The Centre Manager/Charity Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of all aspects of St Christopher’s Community Centre. St Christopher’s Community Centre is the new name for the recently combined work of the Family Centre and the Good Neighbours Project at St Christopher’s. Located at the heart of the Holmewood estate, we operate throughout the week with a varied offer of activities and support services for older people, parents with babies and toddlers and youth and children’s work. With an average weekly footfall of over 400 local people and a history stretching back over 30 years, we are a well-respected organisation at the heart of our community. My client is seeking someone with Higher Education management experience in admissions and is offering a role with work-life balance! This is a busy period of clearing and enrolments so you will be required for a minimum 2-month period. As an Admissions Manager, you'll provide vital support to the Head of Admissions, overseeing day-to-day operations, managing the Admissions team, and ensuring all processes are efficient, fair, and customer-focused. You will also collaborate with key stakeholders, manage applicant communications, and ensure compliance with UCAS regulations.

Your new role

• To provide management support to the Head of Admissions around the admissions business process, and in the development and documentation of agreed processes, procedures and policies.
• To take operational management responsibility for student admissions in relation to all applications across the University (FE, UG & PGT & PGR), including the provision of training to admissions practitioners.
• To act as line manager to Admissions Officers.
• To ensure all admissions processes, policies and procedures are being followed throughout the University within agreed Service Level Agreements.
• To have responsibility for the liaison with Programme Directors and Deputy Deans to resolve the legitimacy of rejects, alternative course offers and APEL decisions.
• To regularly generate reports and analysis to inform the progression and development of the admissions team, and to provide ad-hoc statistical analysis when requested from the Head of Admissions or other stakeholders.
• To work closely with the Student Recruitment & Engagement team to ensure a seamless student journey from application to enrolment.
• To develop, manage, monitor and report on applicant communications using the SITS student record system and the CRM system.
• Liaise with colleagues in the Marketing, Communications & Content team to ensure non-entry requirement UCAS Entry Profile information is accurate and reviewed annually.
• To be responsible for monitoring application statistics to ensure that they match application data held in the SITS student record system
• Be responsible for fee status assessment and ensure that the Admissions Team are kept informed on changes to fee status classification and UKVI requirements.
• To act as the main point of contact for the application process with key stakeholders both internally and externally, particularly with feeder schools and colleges with external progression agreements in place (in collaboration with the Partnerships & Engagement Manager, who has responsibility for maintaining feeder school relationships).
• In addition, the Admissions Manager will be responsible for maintaining successful operational relationships between Academic Staff, Registry, Student Services and Finance.
• To act as an ambassador during Open Days and external Marketing & Student Recruitment events on behalf of the university, both within the UK and overseas when required.
• To manage the day-to-day delivery of the admissions process, developing a culture of excellent customer service.
• To develop and monitor agreed customer service standards (e.g. turnaround times, customer journey, application workflows etc.)
• To support the process for developing and agreeing entry criteria, offer-making strategies and communication plans.

This is a unique chance to play a pivotal role in driving impactful external communication strategies that support Individual Giving and Events and Community Fundraising. The Project Manager will lead the delivery and development of UR4Driving, overseeing its day-to-day operations, strategic direction, financial management, and team supervision.

• Promote and publicise the UR4Driving project; manage referral partner relationships and represent the project at relevant meetings across London, including in prisons and probation settings.
• Conduct service user inductions and ensure motivational group sessions are delivered, working with internal and external facilitators.

As part of the Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team, you’ll support the Head of Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Branding by directing the Business Partnering team, and developing and embedding our Business Partnering model.

You’ll partner with senior leaders and product owners to act as a supportive enabler of their communications objectives, and ensuring they’re actively engaged in the development of communications strategies, objectives and plans. What we want from you

In this role you’ll be leading a new team of Business Partners and a Communications Planning Manager to ensure Prostate Cancer UK’s communications are well-planned, integrated (where appropriate), and effective. That means you’ll need a strong understanding of high-impact communications business partnering and planning, using an agile, flexible, and fast-paced approach.

You’ll also excel at building trust and connections with community groups, ideally with experience in reaching, engaging, and activating high-risk communities.

Prior experience and knowledge of devising and delivering big multi-channel campaigns – including PR, social media, communications and marketing would be an asset. About Us:

Strength & Learning Through Horses provides mental health and education support to some of London’s most vulnerable young people through offering equine assisted therapy and alternative education programmes. The organisation’s ability to deliver excellence in its service quality is dependent upon a skilled and competent workforce where learning and continuous improvement is a fundamental aim.

Strength & Learning Through Horses has been in operation for over 10 years and has grown year on year in terms of income and number of young people reached and number of services we offer.

We have 5 full time and 5 part time contracted staff members, 18 freelance staff members and work with 17 volunteers. 400 – 500 young people per year benefit from our life changing services; our hope is that this will increase to 700+ per year from 2027 once the building project at our site is complete. We have ambitious longer term plans for growth.

We have been operating in North London for over 10 years from a small stables, after our lease sadly came to an end in January 2023 we moved to our long term home. This was a derelict stables owned by the Council which we have secured via a 25 year lease. In 2022-23 we raised £300,000 to get the site usable as an equine therapy centre although it is still very run down with much of it boarded up an derelict. We now have full planning permission to develop the site and build a purpose built equine therapy centre which will allow us to double the number of young people who access the space.

