning and facilitation of online and in person events such as working days and webinars.

· Support stakeholder management, particularly via email and diary management using electronic systems.

Our approach to hybrid working

We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.

We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to-face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.

We assume that this would usually not amount to more than one day per fortnight for people who work full time.

This role includes ensuring financial accuracy, compliance with international accounting standards and other external requirements, effective financial reporting, oversight of UK tax affairs, including quarterly VAT returns, global payroll and the implementation of financial controls and procedures across all regions where the Tearfund operates. The role sits on the Finance Senior Management Team.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:

• Qualified Accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification.
• Significant experience in leading a large global finance control function.
• Leadership of statutory accounting and annual reporting activities.
• Proven experience of financial management in the international relief & development NGO sector.
• Strong experience of using finance systems and spreadsheets, and maintaining the integrity of finance systems, processes and procedures.

We are seeking an individual with strong problem solving and influencing skills, balancing both creating solutions to organisational challenges and holding strong positions where needed. The ability to establish relationships across the organisation will be key.

• Provide leadership within the Finance Team and day-to-day operational leadership within your specified areas of responsibility. 

Qualifications and experience: 

• ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or currently actively working towards completion. 

• Evidence of commitment to continuous personal and professional development. 

Experience of working as a Finance Business Partner is desirable but not essential, you must however be able to evidence significant knowledge and experience of financial accounting and management accounting. 

Due to the nature of the role a full driving licence is essential. Our head office is located in Pickering with a number of regional office bases across Yorkshire (Thirsk, York, Scarborough and Boothferry). The role will involve regular travel and attracts a car allowance to reflect this.
