• Oversee the quality of external relationships, engaging with specific stakeholders as needed to form strategic alliances
• Identify key areas of policy focus where the BES is able to add value to national conversations around biodiversity and climate
• Co-ordinate the policy team on consultation responses, parliamentary inquiries, policy reports, and other policy documents and meetings.
• Lead the Policy Team to prioritise work across the three nations, rising to the challenge of responding to opportunities as they arise, and ensuring that we are always working to strategic effect.

The role

We are seeking a fundraiser or an experienced account manager who relishes the excitement of exceeding income targets and developing strong relationships. You will identify opportunities to increase the value of your partnership portfolio and work closely with the Corporate Development Team to ensure the transition between new business and account management is seamless for both FareShare and our partners.

You will manage a portfolio of partners: designing and delivering tailored partnership plans and an innovative and personalised suite of partnership activity. You will work with colleagues across fundraising to ensure we maximise the value of our partnerships. We currently have partnerships with a large variety of exciting brands from Tesco to Oliver Bonas, McDonalds to Subway, Kellogg’s to Pink Lady apples and Bloomberg to Burberry – our partners support us in a variety of ways including cause related marketing campaigns, staff and customer fundraising, corporate donations and wider sponsorships and partnerships.

To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of excellent partnership/relationship management and ideally have experience of delivering a variety of fundraising partnerships including commercial brand licensing. You will have excellent communication skills and will be comfortable negotiating bespoke deals and benefits packages and will lead renewal plans to secure and grow the support of current partners.

Cross team collaboration is crucial to the role and you will be able to demonstrate strong relationship building and influencing skills.

Main areas of responsibility

1. Deliver first rate account management of corporate partnerships and promotions with existing corporate partners to achieve objectives and build excellent relationships that facilitate future growth.

• Provide a high standard of professional relationship and account management to a portfolio of partners, delivering a mix of partnership types including; Charity of the Year, commercial brand partnerships/campaigns and retail partnerships
• Working with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager and wider team to implement bespoke cultivation and stewardship strategies for each corporate partner, that encourage development of strategic, multi-faceted partnerships thinking creatively and entrepreneurially to maximise the value of each partnership and meet agreed targets and KPIs
• Ensure FareShare’s strategic priorities are addressed through our partnerships and that the brand is protected and appropriately valued
• Prepare and deliver engaging and confident presentations (both at one-to-one level and at a much larger scale)
• Establish, agree and monitor key milestones for each relationship
• Ensure that benefits are fulfilled and delivered on time
• Monitor and maintain systems and processes; including Salesforce database, financial accounting, pipeline, contracts and due diligence.

2. Work closely with internal project teams to maximise the potential for fundraising

• Work with the Corporate New Business function on the development of new partnerships and to ensure a smooth transition from new business to account management
• Work with other areas of Fundraising, the Food Team and Operations Team to maximise possibilities for partners and FareShare and to report to partners in a timely manner
• Work with Marketing and Communications Team to promote partnerships across FareShare and partner channels.

3. Legal, Compliance & Policies

• Efficient and effective management of commercial income activity ensuring compliance with GDPR, legal and charity regulation and FareShare’s own Ethical Gift Policy
• Manage all legal and financial aspects of partnership agreements
• Manage and work within FareShare’s IT systems and data guidelines
• Represent Fundraising where required on internal working groups
• Undertake training and skills development and keep up to date with the changing requirements of the role
• Undertake other duties as required

The role

We have recently set a new 3-year strategy, leading to a major transformation of the organisation. To support this, we are building a new Project Delivery function and investing in key capabilities, including project management and business analysis. As our digital communications and engagement manager, you’ll take an editorial role in ensuring our website is accessible and regularly updated with relevant and engaging content. You’ll lead on scheduling the send out of newsletter, advocacy, and fundraising emails to our mailing list and ensure they’re as engaging as they can be. And you’ll use our software to create digital tools allowing our supporters to take meaningful action.

Whether it’s donating to our cause or emailing local politicians, you’ll be the person who inspires people to take action on climate.

In our small comms team, there is a lot of crossover between roles, so you will also occasionally be asked to pitch into other functions across the team such as social media and press, and take joint responsibility for some of our administrative work. But don’t worry, we can train you up on this!

Working with others in the Possible team, you’ll take a proactive approach to deepening engagement among our existing supporters, and attracting new people to our campaigns through our website and digital tools. You’ll also be invited to contribute to general marketing, media, outreach, fundraising and campaign strategy. And everyone at Possible chips in to make the tea, take out the bins and do the washing up, or the virtual equivalent, so there’s that too.

Our core working days are Tuesdays and Wednesday, which means everyone works these days to make sure we have enough time to connect with each other. We usually work 9.30-5.30pm but staff can use flexitime to work the hours that work for them depending on the day, within reason i.e. 8-4pm or split shifts for the school run. Our all team meetings mostly run 10-1pm and smaller team meetings are usually in the afternoon.