About the Role:

To make this dream a reality we are looking for an experienced Capital Fundraising Manager to lead the Capital fundraising campaign for this project to raise £700,000 over 2 years in order to fund this build.

The hope is to raise £350,000 in year one in order to fund half of the build (stage 1) with the remaining funding being secured in the 2nd year to complete the build in year 2. We have a strong track record of fundraising including recently securing 5 years core costs funding from the National Lottery Community Fund and we have warm relationships that we can call on once this fundraising campaign gets activated.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the charity at a time of growth and change and an opportunity for someone to really make this role their own.

• Reporting efficiently on progress

The ability to proactively manage stakeholders from across SLTH to ensure all are involved and their personal networks are utilised in this campaign.
This will include:

• Working alongside the 2 CEO’s to develop a strategy and to utilise existing contacts and warm leads
• Working closely with the Marketing Manager to ensure fundraising materials and pitch decks are high quality
• Engaging staff, volunteers and supporters in the campaign
• Manage fundraising pipeline and presenting a progress updates to the board if required
• Creating a relationship with one of our HNW funders who has connections with other HNW individuals and corporations
• The Equestrian Management Agency (who support us as their partner charity and are invested in making this fundraising campaign a success)

Salford Foodbank provides emergency food parcels to local people who are referred to us in crisis. Food is donated, sorted and packed at our warehouse, then delivered to 7 centres across Salford, where teams of our volunteers greet people as they pick up their food parcels. In addition to food – visitors can access support and advice across our centres to help them maximise their income and ensure they are less likely to need to use the foodbank again.

You’ll be joining a friendly team of 6 part-time staff and approx. 80 volunteers, all dedicated to supporting people living in poverty. We are part of Trussell, a nationwide network of foodbanks.

Rate of pay: £13 per hour

 Full-time / part-time: Part time – 27.5 hours per week (ideally 9am – 3pm Monday- Friday. Some flexibility available)

Temporary / permanent: 2-year fixed contract, with continuation of contract based on funding

Location: Salford Foodbank warehouse and office, 4 Kansas Avenue, Media City, Salford, M50 2GL

 Overall responsibility of the job: Co-ordinate the pool of over 80 skilled volunteers in a variety of roles across the Foodbank operation. Welcome volunteers, arrange appropriate training and ensure volunteers feel valued and informed. General admin duties within the office setting will include welcoming visitors, accepting donations and answering phone enquiries.

Specific responsibilities around the volunteer coordinator role

· Manage all volunteers across the Foodbank operation – including warehouse volunteers, centre-based volunteers and drivers.

· Welcome teams of warehouse volunteers – teams of approx 6 regular volunteers each day for a 2 hour shift.

· Welcome teams of ad-hoc corporate volunteers.

· Motivate volunteers in their roles.

· Manage day-to-day rotas and volunteer availability and ensure volunteer records are kept up to date.

· Arrange volunteer training tailored to each role – to include eg health and safety, manual handling, safeguarding, conflict management, signposting.

· Ensure that all volunteer policies and procedures are followed as per Trussell guidance. Promote and maintain a safe working environment.

· Where necessary, recruit and induct new volunteers.

· Arrange seasonal volunteer celebration events.

· Support volunteers in developing their skills.

· Support volunteers to share their experiences to help promote the work of the foodbank.

· Work alongside the Foodbank manager to ensure volunteers are kept informed of foodbank news and developments.

Specific responsibilities around the admin assistant role;

Based in the foodbank warehouse and office this role will include a variety of admin duties, alongside other colleagues;

· Greet and thank members of the community (individuals, schools, church groups etc) as they drop off food donations.

· Answer phone and email queries – this could be from foodbank clients, referral partners, donors or corporate supporters.

· Welcome foodbank clients – be understanding and empathetic to their needs, direct them to our Foodbank centres across Salford and explain how to access our services.

· Be familiar with other local food providers and charitable organisations across Salford to signpost foodbank clients appropriately.

· Attend team meetings and training sessions.

· The staff team is a small team so you may be asked to get involved in other tasks to assist your colleagues and provide cover when others are away.

Saferworld is looking for a Project Manager to lead the Women, Peace & Security (WPS) Helpdesk within the Conflict Advisory Unit (CAU). In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our UK government call-down service, providing high-quality advisory support to donors, UN agencies, NGOs, and other humanitarian and peacebuilding actors. Your responsibilities include managing project implementation and grant administration, coordinating call-off requests from initiation to completion, and working with teams of experts to ensure the highest quality outcomes.

In addition to maintaining rigorous standards of confidentiality and performance, you will collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure accurate and timely financial and narrative reporting. You will also be responsible for promoting and supporting the uptake of helpdesk outputs by regularly updating our online repository. Liaising with UK government departments and officials is a critical part of the role, as it involves generating demand for our advisory services and representing the helpdesk in outreach and strategic engagements.

You will work under the direction of the CAU Team Lead while supporting strategic oversight on WPS initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to gender-sensitive conflict and security policies and to advance Saferworld's mission and vision.
