The Global Legal Action Network (GLAN) works with affected communities to pursue innovative legal actions across borders to challenge states and other powerful actors involved in human rights violations and systemic injustice. Our actions address the most pressing instances of human rights concern and they fall within the following themes: War and occupation; accountability and supply chains; environmental and economic justice; and migration and border violence.

About the Role
GLAN has a small yet powerful fundraising team. Our Development Lead excels in relationship fundraising, having forged multi-year funding partnerships with aligned Trusts & Foundations and major donors. The Funding Management team is looking for a Funding Manager, in Belfast.
This role is responsible for all aspects of funding management across a portfolio of restricted funds, ensuring that we are meeting all the Funders and The Trusts requirements. Working effectively across teams to maximise income, increase performance and ensure compliance, to allow The Trust to maximise its support to young people.
You will use your contract/funding management skills to ensure that we are able to maximise income, increase performance and ensure compliance. By working across teams and drawing on your time management, leadership, communication, governance, audit and problem solving skills you will ensure that expenditure claims and reports are compiled accurately and in a timely fashion, and that we comply with all reporting and evidencing requirements for output monitoring.
You will to ensure that The Trust has accurate monthly accounts by preparing drawdown, accrual and deferral figures for the monthly finance return and regularly reviewing the Debtors Report to ensure sufficient cash flow and will manage all funder and internal audits and ensure recommendations are acted upon, sharing best practice across the team.

We are seeking a Corporate Partnerships Manager to join our Fundraising and Communications Team (FRC) at an exciting time in GFS’s history as we enter a new strategic period and turn 150 years old, in 2025. You will lead on the delivery of specific aspects of the organisation’s fundraising strategy including developing new income streams with a focus on corporate partnerships. You will develop broader corporate support and individual giving such as corporate volunteering days and challenge events. You will also lead on our annual fundraising campaigns such as International Day of the Girl and International Women’s Day.

Joining as CRM Manager you will hold responsibility for the Salesforce CRM including data usage, behaviours and data protection within the organisation. Sitting within the Supporter Led Fundraising (SLF) department, the Regional Fundraising Team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for recruiting, stewarding and motivating individuals, companies and community groups to raise £3m per year.
The team consists of 12 home based Regional Fundraising Officers (RFO’s). As one of three Community Fundraising Managers (CFM) you will be responsible for the line management of approx. 4-5 members of the team alongside the management of one of our income streams – either Regional Corporate, Community Groups or DIY.
Reporting into the Head of Regional Fundraising, you will work closely with senior stakeholders within ARUK and be required to play a key role in the implementation of the ARUK 10-year strategy and supporting on the development of the fundraising strategy.
You will work closely with the other CFMs and the SLF Managers Group to ensure consistency with supporter stewardship, manage budgets and support in financial planning, review team capacity and identify and manage priorities throughout the year, ensuring efficiency and a first-class supporter experience. Your overall goal will be helping drive our ambitious organisation growth and ultimately helping us find a cure.
Due to the nature of this role, we will require you to attend our Granta Park office, near Cambridge, one day per week, plus travel to meet the team and attend external meetings/events.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract to cover a period of maternity leave.
Main duties and responsibilities of the role:
Line Management
· Line management of the high performing remote Regional Fundraising Officers; inspiring and driving their success to ensure they remain highly motivated in their roles, achieve their targets and play a key part in the performance of the wider team. As well as 1-1’s and personal growth reviews.
· You will monitor, review, and empower direct reports to ensure effective communication across the wider team and with key stakeholders e.g. Volunteering, Corporate Team, Sporting Events Team, Gifts in Wills Team, Supporter Care Team, Supporter Engagement Team and others.
· Alongside the other CFMs you will be responsible for planning and delivering in person team meetings approx. 5 times per year – these are key meetings to bring the team together and share plans and ideas in addition to ensuring that the remote based team are meeting with and hearing from key internal teams.
Income streams
You will be responsible for one of the following:
· DIY Income Stream Ownership - Writing and delivering the strategy for the current income stream and bringing in ambitious growth to £2.5m over the next year.
· Community Groups Income Stream - Writing and delivering the strategy for the income stream and identifying areas of growth
· Regional Corporate Income Stream - Writing and delivering the strategy for the Regional Corporate income stream and identifying areas of growth
Monitoring and Reporting
· An immediate responsibility for this role is the implementation of the new CRM database (Salesforce). You will need to dedicate time to understating and supporting the implementation, ensuring that it works for the team and that the team are utilising it according to business process and its implementation allows for maximum benefit to the team and all areas of fundraising
· Manage the team’s income and expenditure budget, including monthly reporting, and supporting with monthly reforecasts, and annual budget and operational plan setting.
· Review supporter numbers and income against DIY targets to track impact, ROI and cost income ratio and report back regularly.
· Ensure the fundraising CRM is being used effectively to facilitate accurate supporter stewardship and financial reporting, data segmentation and analysis.
· Use data insights and trends to support the team in budgeting, forecasting and mitigation plans.
· Lead on the build, development and use of Power BI Reporting across DIY and other income streams.
· Continue to review and be willing to change team processes and contribute to wider organisational process changes where necessary.
Relationship Management
· Build and maintain excellent working relationships with agencies, platform providers and event delivery companies to identify new opportunities and ensure all avenues are being optimised for ARUK.
· Work with the Sporting Events Managers to create a process to identify and steward high-value event participants to add value to their fundraising and ensure we are spotting opportunities beyond their current event.
· Work closely with the Marketing & Engagement Team to brief in marketing requirements, share trends, learnings, and results to optimise future activities.
· Work closely with managers from SLF Departments to support on the strategic direction of ARUK, prioritise work and any conflicts across teams, as well as deliver any tactical projects, new processes and ways of working.
Strategy & Operational Planning
· Work in consultation with the Head of Regional Fundraising to develop the regional fundraising strategy and annual tactical plan for ARUK to continue to build income growth in line with organisational objectives.
· Stay abreast of sector activity and actively participate in sector wide forums.
Stewardship and Supporter experience
· Plan and deliver an excellent communications journey for DIY participants and regional supporters including exploring new technologies and how we can talk to our supporters in the way most effective and relevant to them - whether that be email, phone, face to face, through social channels. Whilst also ensuring it aligns with wider stewardship goals and future cross-sell asks.
· Work with the wider SLF team to share best practice, ‘surprise and delight’ success and re-engagement activity to help drive long-term loyalty.
· Work with Philanthropy and Direct Marketing Teams to build on the Mid Value Donor programme.
· Work alongside Data and Insights Teams to understand the potential lifetime value of our supporters and ensure opportunities are developed for supporters to hold a long-term fundraising relationship with ARUK.

