Pancreatic Cancer Action are excited to be seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Supporter Care and Fundraising Co-Ordinator to join our fabulous Fundraising Team.  This is a varied role where no two days will be the same.

Whether you are looking for an introduction into the world of fundraising or to build on your existing fundraising skills, this role will offer you the opportunity to gain a breadth of experience about different fundraising income streams, finance processing, CRM data and stewardship journeys.

Our incredible supporters are at the heart of all that we do at Pancreatic Cancer Action. This role offers a unique opportunity to work with our fantastic supporters daily. Providing them with the tools, knowledge and materials they need to help reach and exceed their fundraising targets. From head shaves to cake sales, dress-down days to extreme sports. You will be the first point of call for all fundraising enquiries and be on hand to provide bespoke stewardship support to ensure we develop long-lasting relationships with our PCA community, groups and companies across the UK.

 

Main responsibilities:  

• Provide admin and operational support to the Fundraising Team
• Accurately record and manage data using the Salesforce CRM system.
• Ensure that fundraisers and supporters get timely correspondents by email or phone.
• Inspire supporters through innovative new stewardship ideas, sending out relevant materials and offering support and advice to enhance their event/fundraising.
• Maintain and develop relationships with existing supporters, helping them to exceed their fundraising targets and inspiring them to become life-long supporters.
• Update all event portals with fundraising details and complete the registration process on time.
• Monitor and input data from various fundraising platforms onto our Salesforce database to ensure accurate reporting on income from events/fundraising.
• Take ownership of fundraising tracker to ensure first class stewardship is provided to all supporters.
• Supporting community-based fundraising volunteers and groups.
• Work collaboratively with the fundraising and marketing team to ensure that email templates, cards and certificates remain up to date and relevant to our audiences.
• Work with the fundraising team to identify ways to surprise and delight our fundraisers and ultimately build long term relationships with a consistent approach.
• Support in the planning and implementation of fundraising events, products and campaigns
• Work across various fundraising streams such as community and events fundraising, Individual giving, In memory and corporate fundraising.

JOB PURPOSE

UK for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner, is looking for an ambitious and proactive Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer to join the Private Partnerships & Philanthropy team.

ROLE RESPONSIBLITIES

• Account management of a portfolio of high value partnerships, providing first-class relationship management and maximising value, including financial, advocacy, pro bono and in-kind support. 
• Work with existing corporate engagement products and support the development of new employee fundraising ideas. 
• Research new trends and innovations and emerging areas of interest for corporate partners.
• Act as team lead for quarterly corporate e-newsletter.
• Remain flexible and quickly respond to emergency situations, identifying and responding to fundraising opportunities.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND EXPERIENCE 
Essential Experience

• A track record of stewarding and maximising multi-year corporate partnership(s), preferably within the charity sector.
• A track record of devising and delivering bespoke and engaging partnership fundraising plans and campaigns to increase income.
• Experience of communicating complex themes and subjects to a variety of audiences, written and verbal.
• Experience of event management and co-ordination to engage corporates and their employees

Research Coordinator for the SWERV project at National Ugly Mugs (NUM)

SALARY AND HOURS:

Salary: £34,125 FTE at 0.5.

Supporting NUM's research project, 'Sex Workers Evaluate Reporting Violence' (SWERV)

LOCATION OF THE POST HOLDER:

You will be remote working and will be provided with the equipment and tools required to deliver this work. You will need a secure environment and access to a stable internet connection. In the event that you were required to travel within the United Kingdom all your costs will be covered by NUM.

ROLE SUMMARY

We are looking for a Research Coordinator to join us at NUM to support our Sex Workers Evaluate Reporting Violence (SWERV) research project!

SWERV is a research initiative between health researchers at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) and National Ugly Mugs (NUM), in collaboration with Brunel University. Together, with the meaningful involvement of sex workers across the UK, we will evaluate how membership and engagement with NUM services affects sex workers’ safety, mental health and wellbeing.

About NUM: 

National Ugly Mugs (NUM) is an award-winning charity with a mission to ‘end all forms of violence against sex workers.’ NUM provides a mechanism for sex industry workers to report crimes and harm they experience and share this information within their communities to warn others of potentially dangerous individuals and situations.

We have a dedicated casework team of industry experts who support sex workers to further access criminal justice remedies and other services as determined by victims/survivors to cope and recover from crimes they experience in the ways they choose. We also host a range of other projects in racial justice, mental health, drop-in support (Scotland), and vocational exploration.

