Summary

Core Arts Mental Health Creative Charity are looking for a Personal Health Budgets Advisor  to join our expanding team.

This role will support the delivery of the personal health budget (PHB) brokerage service in East London, run by Core Arts. As part of the PHB team the successful candidate would support to provide a high quality, person- focused, efficient PHB brokerage service. The post-holder will be responsible for ensuring personalised support plans are processed by the brokerage service and the financial management is clearly explained and accessible to PHB holders and referrers. You will respond to PHB queries and manage a case load of PHB referrals, ensuring that they are processed efficiently. Your day-to-day work will be primarily desk based, liaising with mainly clinicians and sometimes budget holders to support the PHB process. You will support training and awareness delivery to teams and work with the team in developing increasing involvement with PHB holders.

The NHS long-term plan intends for personalised care to be ‘business as usual’ therefore opportunities for PHBs are increasing, this service works closely with mental health teams (ELFT) and the PHB lead.

Personal health budgets (PHBs) are a way of personalising care, based around what matters to people and their individual strengths and needs, and their recovery plans. It is an amount of money for a person to purchase an item, activity or package of care agreed between them and their health team. They give people more choice, control and flexibility over their support, allowing them to develop a package of care tailored to what will help them to be well and stay well. Personal health budgets allow for creativity and personalisation. The PHB team support processing requests so people can access the items or activities to support recovery goals.

Key responsibilities

• Process PHB referrals efficiently, ensuring requests are person-centred and recovery focussed outlining personalised recovery goals/ plans
• Offer support and guidance to clinicians on personalised support and how to make referrals to the PHB service- communication would be over the phone, email and online and in-person meetings.
• Deliver training in partnership with ELFT to clinicians about PHBs and how to make a referral and hold awareness sessions to raise the profile of PHBs.
• Ensure that the referral process is streamlined and each stage of a PHB is communicated to ensure responsive budgets to referrals.
• Monitor the online platform Patients Know Best (PKB) for any queries from budget holders about their PHB.
• Keep accurate and up to date records of PHBs on the case management system to support the PHB process and with evaluation.
• Work with finance team to ensure PHBs funds are released quickly and accurately, and risks are identified and managed appropriately.
• Collect case stories to raise the profile of PHBs and demonstrate the impact of the service.
• Work as a team to ensure all referrals are responded to and feedback around approval or process are communications effectively
• Work in partnership with ELFT to ensure successful joint working

A main aspect of the role will be to support and work closely with individuals presenting with lived experience of gambling harm issues and/or people affected by this issue. The GOALS Supporter will understand gambling related harm and dependency issues and be able to ensure safe working environments and take a robust lead on safeguarding and harm minimisation procedures and policy.

The post holder will work with the Director of Support Services and GOALS Coordinator to support the development and maintenance of the systems and structure of the service, ensuring that governance and polices are implemented, safeguarding and safe working practices are systematic and develop a clear understanding of how the service integrates with the national gambling treatment service.

Other support activities will be developed, such as group support and weekly meet ups.

The post holder will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, deliver presentations and other promotions within community, education and health centres to help grow and develop the service.

About the Role:
The Knowledge Management and Learning Senior Advisor drives the design and implementation of WaterAid's organisational programme learning and knowledge management strategy. The senior advisor leads the development of knowledge management tools, contribute to organisational processes for collating and disseminating program knowledge, and the evolution of knowledge exchange mechanisms. Additionally, lead the development of the internal programme and policy knowledge library, ensuring comprehensive access and collaborating on strategic knowledge communications. The Senior advisor reports into the Knowledge Management and Learning Senior Manager and their key accountabilities will be:

Co-lead Programme Learning and knowledge management (approximately 50% of time)

• Co-lead the design and implementation of an organisational programme learning and knowledge management strategy (in alignment with the organisational research agenda led by GPAC and supported by PMER processes).
• Lead the development and implementation of knowledge management and learning strategies and tools to capture, organise, and disseminate programme learning within the organisation and externally
• Co-lead the development of organisational mechanisms for knowledge exchange and evolution of our approaches.
• Support and advise PSK team members to effectively document, use and share programme learning and design dissemination strategy and plans to promote thematic learning to the target audience(s).

Develop and promote effective Information Management (approximately 20%)

• Co-Lead the development of the internal programme and policy knowledge library, ensuring that it is comprehensive and easily accessible to relevant stakeholders.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external for strategic and knowledge communications, shaping and populating internal and external facing knowledge systems and building linkages for the same.

