Our Supporter Services team plays a key role in ensuring that our fundraising teams administration processes are effective and efficient as possible. Your role as Supporter Services and Fulfilment executive means that you will need to work across the whole of the directorate to implement changes that benefit our supporters as well as our fundraising teams.
You will need to be solution focused and be able to work with teams across the whole of the organisation to ensure that our supporters receive the best possible service, whilst increasing their loyalty.
Working as part of this small team a keen eye for detail is needed by everyone who works in it.
Part of the role will involve you managing the teams third party service providers who support various fundraising activities throughout the year, so experience in this area of account management is essential.
In the role you will be expected to engage with our supporters on a regular basis, so you will need to be an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing.
Data forms part of this job and therefore you will need to be proficient in the use of Excel and be able to present facts and figures in ways that are clear and concise.
You should expect to work on your own on some pieces of work as well as part of a team on others.
The ability to multi-task, be flexible and manage competing priorities is essential to succeed in this role.
This is a hybrid role linked to Barnardo House, Barkingside and attendance at the office is needed at least one day per week.

Prioritising campaigns to ensure CRUK delivers the right communications across various channels such as Email, SMS, telemarketing & direct mail to the right supporters
Taking ownership of the below-the-line campaign calendar, keeping teams informed of deadlines, ensuring campaigns submissions are made in a timely manner, communicating with internal delivery teams on scheduling and campaign movements
Collating and co-ordinating marketing activity calendars & schematics to share across the organisation
Acting as the key contact for all scheduling requests coming into the Marketing Planning team and delivering day-to-day tasks
Supporting the development and management of key planning processes and procedures
Supporting the Marketing Planning team through essential business and operational support, including taking minutes and chairing meetings
Supporting the management, curation and evolution of CRUK's social learning programme for CRUK marketers, creatives and communications community (CRUK Marketing Academy).

The role will:
- lead on managing financial sustainability and the assets of the organisation

Duties will include working closely with the CEO and senior leadership team on developing the organisation and managing change to sustain and grow the organisation. They will provide financial oversight of bid preparation and business development opportunities, and have a strategic overview and management of the finances for all service projects and levels of staffing to sustain projects and growth for the organisation.
Finance duties
- Work with the CEO to ensure good financial practices in place and bring to the immediate attention of the CEO, SLT, the Finance & HR Committee (FHRC) and Trustees, as appropriate, any and all areas of financial and risk control.
- Manage the overall financial strategy, preparing 3-year plans, budgets, forecasts & monthly management accounts which are prepared accurately and delivered in a timely manner.
- Produce and monitor a cash flow forecast and highlight any risks to the organisation.
- Monitor and explain variances and ensure timely action to correct any issues.
- Together with HR, prepare monthly payroll instruction, check payroll and organise timely payment. Work with HR, to ensure HR documentation is consistent with payroll and forecast.
- Ensure all sales and purchase transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner. Work with SLT to ensure necessary in place contractual and purchase order documentation in place for income.
- Maintain accounting controls and implement policies and procedures which meet the requirements of SORP and ensure a secure and confidential financial system with appropriate backups.
- Manage financial audits including all necessary preparatory work and interface with auditors.

The Media Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing Independent Age’s media communications programme, including media and PR, social media, celebrities and stories. You should have broad experience of developing and implementing innovative, successful profile-raising plans (across digital and traditional channels). You will bring an ability to work both proactively and reactively, and experience of handling reputational or crisis issues. We are looking for a Volunteering Manager to join our team on a fixed-term contract. The charity is hugely grateful for the important contributions of its dedicated volunteers. The Volunteering Manager will play the critical role, with the support of the Assistant Director of Operations, in ensuring the effective recruitment, placement and retention of volunteers at IntoUniversity – this will include supporting with initial recruitment and training (working closely with local to IntoUniversity teams to deliver this), ensuring that all volunteers across the charity are valued for the talents that they bring, and that the ethos and values of the charity are demonstrated in all aspects of the charity’s volunteering.

