Summary
The role is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding individual to join the Philanthropy and Partnerships team at Diabetes UK. With more people living with diabetes and millions more at risk of developing Type 2, our work has never been more needed. You will lead on delivering Diabetes UK's corporate partnerships programme, working with a broad range of significant partners including Slimming World, Abbott and our award winning Tesco health partnership.
Leading a team you will implement robust account plans to maximise value generation from existing partnerships to support the achievement of shared strategic goals and work with the wider philanthropy and partnerships team to develop appropriate stewardship and engagement plans, communications and materials to retain and uplift partners support. This is an exciting time to join the charity as we look to strengthen and grow our partnerships in support of our breakthrough programmes of work.

Main Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Lead on strategic partnerships development overall for Diabetes UK, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver against partnership goals and deliver sustained income growth year on year
- Account manage a small number of key strategic partnerships for Diabetes UK
- Work with the team to ensure that partnership best practice is upheld, ensuring that governance frameworks maximise value from strategic partnerships and help with risk management and mitigation
- Work closely with our leadership team to maximise value from partnerships and develop existing and new senior volunteer relationships to help with partnership development
- Be externally focused, networking on a regular basis with current and potential funders, maintaining excellent knowledge of key business sectors

Ideal Candidate
To be an excellent Senior Corporate Partnerships Account Manager you will need:
- Previous experience in a corporate account management role developing and retaining significant corporate and commercial partnerships through effective and confident relationship building within large and complex organisations.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the principles of charity/corporate partnerships and adept at problem solving and identifying creative solutions
- Excellent communicator and relationship builder with a positive attitude, highly organised and capable of managing a diverse workload

Main Purpose of the role:
1. Manage the planning, recruitment and delivery of our Ealing Young Champions Youth Voice project
2. Advocate for and embed youth voice into the work of partners, stakeholders and members and identify new opportunities to develop youth voice and co-production programmes
3. Work with colleagues to set a strategy for embedding co-production in YEF’s organisational practice
4. To provide project management and support on youth engagement with the Greenford Library project

About you
You will be responsible for supporting the strategic development of our publications, including journals and an open research platform. They will be responsible for generating high-quality content in our titles and support the ongoing movement toward open science. The post holder will ensure we support the microbiology community in our publishing activities, working closely with colleagues, external stakeholders with microbiologists in academia, industry, and infection science environments.
The Publishing Editor will also support and manage editors and editorial boards, monitoring performance and running recruitment as and where required.
The successful candidate will have experience in academic publishing, the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders at different levels and, have working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications.

Worldwide Veterinary Service is searching for a dedicated and enthusiastic person to lead on spearheading the Young Vets Club membership programme, an animal welfare club aimed at children aged 6 -12.
This exciting role will involve leading on the promotion and expansion of the programme, including developing longer-term strategies to grow the membership and working with others within the team to create content for the next generation of animal lovers and veterinarians.

A small, well-established London-based not for profit membership body is seeking a Finance Manager for a full-time permanent role. The salary is £47,867 - £50,813 per annum, with the organisation usually looking to appoint at the entry level point on the salary scale.
Reporting to a Finance Director and managing a Finance Officer, the role is largely a business-as-usual finance role covering management accounts preparation, managing budgets with department heads, bank reconciliations & transactional finance and leading on all aspects of accounting for 2 very small related charitable entities.
The role offers hybrid working, with an average of 40% of the working week (including Thursdays) required to be onsite at the central London office, with the rest of the time from home.
The role would best suit a candidate experienced at Finance Manager level, with prior experience in a small charity or small membership body.
Duties include:
- Prepare draft management accounts for the main body and one of the small related charitable entities ensuring that they comply with accounting standards.
- Contribute to the preparation of the annual budget.
- Assist with the audit and lead on the audit for one of the small related charitable entities.
- Present financial management information in a concise and easily understandable format for inclusion in Board reports.
- Prepare reports for budget holders summarising spend in their area.
- Prepare monthly accruals and prepayments and manage all monthly reconciliations.
- Record investment transactions for the main organisation and the 2 related charitable entities.
- Develop financial transaction processing to improve efficiency and facilitate meeting reporting deadlines.
- Record all credit card transactions and produce the annual HMRC calculations for compliance with PAYE Settlement Agreement.
- Work with staff at 1 of the related entities to process sales, purchase and nominal ledger transactions for that organisation, along with supporting with other areas of transactional finance.
- Oversee accounting entries for the second related entity and ensure balance sheet reconciles
- Lead on the implementation of online expenses and credit card systems
- Line manage the work of the Finance Officer.
Candidate requirements:
- Graduate level education and at least a part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA or ACCA)
- Sound knowledge of management accounting and budgeting principles and methodology
- Ability to and experience of independently preparing draft accounts to management accounts level
- The ability to present Management Information in a visual and easy to understand way to a variety of stakeholders
- Experience of Sage accounts package, including the interface with Excel, and of CRM systems (desirable not essential)
- Experience of maximising the benefits of technology to present management information
- Knowledge of online expenses and credit card systems
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work both individually and as part of a team

We are seeking an experienced Business Manager to lead the efficient and effective management of the PSHE Association’s business and services, including oversight of the business pipeline and financial functions.
The PSHE Association is the national body for PSHE (personal, social, health and economic) education – the school curriculum subject that supports children and young people's mental and physical health, relationships, safety, economic wellbeing and careers.
A charity and membership organisation, the Association supports a national network of over 50,000 teachers and schools with resources, training, guidance and advice. We work nationally to raise PSHE education standards for all children including in partnership with a range of leading charities, government bodies, corporates and other partners. This is an exciting time for us as we are expanding our services to meet growing demand.
Working in close collaboration with our two Directorates, this role will require the post-holder to lead on and manage new bids, tenders and proposals, and to support the ongoing project management of successful contracts and grants. The Business Manager will also play a key role in supporting the Training and Events Team and Subject Specialist team in developing a new on-demand training offer via our Learning Management System (LMS).
The post is offered on a full time (32 hours per week), permanent basis with a six-month probationary period. The PSHE Association is a shorter working week employer meaning that employees work a nine-day fortnight with every second Friday off.
Purpose
- To lead the efficient and effective running of the PSHE Association’s business and workstreams, including leading and supporting the Directorates in the delivery of our services
- To oversee the pipeline and financial functions, working closely with our accountants and office manager
- To lead the development of submissions for bids/tenders and proposals for clients, and provide project management support for roll-out and delivery of successful bids
- To work with the senior leadership team to develop new services in priority growth areas, undertake market research, and support implementation of new services
- To oversee the operations of our training and events offer, including leading and supporting the operations team to fulfil its duties in these areas and ensure successful integration of any new or improved systems and processes
- To implement and maintain systems and processes that optimise efficiency across the organisation
- To work with the senior leadership team on ensuring a strategic approach to business and operations that optimises our ability to serve and grow our membership and member services
Required experience
We expect applicants to demonstrate relevant experience in the following areas:
- Business management or a similar role in a charity, membership body, or a relevant sector (e.g. education, health, services for children and young people)
- Managing budgets, business pipelines, performance measures, and financial reporting on income and expenditure
- Drafting bids, tenders or funding applications
- Managing contracts and/or grants from drafting through to ongoing project management, completion and evaluation