Support Programme Capacity Development (approximately 5% of time)

• Contribute to the development of the capacity strengthening strategy and ensure joined-up articulation of learning, knowledge management and capacity strengthening.
• Work with Capacity Strengthening Senior Advisor, to facilitate organisational mechanisms for knowledge exchange, learning and capacity-strengthening.

Support fundraising, external engagement, and communications (approximately 5% of time)

• Provide technical input to specific strategic initiatives and programme design particularly on aspects of knowledge management and programme learning.

Contribute to team processes (approximately 10% of time)

About You:

• Proven experience in leading the design and implementation of organisational programme learning and knowledge management strategies.
• Strong knowledge management background with a track record of developing effective strategies and tools to capture, organize, and disseminate program learning.
• Experience in evolving knowledge exchange mechanisms and creating organizational mechanisms for knowledge evolution.
• Extensive experience in determining and implementing learning and knowledge sharing activities using empowering approaches.

Overview of Role:

As Human Resources Advisor you will be joining a small, friendly and supportive HR team providing advice and support to managers and staff across the full range of employee life-cycle activities. This is a maternity cover post, so is offered on a fixed term contract for 12 months. As this is a short-term contract, we are looking for someone with HR experience at this level who can also embody our culture as a charity with a Christian ethos.

You will provide HR advice and support, to our Centres of Mission (CoM) (which are local projects run in partnership with Diocese to share the Good News of Jesus); our central services team in Sheffield known as Co.Lab; and our Sheffield based conference centre and accommodation.

The HR Advisor will play a key role in developing and strengthening the relationship between the staff, line managers and HR and ensure we deliver an effective HR service which is aligned with the service to the wider organisation. The post holder will work closely with managers in making sure the Christian ethos and values of Church Army are part of their culture and practice as line managers.

This role suits someone who is a HR generalist with strong knowledge of key HR practices including recruitment and retention, employee relations and development and training. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working in HR and hold a related qualification such as CIPD. As the role will be the link between HR, CoMs and our Co.Lab team, the post holder will play a key part in ensuring the vision, values and ethos of Church Army are evident. They will also bring their day-to-day experience of those areas into shaping the practice of the HR Team.

The Head of Corporate Partnerships is a key leadership role within the Income and Engagement Directorate. Breaking Barriers’ relationship with corporate partners is the USP upon which our growth and success as an organisation has been built. The Head of Corporate Partnerships has accountability for generating income, impact and influence from the private sector, and for leading a high-performing team to achieve ambitious growth and scale for refugees around the UK.

As Breaking Barriers has grown from a start-up organisation to a now 60-strong team raising c. £4m and supporting more than 1,200 refugees annually, our corporate partnerships have expanded beyond our original London base to be nationwide partnerships with a wide range of businesses and employers. Our corporate partners have been crucial in enabling our growth and will be crucial to delivering upon the ambition of our 2030 goals. The Head of Corporate Partnerships is an essential role that will make this ambition a reality.

You will lead a team to deliver outstanding partnerships management of a range of strategic and multi-faceted relationships with a portfolio of c.50 businesses alongside leading strategy for business development. Leading by example you will own a number of our key relationships to drive growth, whilst bringing your experience to bear to coach your team and ensure structures and processes are in place to enable high performance.

The Head of Corporate Partnerships will be part of Breaking Barriers’ Joint Leadership Team and will have overall strategic and budget responsibility for Corporate Partnerships. They will be a visible leader within the Income and Engagement Directorate and across the organisation, and will contribute to a culture of creativity, growth, innovation and entrepreneurialism that will drive us to achieve our 2030 goals.

Our Help to Claim service assists people with claiming Universal Credit (UC), from advising if UC is the right benefit for them up to ensuring they receive their first correct payment. Citizens Advice Camden has been delivering the Help to Claim service since it launched five years ago.​

Help to Claim is delivered by telephone, email and webchat as part of the national service. The service is available Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm. As a Help to Claim Adviser, you will contribute towards delivery of this service across all channels on a rota basis. We are based in central London and our Help to Claim team will be working a hybrid office-based/ remote model.​

The role is open to qualified advisers who have recent experience in delivering advice on Universal Credit. Whilst we are keen to provide paid to train opportunities where we can, this role is not suitable for a trainee and such applications cannot be considered. JOB SUMMARY

The Head of Development will be a dynamic leader within the RUH and a charismatic ambassador externally. Responsible for leading the Development Team across all funding streams and personally managing a select portfolio of major gift prospects, the role will transform our approach to fundraising and philanthropy, delivering against demanding targets and key projects (research, patient & staff support, capital campaigns, medical equipment and ‘where the need is greatest’). This is an exciting opportunity to help lead, grow and re-shape the Development Team and is a pivotal role within the SLT, reporting directly to the Head of RUHX.

