The Role

Reporting to the Policy Manager, the Policy Officer works to develop UK-wide, evidence-based policy positions on key issues affecting stroke survivors or those at risk of stroke. Working closely with the rest of the team, they will consult with internal and external experts as well as stroke survivors as part of the policy development process and ensure final positions are disseminated and used effectively.

The Policy Officer identifies and drafts organisational consultation responses, ensuring submissions are backed up by evidence and are informed by those affected by stroke.

Providing expert policy advice and support to colleagues across the organisation, they monitor the external policy landscape and regularly update colleagues on developments. They also support local systems leadership by providing influencing support to regional colleagues, helping to embed policy across the organisation. 

Working closely with the Public Affairs and Campaigns team, they support influencing activity by providing up-to-date evidence to develop strategies and messages. They also support the public affairs work when necessary, and provide policy support for the Chief Executive and other senior leaders by preparing presentations when required.

They collaborate with external partners and coalitions to represent the Association’s policy aims, and push for the integration of the voice of lived experience in policymaking. 

This role will be provided on a fixed term basis, to cover maternity leave within the team.

About You

You will ideally have experience of:

• Developing evidence-based policy positions or statements

• Identifying and drafting consultation responses or similar policy-based responses

• Building relationships with policy stakeholders and stakeholder mapping and management

• Meaningfully involving beneficiaries in policy work

• Developing briefings for a range of audiences, for example parliamentarians and senior colleagues

The Role

The Senior Finance Administrator is essential to the financial operations of the organisation and is responsible for preparing and sending accurate invoices, managing AR/AP, preparing budgets and reports, improving internal processes and handling finance-related enquiries.

Working closely with the staff team and board, the Senior Finance Administrator provides business support, while ensuring that all financial processes align with the co-operative’s values and strategic goals.

Main duties include:

• Ensure the effective day-to-day running for financial operations in line with processes and procedures

• Regularly review finance systems and processes, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.

• Use CRM and accounting software (Xero) to ensure accuracy of data to manage financial data and information.

• Create financial reports and support business development.

The Role

The team purpose is to listen to, understand and inspire our supporters and our teams to fundraise with pride in a way that’s both easy and right for them, with the help they need to enable greater giving that is legal, ethical and inspiring to others. Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

In consultation and verified compliance with the objectives, standards, and requirements communicated by PETA UK and other PETA entities:

• Coordinating PETA's and its entities' online fundraising campaigns, including campaign set-ups, e-mails and donation tracking
• Ensure the operation of the fundraising pages and data-collection elements of PETA's and its affiliates' websites

About the role

We’re looking for an experienced social worker to join our Central Support & Social Care Team in the role of Senior Practitioner.

The Central Support & Social Care Team is a home-based team providing phone and digital support to children and young people with cancer across the UK. The team works alongside our social work teams in hospitals to deliver tailored support. 

This role will manage the strand of the team's work that delivers support to those assessed to have lower-level needs. This is carried out through regular phone-based contact, and provision of an inbound service providing advice and support to young people with cancer, their families and those in their networks. 

This is an exciting time to join the team as we look to grow and maximise the potential of volunteers within the team.

This role is subject to a criminal record check. In the event of a successful application an enhanced criminal record check will be completed. This role is also subject to a Social Worker Registration. 

What will I be doing?

No two days are the same at Young Lives vs Cancer. So, summarising your ‘day to day’ isn’t easy.

The role involves: 

• Practice management of our care navigators (unqualified workers) and volunteers who deliver services in line with the organisation's service specifications
• Responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the strand of our service for those assessed to have lower-level needs. This includes  scheduling planned outbound calls ensuring they meet the contact needs and preferences of young people and families, and accepting new referrals from our social care teams across the UK

What do I need? 

We would love to hear from you if you have: 

• A recognised professional social work qualification 
• A minimum 3 years experience of working with children and young people in a social work setting, including assessment and care planning 
• Experience of managing safeguarding for children and vulnerable adults - legislation, procedures and best practice
• Experience of supervising staff, students or volunteers in a social care setting
• Ability to work virtually using video conferencing to build effective relationships with stakeholders 
• Understanding of oppression and the barriers that marginalised people face, and strong commitment to deliver anti-oppressive practice
• The skills to champion the service and appropriately challenge yourself, teams and partner agencies where necessary.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kickstart and develop their charity events career, joining a busy National Events Team.

Our Events Assistant will play a key role in delivering impactful fundraising projects for Marie Curie. You'll support a variety of activities, from initial planning to event-day execution. You'll provide administrative and event delivery support across our challenge events and supporter led portfolio, ensuring our supporters have an outstanding experience.

This role offers hands-on fundraising experience and the opportunity to be the welcoming first point of contact for many of our supporters. Help us make a real difference while developing your skills in a collaborative and rewarding environment!

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support for product planning, delivery, and team operations.
- Assist with participant communication processes, including enquiries, registrations, and thanking supporters.
- Collaborate with Product Officers and Leads to ensure efficient procedures.
- Attend and support meetings, events, and promotional activities.
- Help develop marketing materials to recruit supporters.
- Monitor and report on fundraising activity on various topics including social media and email results.
- Support the team to manage expenditure, process invoices, and track budgets.
- Thank supporters via social media and other channels.
- Maintain and update supporter data on the database.
- Conduct competitor research and respond promptly to queries.
- Serve as a first point of contact for supporters, handling written and verbal communications.
- Complete general administrative tasks as needed.
- Manage the events team kit ahead of event days.
- Attend fundraising events in person - this role will require some work outside of normal office hours (weekends) where fundraising events necessitate.

Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills for building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive and able to work independently.
- Highly organized with excellent multitasking and administrative abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Confident, resilient, and calm under pressure with a positive "can-do" attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in accurate database management.

ImpactEd Evaluation works with schools and organisations, analysing the impact of programmes and interventions to help them do more of what works and less of what doesn’t. The Opportunity

We are excited to advertise this opportunity to join ImpactEd Group as the Managing Director of ImpactEd Evaluation. This Board-level role will empower you to drive change at scale across the education sector, supporting our partners to make better decisions on behalf of children.

The Managing Director of our Evaluation practice will guide a team of dedicated professionals, leading research and evaluation projects spanning the education and youth sector, helping our partners to understand what’s working and do less of what isn’t. This role is pivotal to our five-year Group strategy and will involve setting the strategic direction of the practice, building on our reputation, and advancing our ambitious vision for growth and innovation.

This position is ideal for someone who combines a strategic mindset with hands-on leadership, adept at moving between high-level planning and practical oversight. We seek a leader with entrepreneurial spirit, a background in education or research, and experience in driving organisational growth and partnerships.