The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) promotes evidence-informed equitable, inclusive and sustainable development. We support the generation and effective use of high-quality evidence to inform decision-making and improve the lives of people living in poverty in low- and middle-income countries (L&MICs).
We provide guidance and support to produce impact evaluations and associated formative evaluations; systematic reviews and syntheses, evidence gap maps and support for using that evidence in decision-making and capacity development. Our work encompasses a wide range of topics, sectors and themes, including but not limited to health, nutrition, education, agriculture, governance, microfinance, climate change, humanitarian interventions, and social protection.

1.1 About RCC:
The Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Research Commissioning Centre (RCC) has been established to commission and manage research to enhance development and foreign policy impact. The RCC provides support to FCDO teams for commissioning and delivering high-quality and impactful research. It addresses challenges associated with research bureaucracy, as highlighted by the Independent Review of Research Bureaucracy, by providing a streamlined process for commissioning and delivering FCDO-funded research.
2. Summary:
The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) invites applications for the position of Finance Manager at the Research Commissioning Centre (RCC) funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). This is an important position, and the incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the efficient use of funds for research projects and programs.
3. Key Responsibilities:
3.1 Financial Management of RCC program:

Manages RCC financial operations including invoicing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and cost accounting.

Reviews monthly results against budgets with the program team and implements monthly variance reporting.

Develops and implements financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure efficient and effective financial management within the RCC program

Designs, implements and manages processes to develop financial forecasts and reviews the variances from forecasts against actuals with the program team to take corrective action.

Produces financial reports (inc. month-end, year-end, management accounts, budget versus actuals, etc) for senior management and FCDO
-
Implements internal controls to mitigate financial risks.

Working with the Finance and Programme management teams to ensure grantees and suppliers are paid promptly and accurately and FCDO is invoiced on a timely basis.

Provides expertise in assessing Value for Money from the Economy perspective across the RCC and at the project-level. Acts as a Value for Money champion for the RCC.

Supports the programme team to build out Value for Money processes as part of commissioning processes. Leads Value for Money reviews where appropriate.
3.2 Budgeting and Forecasting:

Assists in the development of budgets and their monitoring. Works closely with the technical team to monitor programme budgets.

Works closely with technical team for smooth and effective programme implementation and cash flow projections.

Works with the Programme Management team to create, implement, and monitor systems for budget pipelines and projections.

Develops and manages financial controls in accordance with the project’s procedures.

Prepares annual budgets in consultation with the Managing Director and RCC team.

Monitors and analyses monthly operating results against the budget.
3.3 Reporting:

Coordinates the compiling of periodic and monthly financial reports and statements

Ensure compliance with budgetary reporting requirements.

Responds to ad-hoc reporting requests in-line with RCC requirements.
4. Qualifications, Skills & Experience
4.1 Education & Work Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting or related field – master's degree preferred.

8+ years of experience in project finance with the minimum of 3 years of financial and budget management experience.
-
Relevant experience working in a similar finance role in one of the following sectors: charities, NGOs, international development, higher education or research institutions. Strong working knowledge of FCDO financial management policies, procedures and practices is a must.

Experience working with and integrating various financial systems and software programs such as Sage Intacct, with high degree of competency in MS Excel and other accounting packages

Experience in the development of financial systems and processes

Experience in creating, analysing, and presenting financial information in an accessible way, to senior management, staff members and donors

Proven ability to produce budgets and forecasts, conduct variance analysis, and produce management accounts.

Proven ability to handle multiple grants simultaneously, prioritise tasks, meet tight deadlines across a wide range of activities and work under pressure

You’ll lead work across the organisation to help us to grow our data maturity, so that reporting and insight becomes an integral part of every role. You’ll inspire your team to make it as easy as possible for everyone connected to the Community Fund’s work to get the day-to-day insight they need to make decisions and deliver projects.
The partnerships you develop externally will be equally important, as you work with other lottery distributors to better use data to connect those that play The National Lottery with the positive difference it makes across the UK.