About the project:

The SWERV project is a multi-year research collaboration between NUM and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. We will study how NUM’s alerts, the NUMchecker, reporting and casework (‘interventions’) affect sex workers’ safety and mental health, through five work packages A-E. We will interview sex workers who have and who haven’t used NUM, and service providers, about their views and experiences of NUM’s services, to understand who benefits from the interventions, how and why (‘qualitative process evaluation’ – work package B). We will ask new NUM members, and sex workers who aren’t members, to fill in a questionnaire twice, six months apart. The questionnaire will ask about violence, safety strategies, and mental health, to compare the experiences of sex workers who do and don’t use the alerts and the NUMchecker (‘impact evaluation’ – work package C). We will estimate value for money, by calculating how much the interventions cost to run and comparing this to no intervention, in terms of preventing violence against sex workers and improving their quality of life (‘economic evaluation’ – work package D). We will use the information to understand how NUM’s services work in different places and for different people, depending on their circumstances and the wider environment. We will take the ‘DEPTH’ approach which involves ‘dialogue’ workshops with sex workers and practitioners to design the research and recommendations together (work packages A and E). Together, we will use what we learn to recommend how to improve community-based violence prevention and survivor support services ‘by and for’ sex workers.

Person Specification

A successful candidate should:

· Have demonstrable experience and understanding of sex work, sex worker rights and self-determination, and be in good standing with the sex worker rights and sex work research communities in the UK

· Have a clear understanding of how intersecting factors including criminalisation, stigma, systemic racism, gender, disability, poverty, mental health and access to resources influence sex workers’ lived experiences, how they may engage with services and research, and their access to public services and police protection

· Be familiar with all aspects of the charity sector, the work of National Ugly Mugs and other sex worker-serving and sex worker-led organisations.

· Have knowledge of systemic racism as it operates within the UK and be embedded within an anti-racist and anti-oppressive framework, whether this be through previous work, activism or personal life experiences

· Have experience leading or coordinating projects and a comfortability with qualitative and/or quantitative data collection (e.g. surveys, interviews, focus groups) and management, including participant recruitment.

· Have experience of organising and/or delivering events/workshops/outputs to share research/practice with communities and seek their input/feedback

· Have commitment to participatory research principles

· Have a commitment to NUM’s core principles of Sex Workers First, Quality Support and Learning and Innovation

· Possess strong written and verbal communication skills

· Have experience working independently and leading projects.

It is desirable, but not essential, that a successful candidate should also:

· Have experience of collaborating with different partner organisations (e.g. peer-led organisations, services, universities)

· Have experience of qualitative and/or quantitative research design and analysis

· Have experience of participatory research

· Have knowledge or experience of evaluation methods (e.g. process evaluation, impact evaluation, economic evaluation, realist evaluation)

· Have formal research experience in the humanities, social sciences and/or health sciences

Lead Music Therapist

Coram Parenting and Creative Therapy Service

Contract: Permanent, 28-35 hours days per week, 4-5 days per week

Location: Coram campus, London

Coram Parenting and Creative Therapy Service offers art, music and drama therapy, therapeutic parenting, clinical psychology and family therapy to children and families at our dedicated creative therapies centre and in schools.  We work primarily with adoptive and connected carer families, and children who have low level mental health difficulties.  We are a trauma-informed service and have specialist expertise in neuro-diversity and children with special education needs. The well-established team has a strong track record in therapeutic interventions, including music therapy, art therapy and narrative therapy based multi-family groups for younger children who are adopted or with a Special Guardianship Order.  We have a purpose built therapy building and have recently built a music studio for our adolescent work.  We work within very diverse communities and we consciously challenge ourselves and our practice, seeking at all times to be inclusive and anti-racist. We welcome applications from therapists who come from global majority communities.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HCPC qualified Music Therapist to provide leadership, supervision and management of music therapists and other creative therapists in the service.  You will carry out therapeutic multi-disciplinary assessments and music therapy interventions with adopted and Special Guardianship Order families.  This work involves trauma informed approaches, family work and life story work.  The team is led by a Clinical Psychologist and provides creative, relational, and evidence based approaches, collaborating with wider networks and reaching schools and communities to inform child centred and trauma informed practice. The post holder will receive supervision by a highly qualified Music therapist, and be line managed by a Clinical Psychologist.   The post offers a unique opportunity to work alongside skilled creative and family therapists. We seek to empower children and families using strengths based narratives, as well as accepting vulnerability and seeking opportunity for connection, strengthening resilience and support. 