The successful candidate will be the entrepreneurial force behind leading a team to grow income to £4m+ to support projects and campaigns across the RUH. You will be an experienced fundraising professional with a proven track record of delivering significant income across all funding streams and meeting challenging targets to deliver growth. As an innovative and strategic leader, you will focus on driving donor-centric partnerships, providing exceptional supporter experiences while bolstering exceptional stakeholder relationships.

The Head of Development will be an inspiring and compassionate leader, used to recruiting and motivating a high-performing team and operating a learning and development approach. A skilled communicator and influencer with exceptional diplomatic skills, you will have an ability to develop strong working relationships with staff, trustees, donors and other stakeholders. You will have extensive budget management and planning experience, and will be working closely with the SLT, the Director of Finance and the Charities Committee.

Above all, you will be dedicated to RUHX, the RUH and the NHS - committed to transforming patient care through a business-minded and innovative approach towards driving development. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development—The post holder will line manage a successful team of fundraisers and will be responsible for securing a team total of £1.5m per year. The Head of Development will manage a personal portfolio of major gift prospects and will be responsible for the identification and cultivation of potential donors, typically in the region of £250,000 and above, delivering a £1.5m a year.
• Leadership & Management- responsible for providing inspiring and innovative leadership and team management, nurturing a culture of ambition, support, and inclusion at RUHX. Ensure the alignment of the charity's vision, values, and behaviours while managing a high-performing Development Team, in line with best practice.
• Strategy - responsible for the strategic leadership and delivery of all development functions of the RUHX’s income generation, in line with the charity’s objectives and the Charities Committee.
• Governance and Compliance- responsible for ensuring RUHX's is compliant with all fundraising regulatory and legal obligations, including GDPR, The Fundraising Regulator and the Code of Fundraising Practice.
• Financial & Risk Management- responsible for leading and managing the Development Team to meet financial fundraising targets and oversee budgets. Working with the SLT, ensure timely updates to the Head of RUHX and Charities Committee, reporting on risks with recommendations.
• External Relations and Communications- working with RUHX Director and Marketing & Communications Team support with corporate communications, public relations, and brand consistency.

You will have experience of running large-scale digital marketing campaigns and managing complex projects with a range of different stakeholders, in addition to a good understanding of how to interpret data in order to optimise campaigns.  You’ll be confident in managing digital and creative agencies and have a demonstrable understanding of digital content best practice including the use of Google AdWords and Meta Business Suite.

About the Role

• You will have substantive experience in providing immigration advice and casework, with the relevant Level 2 OISC qualification (or OISC level 1 working towards Level 2). Please note only candidates with the relevant OISC qualification and legal experience will be considered.
• You will be part of a specialist team that provides a migration service within a centre for people experiencing homelessness and interconnecting needs.
• You will have experience of working jointly with other agencies and building strong, effective partnerships internally and externally.

Mentor Administrator 

Post:Mentor Administrator – Sickle Cell Children and Young Persons’ Peer Mentoring Programme

Base:Flexible home working in the intervention areas which will cover Liverpool, Manchester and Sheffield 

Accountable to:North-West/South Yorkshire Programme Manager

Hours:Part-time (17.5 hours a week)

Salary:£11,500 (pro rated)

Length of contract:Fixed term, 12 months (post will be continued subject to the outcome of negotiations with funders).

Role Purpose

The Mentor Administrator will work with the mentoring team, as well as in partnership with local NHS services and local patient/family support groups, providing various administrative support tasks to ensure the delivery and smooth running of the Children and Young Adults Peer Mentoring programme. The post will be managed by the North-West and South Yorkshire Programme Manager. The post holder will have regular meetings for input and guidance to complete tasks to specified timelines. This role would suit an experienced administrator.

In this exciting role, you will provide pro–active emotional, practical and advocacy support for male and non-binary survivors who have experienced any form of sexual violence and are engaging (or considering engaging) with the criminal justice system. 

Our ISVAs work with clients currently residing in any London borough, or if the abuse was committed in any London borough. Some travel to London will be expected.