We are looking to recruit a creative and ambitious Fundraising and Communications Manager. A key focus of the role is the development of our donor management systems and corporate partnerships, whilst providing strategic oversight of the charity’s internal and external communications. Bid-writing expertise is desirable but not essential. We are looking for a highly effective individual with demonstrable and relevant fundraising experience, as well as excellent planning, organisational and people skills. The Fundraising and Communications Manager will ensure we take a strategic approach to fundraising that ensures the charity’s income will support our growth and development in the years ahead, in line with our 2030 Strategy.

About the role

We’re looking to recruit a Communications and Media Officer to help us deliver high quality communications products and raise the profile of our work in the media. 

You might already be a Communications Officer who is looking to move into the charity sector, or an experienced Communications Assistant who is looking for your next challenge. If you share our passion for great communications, particularly using your skills to communicate impact clearly to different audiences, we want to hear from you.

Based in our busy Communications team, you will be responsible for helping to increase Impetus’ brand visibility and engage our audiences effectively, for example:

About the team

The Communications team at Impetus is a friendly, creative team that punches above its weight. Sitting alongside our brilliant Policy colleagues within the wider Public Affairs team we are passionate about communicating Impetus’ work with clarity, in a way that resonates with our audiences, and increases our influence and impact.

• Working across all teams in Impetus to support with information gathering, writing and production of flagship Impetus collateral.

• Proven experience in a communications role, particularly in a press office or working in media relations.
• A track record of writing concise and engaging content that resonates with the target audience and presents complex subjects in a clear and compelling way.
• Experience of managing the production of marketing collateral, working across teams and to agreed timescales.
• A familiarity with the news media, and demonstrable experience of developing relationships with journalists.
• An understanding of digital and social media platforms, trends and audience behaviour. 
• Collaborative style, able to build great working relationships across an organisation and with partners, working co-operatively as part of a team.

As Legal Manager, Legal Service for Independent Media, you will provide dedicated project leadership to continue to pilot the operationalization and implementation of a legal offering to support journalists and independent newsrooms, whose safety and independence are under threat.

About the Role:

As our Legal Manager, Legal Service for Independent Media, you will:

• Map evolving trends and legal threats for journalists, media freedom NGOs and independent media outlets and identify the most pressing legal gaps and needs

• Build excellent relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, including expanding our network of expert NGOs and legal teams working in the media, journalism and media freedom space

• Refine the operating model for the media-legal offering based on feedback received, including intake process, eligibility requirements, project flow, and impact monitoring mechanisms

• Work closely with our Media Freedom and Programmes team to ensure alignment and integration of the media-legal offering within the Foundation's existing media freedom work, and to identify other innovative programming, products and approaches that best leverage the Foundation’s assets

• Scope, and support the management of pro bono or low bono legal requests and cross-border research projects that address critical needs of journalists, media freedom NGOs and independent media outlets

• Scope and oversee the development of tools, resources, trainings and other content on key legal issues of relevance to journalists and independent media outlets to address threats to their safety and independence and build resilience

• Deliver and/or coordinate delivery of trainings, legal health checks and events for media freedom NGOs, journalists and/or media houses, often in partnership with the programming teams

• Support the development and implementation of a communications, engagement and outreach plan, as needed, in collaboration with the Foundation’s Communications, Social and Media Freedom teams

• Support bid development and partnership-building to ensure financial sustainability of the offering

• Carry out a variety of administrative, reporting, planning, monitoring, and logistical responsibilities linked to the project

About You

To be our Legal Manager, Legal Service for Independent Media, you will likely have:

• An LLB, with preference for a qualified lawyer or an advanced law degree

• At least five years’ experience working in the legal field, with prior experience in media law or related human rights matters, either in a law firm, media house or non-profit organisation

• Strong understanding of international standards on press freedom and/or the media law/policy landscape. Understanding of the legal needs of journalists and media outlets in the global south or Central/Eastern Europe/FSU an advantage

• Excellent project management and organisational skills including the ability to manage effectively multiple matters and projects in a fast-paced environment, with a high degree of creative and flexible thinking, and the ability to incorporate lessons learnt through pilot delivery

• Prior experience working on donor-funded projects is a plus

• Excellent research, drafting and analytical skills, with experience in training an advantage

• Excellent interpersonal skills – able to establish and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally, with people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds

• Resilience, ability to cope with high pressure and work environments and find solutions to problems when they arise – able to quickly understand complex information and communicate to non-experts

About the role

At Breast Cancer Now, we’re seeking a Senior Press & PR Officer to join our ambitious press, PR & celebrity team for 12 months. The role is focused primarily on the charity’s Fundraising portfolio, including our corporate partnerships and high-value fundraising events, all of which raise vital funds that help the charity to deliver world-class research and provide life-changing support for anyone affected by breast cancer. 

About you

As an excellent communicator, you’ll be great at building trusted and influential relationships across a range of stakeholders including colleagues, journalists, external partners and advocates and ambassadors of Breast Cancer Now. This will help you bring our work to life, working collaboratively and effectively and at pace. 

With significant experience in developing and delivering impactful PR campaigns, either in-house or in an agency, you’ll tell powerful stories around our fundraising activity to achieve cut-through in the media and drive further engagement and support (including financial) from our key audiences. 

