We’re looking for a Freedom Volunteer Coordinator, who will be responsible for recruiting and supporting our volunteer foster carers, who play a critical role in helping people find freedom from domestic abuse.

About this role:
As Freedom Volunteer Coordinator, you will:

• recruit volunteer foster carers for the project, including handling queries from prospective volunteers, ensuring documentation is completed and supporting with training and induction,
• help with volunteer recruitment, such as attending recruitment events and supporting with virtual recruitment campaigns,
• support with ongoing management and retention of volunteer fosters, working with regional managers to ensure volunteering standards are maintained, and volunteers are recognised for their important contribution to our work,
• write regular communications to volunteers, including designing and producing promotional materials of the project.

This role is being offered as a fixed term contract for six months.

About you:
To be successful in this role, you’ll need some experience of working with volunteers in previous role, ideally with experience of recruiting, inducting, and managing them. You’ll also need experience of home visiting and working in a public facing role, combined with a proactive attitude and excellent communication skills. Critically, this role requires an understanding of domestic abuse, and it’s impact on pet ownership, as well as the emotional resilience to manage the emotional demands of the role.

The Outreach team runs several projects supporting pet owners who are homeless or in housing crisis in the UK, including Freedom, a pet fostering service for people fleeing domestic abuse. Most referrals come from women fleeing domestic abuse via women-only services. The service places dogs into volunteer foster homes on a temporary basis until their owners are able to be reunited with them. The Freedom Project runs in Greater London and the Home Counties, Yorkshire, the North East, the North West, East Anglia, Scotland, Wales, and Hampshire.

The role

We are seeking a Business Assurance Manager to join our organisation, working closely with the CEO and our Senior Management team. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the organisation, including front of house, quality and governance.

Essential criteria:

• Professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with significant post-qualified financial and operational management experience.
• Proven experience at a senior level in a finance role with responsibility across the entire finance function, including hands on experience in delivering business partnering.
• Knowledge of the legislative, tax and regulatory framework of companies, ideally in the not-for-profit sector.
• Leading an end-to-end external audit process.
• Developing/improving and implementing financial procedures and controls. 
• Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and interpret complex issues at Board level, and to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organisation including experience of working with non-executives.

About the role

Corporate Partnerships are a vital income stream for Habitat for Humanity GB, and with the guidance of our Head of Corporate, the Corporate Partnership Manager will work to maximize fundraising opportunities and strengthen relationships with our current partners.

What the role involves

The Partnerships Manager will help to retain long term support and drive growth within in our portfolio for Habitat for Humanity GB. You will also play a key part in reducing the risk of re-offending, liaising with external professionals, preventing homelessness and promoting the independence and social inclusion of these clients.

The working rota for this post is Monday - Friday. (no weekend shifts) and a mixture of earlies (8am - 3.30pm) & lates (3pm - 10.30pm)

Purpose of Role

The Supporter Services Lead is a pivotal role dedicated to ensuring that every supporter’s interaction with Comic Relief is positive, memorable, and contributes to long-term relationships. By strategically managing both our fulfilment agency and in-house Supporter Services function, the Supporter Services Lead will oversee the delivery of efficient, and compliant supporter care, ensuring that all processes align with our commitment to excellence.

Operate as a x-organisational leader within the Fundraising & PR team, representing the Supporter Care team and Comic Relief supporters as part of the FR leadership team, strategizing and collaborating on the development of team plans and budgets and the implementation, management and monitoring and reporting against these.

Act as a data champion, working with colleagues across the organisation to ensure supporter data is accurately captured, recorded and stored appropriately and proactively managing fulfilment supplier to conform to our compliance and operating standards

As a key stakeholder in the ongoing development of our online shop to ensure the requirements of our customers are prioritised and the performance of our fulfilment supplier can be optimised.  Accountable for ensuring all fulfilment requirements are met in line with agreed service level agreements, are compliant and in line with ethical sourcing policies.

Lead the development of annual plans and budgets for the Supporter Care Team, taking key learnings from previous activity and making recommendations to facilitate income and supporter base growth. 

Keep abreast of the fundraising and / or Customer Experience marketplace to identify opportunities to enhance Comic Relief’s supporter experience.

Play an active role in the Fundraising Team, working collaboratively to support on a wide range of projects at peak periods and enabling inclusivity and diversity in order to drive high performance and an action-oriented culture.

People Management 

Line management will fluctuate throughout the year and increase during campaign periods. This includes leading recruitment and induction of new starters

Provide balanced, constructive feedback, undertake effective performance management to embed accountability and proactively support the professional development and growth of staff.

Experience of managing complex, multi-faceted, cross-organisational projects.

Our Bright Futures programme provides mentoring, employability, and wellbeing support for Gypsy, Roma and Traveller young people aged 15 – 25 years. We work directly with the young people through tailored mentoring and consistent support to build motivation, confidence, and resilience.

As a Youth Mentor on our Bright Futures team, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting young people through their personal and employment journeys. You will be a consistent positive presence in their lives, offering advice, encouragement, and a listening ear to enable young people to navigate challenges and transform their future.

Being a Bright Futures Youth Mentor involves:

· Building trust-based relationships with young mentees

· Providing 1:1 mentoring and support to our young mentees on navigating challenges and achieving aspirations

· Guiding young mentees in exploring their interests and accessing training and employment opportunities

· Monitoring, recording and reporting on mentee/s journey and progress
