As a Family Separation Mentor, you will be providing emotional support and guidance to dads who are going through family separation, navigating child-arrangements within the family court system and need support with their mental well-being; especially those who may be experiencing suicidal ideation.
You will manage a caseload of clients and offer guidance with goal setting, communication skills, understanding their situation, planning child arrangements and preparing for family court proceedings, as well as building a positive co-parenting relationship.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support a caseload of clients via regular phone conversations/teams calls offering appropriate guidance, building professional relationships and answering their queries. This may occasionally be face to face support*
- Answering inbound calls on the mentoring helpline to register and support new clients.
- Support clients with their mental wellbeing, through the use of, but not limited to, WEMWBS, Suicide Risk Assessments and Safety Plans.
- Being able to promote and signpost to other departments within Dads Unlimited to ensure our clients receive the support they require.
- Signposting and liaising with external organisations where appropriate, such as; Social Services, Mental Health Services, Police, Local Authority and Cafcass.
- Help promote and facilitate our Co-Parenting Workshop and Court Ready Workshop to our clients.
- General administration relating to client cases.

As an IDVA, you will be able to effectively work with men experiencing domestic abuse, and supporting them to increase their safety and reduce harm. You will be providing high-quality, front-line service to prioritise risk, primarily focusing on males aged 18+.
You will initiate, develop, maintain and monitor multi-agency links through attending meetings such as MARAC and DA (Domestic Abuse) Forums to keep safety central to all services for men suffering/have suffered domestic abuse. You will specialise and be a leading practitioner for Male victims of domestic abuse; providing advice, guidance and single point of contact for male victims. Be willing to co-facilitate workshops across the service to ensure all clients are given the relevant advice in a timely manner.
You will be confident in your DVPO, DAPO, Occupational, restraining and Non-Molestation order knowledge. Be competent in completing the following forms- DASH (Domestic abuse, Stalking and ‘honour’ based abuse), UPOA (Understanding Picture of abuse), UPOAP (Understanding Picture of a Perpetrator) and safety plans.
Focus on and prioritise high, medium and low risk cases and provide a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service, through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support. Work with victims of domestic abuse to assist them in accessing services to keep them and their children safe.
Understand the legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults, including the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board. Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including exploration of legal and civil options, housing, health and finance.
Support clients through the family and/or criminal justice system.
Maintain accurate and confidential case management records and contribute to monitoring information for the service including producing statistics, as required.
Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures, as well as all legislation connected to your work. Remain up-to-date and comply with organisational procedures, policies and professional codes of conduct - uphold standards of best practice.

We are a co-produced mental health charity working across Camden and Islington. We support people with mental health conditions into training, volunteering, and employment opportunities. People can access our services via our Clubhouse, where they can share their skills and expertise with others and support the running of the charity. Alternatively, they can receive support out in the community from one of our employment specialists based within primary and secondary care.
As well as Recovery support, our clubhouse provides a dedicated employment support Information, Advice and Guidance service to Islington residents with mental health needs from our community base in North Road. The IAG team provides employment support to assist clients find employment, remain in work or return to work. This takes the form of personalised support based on an individual action plan detailing the client’s agreed employment goals and actions.
OVERALL AIM
Working in collaboration with the Hillside Clubhouse Recovery project, the Employment Advisor team utilises the structured activity programme to help residents build confidence and transferable skills in a supportive setting. EAs work one-to-one with a caseload of around 40-50 people referred through various routeways including self-referrals, providing information, advice and guidance to empower clients to make better decisions about their career options and working lives, as well as signpost clients to other relevant support agencies, as appropriate.
This role would suit someone with a background in employment support, psychology, counselling, human resources, recruitment, or a desire to transfer their skills into the mental health support sector.

Assert is a small team of advocates working as a project within Mental Health Resource charity and as part of the Kent Advocacy partnership. We provide high quality, issue-based advocacy and statutory IMHA services to individuals affected by mental health problems, often detained in medium and low secure units and in acute inpatient settings. We also provide community advocacy in West Kent, Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley.It can be a tough job, but in return you will receive competitive pay, training, benefits and have the support of a strong team. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and show confidence and assertiveness when required. You will be passionate about mental health advocacy. Ideally, you will have experience of working as an advocate, and if you are not qualified as an IMHA, you will be expected to undertake training. The IMHA training takes approx. 1 year. *