What will my main duties be?
With the support of the Assistant Director of Operations:
Volunteer recruitment:
- To develop a volunteer recruitment plan to meet programme and organisational need; and to work closely with the corporate partnerships team and programme and regional managers to implement the recruitment plan, for example working with the Heads of Mentoring to implement a university student recruitment plan for the Mentoring programme
- To deliver guidance and training to support local IntoUniversity centres to implement the recruitment plan, including working with universities and community organisations
- To manage volunteer enquiries and national recruitment channels, such as volunteering sites and networks
Volunteer onboarding
- To use the charity’s Salesforce database to manage the volunteer pipeline - from application, to selection and training, to centre allocation
- To manage the process of onboarding steps including application form, training, Safer Recruitment checks, and support local IntoUniversity centres to implement the onboarding process consistently
- To work with the programmes and delivery team to ensure efficient induction takes place and to ensure staff are recording all volunteering activity on Salesforce
Volunteer training
- To implement a high-quality volunteer training programme for regular volunteer roles, including: organisation of a training schedule and staffing; facilitation of training (alongside delivery staff); providing guidance and training to staff to deliver volunteer training; reviewing training resources and facilitation
Volunteer experience:
- To provide support, resources, and training to centre staff and programme managers to ensure quality volunteer management throughout the volunteer lifecycle
- To implement volunteer development and recognition strategies to ensure volunteers feel valued as part of the IntoUniversity team and to support centre teams to build lasting relationships with volunteers to support retention
- To develop best practice in volunteering across IntoUniversity, including reviewing and evaluating current practice in the sector
Internal collaboration
To drive a joined up approach to managing volunteering within the charity, including:

What we do
LawWorks is the operating name of the Solicitors Pro Bono Group. We are a charity, and our aim is to enable access to justice through supporting and developing the contribution of legal pro bono.
With support from the Law Society of England and Wales, we encourage, facilitate and celebrate pro bono across the solicitor profession and at law schools in England and Wales.

We work primarily with solicitors (firms and in-house teams), and also with law schools and law students, and other legal and non-legal volunteers and organisations.
LawWorks has around 150 member organisations including some of the largest City firms and international firms with an office in London, national, regional and local firms, in-house teams, law schools and charities.
Who we are
LawWorks is a relatively small organisation with 18 members of staff (5 full-time) and a small team of volunteers and interns. We operate a flexible working policy, with several members of staff working hybrid, or where appropriate, from home.

Our projects
There are a number of key strands to our work to support and facilitate pro bono:

we support a growing network of around 300 local independent pro bono advice clinics across England and Wales. We work with lawyers, advice agencies, charities and others to establish or develop new clinics, and provide ongoing information and support, training and resources, for clinic volunteers and coordinators;

our Not-for-Profits Programme facilitates the provision of free legal advice for smaller charities and not-for-profit organisations, supported by volunteer lawyers from LawWorks’ members;

our Secondary Specialisation Programme supports the development of more ‘in-depth’ pro bono in areas of social welfare law. This currently includes an unpaid wages project and ‘Voices for Families’, with the charity Together for Short Lives, supporting parents and carers of children with life-limiting conditions;

we support collaborative projects including: Pro Bono Connect: a project which facilitates barristers and solicitors working together on pro bono cases; the Domestic Abuse Response Alliance and IP Pro Bono.

we have launched new online tools and digital platforms including a website called ‘Free Legal Answers’ and the Pro Bono Portal UK (with Justice Connect, an Australian access to justice charity).
In addition to encouraging and supporting pro bono delivery, we also work to address barriers to justice and to provide a ‘policy voice’ for pro bono - for example, working to address regulatory and other barriers to pro bono volunteering, and working with our members and others to influence policy on legal aid and other aspects of access to justice.
The role
Our experience in the different regions in England and Wales has shown the valueof having staff based locally to support pro bono initiatives, develop new pro bono opportunities and to increase engagement from the local legal profession.
This role will include helping to develop and support your own set of clinics, building on existing relationships in the Southwest or North of England. You will work with our members and the local advice sector to support the development of new pro bono clinics to meet unmet legal needs. We take an innovative, tailored approach to the support we provide, and you will provide one-to one support for individual clinics, allowing you to identify and address need, providing help with insurance, regulatory queries, finding volunteers and access to online tools.
A small part of the role (1 day per week) will involve working closely with the part-time Engagement & Training Officer (Wales) focusing on expanding stakeholder engagement to increase the number of independent legal advice clinics in Wales and promote pro bono involvement by the legal profession. You will work to identify and engage new stakeholders, develop training sessions and support impact monitoring. This role will also work closely with the Clinic Support and Development Officer (Wales), who acts as the first point of contact for guidance and support for clinics in Wales.
Key priorities for this role will be:

To provide guidance and support to independent pro bono clinics registered with the LawWorks Clinics Network in the Southwest or North of England;
