Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years’ experience of partnering with women in the sex industry, to see them safe from coercion, violence and abuse. We deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support, provide training, and create resources and reports informed by research, lived experience, and practitioner experience.
Our ‘Direct Work’ is central to the organisation, and we are looking to recruit a new Women’s Support Worker.
Taking a woman-centred approach, your role is to provide phone-based holistic support for women with complex needs who want support or to exit the sex industry.
We are looking for someone with energy, motivation and experience of working with vulnerable adults; someone who a highly developed sense of self-awareness who can work in a gender and trauma informed way.
This role will be part of a small team of support workers, and a service manager, who deliver a call and email-based case work system. You will have frontline experience of working with individuals who experience multiple disadvantage. This might be in the VAWG sector, domestic abuse, substance misuse, mental health or counselling or direct experience of women in the sex industry. You will have a good understanding of working with vulnerable people and be aware of the need and processes around Safeguarding adults and children.

This post is offered as fixed term contract for 12 months, or secondment for internal colleagues.
We have an exciting opportunity within the Bristol Street Outreach team as the Target Priority Group (TPG) Coordinator. The TPG is a cohort of clients with the most long-term and repeat periods of rough sleeping. Our belief is that rough sleeping is an intrinsically harmful and dangerous activity both for the individual and for the wider community. Therefore, we take a proactive and assertive approach to supporting people away from this activity. Our aim is to support people to recover from the effects of rough sleeping and move away from a street lifestyle permanently.
In the TPG Coordinator role you will provide focussed case coordination and management of this group, working creatively alongside partner agencies to provide clients with a viable long-term option of accommodation that will allow them to start their recovery from homelessness and journey to independence. You will:
- Oversee the case management of TPG Outreach Workers.
- Hold a small caseload of clients, delivering intensive casework to them.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including the Local Authority, other homeless services and housing providers.
- Raise the profile and awareness of the TPG to encourage a city-wide, multi-agency response to long-term and repeat rough sleeping.
- Have the opportunity to support the Service Manager in collating information for reporting to demonstrate the themes and issues the team and clients face.

About the Specialist Housing and Services team
This team is seeking to support a wide range of Londoners who may be marginalised by the housing market. These roles are two of three lead managers that report into the Head of Service, working as a group to provide collective leadership. The team provides services and programmes that support Londoners in pathways to safe, secure and decent accommodation. People experiencing homelessness, rough sleepers, survivors of domestic abuse, adults with learning disabilities and older people are just some of the groups the team supports.
About the roles
You will drive the GLA’s efforts with partners to be a system leader in homelessness prevention, rough sleeping, and specialist and supported housing provision. The work of the team is shifting to respond to a highly complex environment in a broad system, to make the most impactful interventions for the Londoners we serve. We are looking for proactive and highly organised people with excellent problem solving, influencing and negotiating skills. They will also need to be skilled and adaptable leaders who can manage change with compassion and focus.
You will oversee and lead teams delivering a range of capital and revenue funding programmes. As a system leader, you will consider and design programmes, services and interventions to ensure they maximise value for Londoners. Working with the full range external stakeholders in this space will be a fundamental aspect of these roles, including involvement in securing government funding for new and existing programmes, services and interventions. You will also oversee promotion and support to prospective bidders, bid assessment and evaluation, contracting, and outcome monitoring and reporting.
Skills, knowledge and experience

This is an exciting opportunity to join our new service supporting Unpaid Carers across Lewisham to improve their health and wellbeing, and access support that meets their needs.
The team works with unpaid Adult Carers, Young Adult Carers and Young Carers, completing statutory and holistic assessments to understand people’s individual circumstances and level of need. You will carry out home visits and community meetings, co-produce support plans, and develop effective relationships with Unpaid Carers, families, and professionals.
You’ll build on your local knowledge to signpost and facilitate access for Unpaid Carers to support services, including financial and benefit advice, housing, health and safety home systems, and leisure and social activities. You will also support the development of escalation plans so that Unpaid Carers are prepared for unforeseen circumstances that would impact negatively on ability to care.
Applicants should have relevant personal or professional experience of working with Unpaid Carers and/or vulnerable adults or children in a social care, health, education or voluntary and community sector. You’ll need a practical understanding of barriers faced by Unpaid Carers, and an awareness of cultural differences and access to services. Experience of working in mental health or dementia services would be an advantage.

Time for young people is our emotional wellbeing support space for young people in Leeds. Time for young people empowers young people to take time for themselves.
Leeds TIME opening hours supports the needs of the communities in which we work, and therefore there are elements of unsociable hours - this may include evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. These will always be agreed in advance and will be as flexible as possible to need individual needs.
Do you want to support a team who work with children, young people with emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties?
The post holder will support Children, Young People, and Young Adults in our Emotional Health & Wellbeing services based in Leeds, offering low intensity support under a brief intervention framework.
It is planned to offer drop in sessions where young people can drop in and meet trained staff one to one. Young people can come along and talk through what they are struggling with. The service holds no waiting lists and therefore the ability to build relationships quickly, identify risks, and process further support is vital.
Alongside our drop-in support, we also offer young people more structured one-to-one sessions, alongside group-based work.
We are looking for a Wellbeing Practitioner that:
-Has a genuine passion and working knowledge of young people and mental health.
-Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with CYP and families
-Experience of working in settings with young people who have emotional, behavioural and/or mental health concerns.
-Has a background or worked in Health Care, Education, Youth Work or Social work
-Able to provide direct low level therapeutic support that is person centred.
-Able to deliver improved wellbeing for children &young people presenting in crisis.
-A good working knowledge of Mental and Emotional Health Issues that young people face today, including interventions on how to support young people in overcoming these challenges.
Due to the fast paced environment and use of computers for clinical record keeping, you will need to have a good level of IT skills.

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are hiring a Service Manager to join our team in Ealing, leading a service which provides a recovery focused service to adults with long term mental health difficulties. You will support the team to deliver person centred support to improve our residents' lives, gaining greater independence to support them in their move on into low support accommodation.
As the Service Manager, you will have full oversight of your service, ensuring full contract and regulatory compliance, and support the Head of Service in the implementation and delivery of service monitoring and development. You will contribute to the strategic direction of local services.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00 with flexibility to work outside these hours as required by service requirements. This is an in person face to face role, and will include the requirement for providing out of hours on call support which is arranged on a rota.
Salary: £36,600

This role will involve working directly with LGBT victims/survivors of domestic abuse and housing needs who are also experiencing other compound needs such as mental health or substance use issues. This will include offering clients a space to talk and think through options, helping them plan what they want to do, and advocating with other services to ensure they have access to the support they need.
You will also be responsible for managing a relationship with key partners and funders from within the violence against women and girls sector. This will involve attending regular partnership meetings, providing updates on service delivery and collaborating on reports to funders. You will also be expected to attend networking events as a representative of their organisation.
You will also act as the single point of contact for other team members with questions about housing support and clients experiencing multiple compound needs. You will provide practice development and advice sessions within the team on this topic.
Your work will focus on needs specifically related to experiences of abuse or violence, including issues such as support with the criminal and civil justice process, advocating for safe accommodation, safety planning and access to other services. You will be empathetic and thoughtful in your approach to understanding your clients’ needs, while remaining boundaried and mindful of self-care. You will work as part of their wider advocacy and support team and alongside mainstream services to ensure the voices and experiences of LGBT survivors are represented at a local and national level.
