Huddersfield Mission is the foremost voluntary organisation in Huddersfield and wider Kirklees that works with people who are experiencing significant poverty, homelessness, poor mental health or addiction issues. We support about 1000 different people every year.

Are you a proactive and values-driven leader ready to oversee the daily operations at Huddersfield Mission? We are looking for a skilled individual to ensure our services run smoothly and continue to provide vital support to the Huddersfield community.

This crucial role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to design and implement effective processes to help others achieve and work more effectively. As Centre Manager, you will play a key part in implementing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Volunteering guidelines, and co-leading on Safeguarding.

You will lead our operational teams, including café, premises, and room hire services, to deliver exceptional service while contributing to plans for future growth.

As a key member of the Huddersfield Mission Management Team, you will collaborate closely with the Chief Executive, Advice Service Manager, Board of Trustees, and sub-committees, contributing to the strategic direction of our organisation.

We are an award-winning local charity that provides specialist care and support to children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families across Berkshire and into surrounding counties.

We are looking for a motivated, dynamic and experienced Communications Manager to join our team and who will help us build on our charity’s established reputation. The role is based at our state-of-the-art children’s hospice just outside Maidenhead.

The Kenelm Youth Trust is seeking a Retreat Centre Director to head up both the Alton Castle and Soli residential centres based in Alton, Staffordshire. You will be required to live on site in order to fulfil role requirements.

The Retreat Centre Director will have overall responsibility for the co-ordination and delivery of the residential programmes, day retreats, outreach work and school missions and will work collaboratively with the senior leadership of the Kenelm Youth Trust.

We are seeking an experienced youth work manager to shape and develop the programmes across the site. The role carries considerable responsibility for the community life and working with schools and groups to design tailor made retreats and programmes.

We are looking for a Societies Development Coordinator to provide accurate, consistent and innovative support to the 400+ clubs and societies, committees and volunteers. They will support the delivery of a variety of student led events and activities, empowering and enabling student leaders. This role will put students’ experience at the forefront of everything we do, focusing on providing excellent management of stakeholder relationships, problem solving and risk management with student activities.

The role is a full time and permanent contract. This role is based at our Bloomsbury campus with flexibility to work from home on a 40/60 basis (40% working from the office). 

Key Requirements

Do you have experience of organising and managing a variety of events; or enabling volunteers to deliver events? Do you have knowledge and understanding of student activities programmes including clubs, societies and volunteering?

Spectra CIC delivers peer to peer counselling services across London. The post holder will coordinate Spectra’s LGBTQ+ Youth Counselling Service. This will include the delivery of counselling sessions, client allocations, service development and waiting list management. In addition to liaison with members of the counselling team.

You will have good understanding of the health and well-being needs of young LGBTQ+ people, and an understanding of access barriers in underserved groups within communities.

You will have a good working knowledge of Office programmes including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

The Centre Manager/Charity Leader will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of all aspects of St Christopher’s Community Centre. St Christopher’s Community Centre is the new name for the recently combined work of the Family Centre and the Good Neighbours Project at St Christopher’s. Located at the heart of the Holmewood estate, we operate throughout the week with a varied offer of activities and support services for older people, parents with babies and toddlers and youth and children’s work. With an average weekly footfall of over 400 local people and a history stretching back over 30 years, we are a well-respected organisation at the heart of our community. In the midst of a time of change, this new role is an exciting opportunity for someone to take the organisation forward into the future.
