Summary of role: This is a varied role which will see the successful applicant working outside on practical grounds maintenance and conservation tasks in some of the most beautiful parts of the Colne Valley.

You will be joining the Green Team who carry out a range of projects across the Colne Valley Regional Park. These include nature reserve management, grounds maintenance, corporate volunteering events, volunteering events for the public, hard landscaping tasks, and conducting Green Skills Courses to educate long-term unemployed individuals. Your role will assist in the delivery of this work.

About the role

An exciting brand new role in a busy supporter experience team you are responsible for delivering income growth, leading on fundraising campaign delivery including acquisition and retention activities.

Managing a team of two (an officer and an assistant) you will be overseeing the team day to day as, together, you develop creative campaigns working alongside the rest of the fundraising and communications team. Your team will be at the forefront of telling survivor's stories to our supporters and working closely with the survivor directorate.

Our bank of retention and acquisition work currently includes print appeals, digital campaigns, inserts, press ads, social media and telemarketing acquisition, online lottery, raffle and more! You will be driving new ideas, innovation and strategies with an organisation that likes to say yes!

As you direct the marketing team, it is essential you'll be able to use your fundraising knowledge to edit copy and feedback on campaigns based on your experience of how to uplift response. This knowledge will be developed in your ongoing regular work monitoring the teams results and performance, putting these learnings into action with the creative, data and planning decisions that you make. Linking creative decisions with data and analysis is key and we welcome the new ideas that brings. Of course, it is also essential for the Fundraising and Marketing Manager to be knowledgeable with up to date compliance and data regulations.

It is essential you have great communication and people skills with experience of managing a busy workload and a busy team working to deadlines.

About the role 

Our passionate Regional Casework Coordinators are SSAFA’s front line of support for members of the armed forces community in need. They are the first point of contact for all beneficiaries into the Regional Office, assessing needs and allocating the case to one of our volunteer caseworkers. 

You will sometimes handle complex problems from individuals who may be distressed, identifying the presenting and potential underlying needs to determine the best way to support the beneficiary. You will have ownership of cases from beginning to end, coordinating the casework process in a timely manner and ensure that the beneficiary journey is at the centre of the Service. You will have the opportunity to shape processes and procedures within the office which will lead to improvements in the service offered to clients.

To help you establish yourself in this new post you will receive excellent training and induction to SSAFA. 

Whilst the post is homebased, to be eligible for this role you are required to live in the South East region, which includes: Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Guernsey, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Jersey, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Sussex.

There will be occasional travel around the South East Region and you may be required to travel at short notice for face to face meetings.

About the team 

The team work remotely and pride themselves in maintaining a close working bond which ensures the smooth operation of the office. You will work closely with volunteers from the ten SSAFA branches in the South East, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The wider support team includes a Casework Manager and a Regional Operations Support Manager. 

About you 

To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing welfare advice in key areas such as, housing benefits, debt, disability, mobility or immigration issues. You will have knowledge of safeguarding and GDPR and experience in dealing with sensitive information and people in vulnerable situations. You will be able to provide excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. It is important that you have experience of planning and managing your own workload, with minimal supervision.

It would be advantageous if you have an understanding of the way of life for today’s Armed Forces, veterans and their families and if you have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers. An understanding of the voluntary sector and preferably the military charity sector landscape across the South East Region would be valuable.

As part of a team, you will help build an active local community presence to support the Campaigns aims in key locations across England. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, excellent organisation, logistical and administrative skills, with a strong commitment to the aims of the Campaign.

What is the overall purpose of the role?

At Youth Action Alliance, our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea and neighbouring boroughs, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present, and promote their ambitions for the future.

The Staying Connected project provides weekly one-to-one and group support for young people aged 11 - 19 years, facing multiple challenges. Person Specification

Knowledge & Experience

The Staying Connected Support Worker will bring:

• Minimum Youth Work and/or Mentoring Qualification Level 3
• Experience in the charity sector, the voluntary sector, or the community sector would be desirable.
• Management experience
• Experience working with children, young people and vulnerable adults
• Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, and the ability to use databases for recording and reporting.
• Excellent time-keeper and manages own time effectively to keep to deadlines
• Excellent Literacy – you will have excellent communication skills, including writing skills.
• Have good interpersonal skills and some experience of engaging with a diverse group of people, including young people and vulnerable adults.
• Qualification of Health, wellbeing, and/or advocacy

CLAPA supports people affected by cleft to take control of their journey, connect with others, and use their voices to impact the future of care. Our vision is that no one affected by cleft lip and palate in the United Kingdom will go through their journey alone.

The Family Services Coordinator is responsible for providing families (parents/carers and children up to ten years) affected by cleft with opportunities to access accurate information, connect with each other and form supportive communities. They will champion CLAPA volunteers and will lead on the development and effective delivery of our volunteering strategy.

The TACT London & The East Administration Manager will be an integral member of the Management Team with operational responsibility for three highly dedicated and experienced administrative staff. Joining the team now will mean you will be integral to reviewing existing systems and processes and ensuring administrative tasks consistently facilitate activities for social work colleagues, carers, children and young people. 

The Administration Manager will be experienced in leading a small team who work digitally using the Microsoft Office Suite while being fully home based. The Administration team undertake a wide range of admin tasks including crucial compliance processes, timely statutory reporting, regular minute taking, event organising, fostering panel administration, team wellbeing activities, and coordination of essential communications and much more. 

Working closely with the Area and Deputy Area Managers, and in accordance with regulatory and safeguarding requirements, the Administration Manager will role model Our Values with a collaborative approach, and curiosity, to aid innovation while coordinating all admin activities including cover for and gaps and absences. The ideal candidate will receive expert management support, wrap-around wellbeing services, and in-house management training and development opportunities. The Administration Manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve services and contribute to the continuous development of a high functioning admin team that is essential for the growth of our smooth running social work and carer services across the TACT London & The East Area.