JOB SUMMARY
To provide statutory issue-based advocacy to people detained in acute psychiatric hospitals and forensic hospitals/rehab units across West Kent and community advocacy to people with mental health difficulties in the community in West Kent, ensuring that their views, wishes and needs are taken into account and expressed and heard.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To provide independent mental health advocacy to eligible patients in accordance with the provisions Mental Health Act 2007 as amended and as detailed in the Code of Practice to the Act
2. To provide independent, issue-based advocacy in the community as appropriate.
3. Ascertain the needs and wishes of clients and act only under instruction of clients.
4. To telephone and meet with clients on the ward or another convenient location to help them prepare for meetings and to attend appointments with them to speak on their behalf if required, take notes and ensure that they understand the proceedings.
5. To help clients understand what is being considered around their care, treatment and support and the impact of any decisions made.
6. For independent mental health advocacy, to explain to people what their options and rights are and to support them to communicate their wishes so that they can participate as fully as possible in the decisions affecting their care.
7. To liaise with, and on occasion to challenge, NHS, care professionals or local authorities as appropriate to ensure that due processes have been followed.
8. To raise any safeguarding issues in line with Mental Health Resource’s policy and procedures.
9. To maintain accurate and timely records of all interactions with clients in accordance with statutory requirements, relevant legislation and in line with the requirements of our funders.
10. To meet monthly targets for chargeable work, by service delivery and accurately recording details of work completed on the database in a timely manner.
11. To provide information, reports and statistics as required.
12. To develop and share good practice and learning with colleagues and contribute to the promotion of a culture of continuous service improvement and support.

The Junction is an out of hours service, open 365 evenings a year, to support and assist individuals experiencing a mental health concern. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Accommodation Advocate working within our North West safe-houses. This role includes providing Service Users with emotional and practical support; advocating on their behalf, communicating with other organisations including but not limited to health professionals, legal representation and the Home office. About the Service
This is a pilot working as a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) with housing teams and Drug and Alcohol Services across District and Borough councils. These teams will be working with individuals who are presenting as homeless and have a number of Complex Needs.
Purpose of Post
Providing advice, information, onward referral and holistic support to clients who are experiencing mental ill health or need support with their mental wellbeing. These will be clients who are presenting to District and Borough councils as homeless and need intervention and support with their mental health and remain a source of independent support for all clients. Ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the client is monitored and reviewed regularly and that a person centred recovery orientated and trauma informed approach is embedded approach in all aspects of the roles.
Service Objectives
- To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental ill health.
- To increase early access to help for people experiencing mental ill health in, by providing a clear and effective pathway to services provided by Herts Mind Network and other third sector and statutory providers.
- To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
- To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
- To reduce the use of police, ASB, tenancy enforcement, housing needs and environmental health services by clients whose primary need is related to mental ill health.
- To reduce the use of crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.
- To provide an assertive outreach approach for clients who are in crisis and/ or those that may have complex or multiple needs.
- To work collaboratively within an MDT consisting of CGL, District and Borough councils, housing teams and other professionals.

We are recruiting for a Duty Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Duty IGVA) who will be working closely with survivors of domestic, and other gender-based abuse to provide high quality independent support to survivors all risk levels and their children.
In this role you will be part of a busy team. You will be the first point of contact for survivors who have been referred to the Gaia Centre. The duty IGVA will be responding to daily enquiries over the phone and email as well as contacting survivors, assessing their risks and needs. You will also be responsible for carrying out and implementing safety plans and needs and will ensure an effective handover to the over to the relevant GAIA team for ongoing support.
The duty IGVA will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support. The Opportunity
WorkWell is a government funded programme that offers an early-intervention work and health support and assessment service. This provides holistic support to overcome health-related barriers to employment, and a single, joined-up gateway to other support services.
We work in partnership with mental and/or physical health clinical teams, GP practices and other referral partners who refer clients who are currently in employment but are experiencing difficulties in the workplace and require assistance to help them return to work, remain in work or find new employment. This programme will also support those who have fallen out of work to get the support they need to return to employment. That support will be tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.
We need a team of four Work and Health Coaches to provide highly effective support to individuals and guide them on their journey to returning, remaining or finding new employment while also supporting them to improve their health and wellbeing. The Work and Health Coach will also be instrumental in supporting participants to remove health related barriers by sourcing and funding appropriate interventions.
There is a total of four roles, with three full time and one part time, Work and Health Coaches.
Who we are:
Founded in 1992 by a group of mental health professionals, Working Well Trust was established to address the issue of low employment rates for people who have experienced mental health issues. Since starting we have seen advances in the specialist support offered to people seeking employment and a change in cultural attitudes towards mental health.
In the last few years we have adapted this approach to work with people with Autism (ASD), people with learning difficulties, physical disabilities or complex issues including homelessness or addiction.
We focus on four main areas:
Employment Support – offering support that meets the individual’s needs using both the traditional stepped approach and the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model.
Employer support – enabling the recruitment and retention of their employees.
Social Enterprises – we offer training within social enterprises for people who want to gain a new skill, increase their confidence and be part of a team.
Business and Enterprise support – providing one to one advice to clients who wish to start up or expand an enterprise.
Co-production - Working Well remains committed to the principles of the recovery model and continuously improve its services through co-production.