The successful candidate will be experienced at working with managing and supervising therapists, developmental trauma, and child and family work and operates with initiative and responsiveness in a dynamic professional environment.   A background in CAMHS and/or a social care services would be desirable, with a good understanding of safeguarding planning and managing highly emotive situations. Experience of running multi-family groups would be an advantage. This role requires a supportive professional, a team player, who enjoys working in a diverse, respectful and challenging team.

This innovative role has been created to respond to recent demands for an integrative approach into support delivery of vulnerable adults presenting a severe and enduring mental illness and/or a forensic background, at times in combination with substance misuse.

The post holder will lead on creating a therapeutically informed programme in order to develop a Psychological Informed Environment in the service.

The role would suit an experienced counsellor/psychotherapist who will lead in facilitating therapeutic groups and individual counselling /therapy for service users. On the other side provide support to the staff team in developing their psychological understanding and raising awareness in the emotional impact of working with this client group.

What you'll do:

Adopt and implement a Psychological informed Environment in the service.
To support the team in carrying out holistic assessments on appropriate support plans, and comprehensive risk assessments in full consultation with service-users, their families/carers and other agencies.
To liaise with the multi-disciplinary team working collaboratively to ensure that full information is given (in case of risk) to enable a robust assessment of service-users.
Lead on staff team debriefs following any serious incidents, develop workshops to assist staff in managing stress and wellbeing in the workplace and advise the manager on supportive interventions for the team as a whole
Lead on team reflective practise sessions as well as other creative activities for the team to aid reflection, insight and best practise.
To ensure recovery focused support plans are reviewed, evaluated and amended in accordance with changing needs, presenting risks and individual preferences in order to promote recovery with an attitude of 'positive risk taking'.

The Fundraising Coordinator will play a pivotal role within the Supporter Services team, ensuring transactions and donations are processed according to strict guidelines. • Manage daily tasks including post opening, cheque processing and banking.

About the role:

The RSAP (Rough Sleeping Accommodation Programme) Lead Worker will provide support to individuals, who have a history of Rough Sleeping, following them being accepted into the RSAP ‘move-on’ programme. 

The Lead Worker will provide intensive, holistic, strengths-based, trauma-informed, flexible and responsive support to individuals accessing this service as well as work alongside external agencies to help ensure they are linked into the local community such as activities and groups which offer health, wellbeing and Education, Employment and Training (ETE) opportunities.

The Lead Worker will provide support to the Team Manager to manage referrals coming into this element of the service and lead on assessing the individual. Working within SHP’s policy and procedural framework, the worker will carry out a comprehensive assessment of needs and risks in agreed timescales.  On-going high quality support plans & risk assessments will then be drafted and reviewed on a regular basis. 

You will be working to upskill the client to manage their accommodation and feel ready to move on from the RSAP property into fully independent housing, within 2 years where possible.

About you:

You will possess the relevant knowledge and experience, including:

• A level of experience and understanding of provision of services to people within the areas of offending, mental health, homeless people with complex needs & a history of substance use; 

• A good and current understanding of safeguarding issues and procedures;

• Experience of effective liaison with social care, health, housing and criminal justice agencies;

To be successful as the Peer Mentor Coordinator (Young Women & Girls) you will need the below experience and skills:

You will be able to project manage the Maia’s Service’s peer mentoring programme, liaising with keyworkers and partner agencies to successfully establish and run a peer mentoring programme across six boroughs.

You will be able to effectively engage and recruit women with lived experience to act as Volunteer Mentors for the YWG engaging with the Maia service. 

You will be able to develop resources and deliver a training package to Volunteer Mentors, including sessions on key topics such as safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality, building relationships and maintaining boundaries, active listening and risk and crisis management, as well as specialist workshops focused on the challenges facing YWG, including violence, abuse and exploitation and contact with the criminal justice system.

You will have experience in developing and maintaining links with partner agencies (statutory and non-statutory, including children and young people’s and women and girls’ voluntary services) across the six boroughs, raising the profile of the Maia service and developing specific referral pathways for Volunteer Mentors and the YWG they support where appropriate.

You will be knowledgeable and have a strong understanding of the challenges facing vulnerable young women and girls, including the impacts of domestic abuse, exploitation, mental health and contact with the criminal justice system, and of the practical and emotional support needs specific to this group, including education, confidence and relationship-building.