This role will deliver tailored, one to one support and case work to support and resolve both immediate, crisis situations experienced by people and on a longer-term basis in the community. In the main people we support are Irish or of Irish descent including the Traveller Community. However, our services are open to all.
Additionally, part of the role will include working across the project team and wider role of ICCM in early intervention and prevention. Informing and supporting community-based advocacy, awareness, and public campaigns to inform and increase knowledge and education of the community on how to access help, and the availability of support which is open to people as needs develop. Thus, increasing the wider public and social value of ICCM and brining more service users in to receive one to one support when needed.
This will attract and support our community by making our services local, appropriate, and accessible to those who mainly do not access mainstream services. This will include advocacy and representative services in order for people to secure welfare benefits, enabling people to access the financial benefits they are entitled to.
This will support people experiencing mental and physical health issues, substance misuse, facing legal issues, those who require debt management, threatened with eviction, domestic abuse, and bereavement. This will be done mainly on an outreach basis across Manchester, supporting people in their own homes, in care homes, hospital and where they are resettled to their home environment.
The overall aim of the service is to improve quality of life, access to appropriate support services and improved health and wellbeing outcomes by acting as an advocate and to negotiate with other agencies, where necessary, on our client’s behalf.
Key Responsibilities:
- To make contact with members of the Irish and Traveller communities across Manchester.
- To provide Advocacy and Support via outreach, accompanying to appointments, advocacy to other agencies to address presenting needs who are vulnerable and ‘at risk’ through age, poor physical or mental health, homelessness, risk of homelessness, drug and alcohol use, offending, abuse, and social and cultural isolation.
- Undertake an initial assessment of service users’ needs, presenting issues and risks and to develop a care plan working alongside other statutory and voluntary agencies.
- To offer comprehensive information, advocacy, advice and support services to our community to meet individual needs and achieve positive outcomes.
- Make referrals to statutory and community and voluntary organisations working in partnership to achieve the best level of care and support.
- Develop care plans in order to improve the health of our communities, working with service users and relevant agencies
- To attend and participate in meetings and forums highlighting community issues, cultural needs and experiences.

About the role:
Our Health team has an exciting opportunity for two people to join the team. One of these roles will be a permanent position focused in our North London TST team, and one fixed term appointment (12 months) to join our team in a Camden focusing on Mental Health, with an emphasis on improving the barriers faced by those experiencing homelessness when accessing health care.
As a Health Lead, your role will focus on developing and embedding SHPs health approach into the services the charity provides. It will involve working with and supporting those living within our hostels who have underlying health needs to access and maintain the health care they need. To complete initial health screening tools, create a health support profile plan for each client and to make referrals to and support them in engaging with the correct services (i.e. dentistry, podiatry). In this role you will complete health mapping and use this information to influence partnerships formed with external services to help overcome barriers faced by those experiencing homelessness.
The approach taken with clients will be psychologically informed, incorporating an understanding of Personality Disorder, complex trauma and addiction. The outcomes for your role, include developing positive and sustained relationships of trust with clients, supporting them to engage in health care support and see an improvement in their overall physical health.
About you:
To be successful, you will have:
- A knowledge of (or willingness to learn) about common health issues and the barriers to health access that people experiencing homelessness may encounter.
- Ability to find ways to engage and develop relationships with clients who may have a low level of interaction with and/or suspicion of services.
- Good understanding of local level health set up/services i.e. homeless health providers and teams.
- Confidence in working both as part of a team and independently.
- Skills and understanding of creating and monitoring support plans and record-keeping with regards to client support, safety and safeguarding issues.