Always putting the patient voice at the heart of our work, you’ll be innovative and creative in your approach to secure maximum profile for annual events and campaigns, building on previous years’ successes and bringing fresh angles to this work to maximise engagement with the media and key audiences. 

With strong written skills and an instinct for what makes a good news story, you’ll thrive in a fast-paced press office, and always consider how content can be integrated and delivered across communications channels for greatest impact.

The Role: As Digital Media Coordinator you'll be managing and boosting Encompass Trust’s presence on our social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, X), writing and disseminating newsletters and articles, contributing to donor reports, and keeping our website up to date. You'll create and curate engaging content, aiming to build a supportive and vibrant online community that reflects Encompass Trust’s values and supports its mission. You will work closely with our Regional staff in Israel and Palestine to source content related to Encompass Trust’s programmes, such as alumni updates, interviews, and testimonials. 

Responsibilities and key tasks:

• Develop and manage a content calendar for Encompass Trust’s social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and X.

• Create and schedule engaging posts that promote Encompass Trust’s activities and mission, ensuring a consistent and effective online presence.

• Coordinate and facilitate the writing of articles and blogs in collaboration with our regional staff and alumni.

• Attend Encompass Trust programmes to document the activities, including taking photos and carrying out interviews with participants. 

• Ensure Encompass Trust’s website is kept up-to-date.

• Support with the design and editing of reports. 

• Produce short form video content. 

Role requirements: 

Knowledge and Understanding:

• Good knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X. 

• Awareness of social media trends and their implications for engagement and content strategy.

• Knowledge of website management, including how to edit and maintain WordPress sites.

• Knowledge of peacebuilding within Israel and Palestine would be advantageous. 

Skills:

• Strong writing and content creation skills, able to produce compelling and high-quality posts and articles.

• Basic video editing and photography skills, able to shoot and edit short form video for social media.

• Competence in WordPress, able to manage and update a WordPress website.

What will I be doing?

• Working closely with the Senior Planning manager (DM), Senior Commercial and Operations manager, the Marketing performance team and marketing teams to manage the development of the annual Marketing plan, contributing to MSE budget and target setting for all marketing campaigns, channels and activities

• Line manage and mentor a team of 3 Marketing Planning Managers

• Ensure visibility and oversight across paid marketing activity, working closely with relevant stakeholders across marketing, MFE and the wider organisation to minimise campaign, audience or channel saturation

• Lead the overall strategy and plans for above the line paid media campaigns and channel strategies including but not exclusive to; AV, OOH, Digital, social and press

• Work with Marketing Performance Managers to take an insight and data-led approach to marketing planning across our CRUK audiences, channels and campaigns. Use insight to develop campaign and channel benchmarks and targets which are shared across the marketing department and reported up as required.

We are now looking for a Network Manager to join us in the North West.

FUNCTION: Delivering our successful mentoring programmes in Merseyside, with some work across the wider NW region also.

WHERE THE ROLE FITS: Reporting to: North Senior Network Manager

WHAT WE DO

Young people from lower income families are 40% less likely to go to University than wealthier peers (Dept for Education, 2020) which can have a lifelong impact on earning potential. Covid-19 has deepened inequalities (Social Mobility Foundation, 2022) and negatively impacted on young people's wellbeing (GirlGuiding, 2020). We believe that no girls should have their futures limited by their gender, sex, ethnicity, background, or parental income and they should be supported to realise their ambitions, to discover their self-worth, and to develop their capacity to shape their world and their futures.

We work in communities of least advantage across England to deliver two core programmes to achieve this vision. Through our mentoring programme we connect 14-19 year old girls with a mentor and a wider network of role models who are women and deliver opportunities which help them to build life skills and nurture their ambitions. Based on the idea that 'you can't be what you can't see', our mentors often help girls to broaden their horizons and create a more positive vision of their futures. After the programme, the mentees can join a free, lifelong network of support - our Ambassador Community, which offers further opportunities to reach their goals, build their confidence and to share their voices and experiences.

Our programmes help girls and young women to develop the knowledge, skills, self-belief and opportunities to thrive, and to be supported as part of a network that champions them and ensures their voices are heard.

THE ROLE

This is an exciting role joining a Programme Team of 15 staff based throughout the UK. There is a small team of three based in the South. You will work closely and collaborate with the other Network Managers and share some priorities across the region, working to develop the region as a whole. The purpose of this role is to facilitate good relationships between the mentors and mentees in the region. 70-80% of the role is about relationship building (with schools, mentors and partners), coordination and the tracking/ administration of those relationships. 15-20% of the role is direct delivery with the girls in the region. You will play a crucial role setting up our Autumn 121 mentoring programmes, liaising with schools, recruiting mentors and ensuring that we have the right mentors for the mentees on programme. You will also deliver our workshop programme within the area.

Mentoring programme

• Manage overall success of the cohorts (groups of mentees and mentors) in your region, including coordinating and administering events and communications for cohorts in your area.
• Deliver engaging on-boarding sessions for mentees.
• Deliver events and workshops for mentees.
• Deliver matching of mentees and mentors at in-person events or virtually.
• Work with the wider programme team to train mentors.
• Support mentors once matched through regular check-ins, monthly emails and ad-hoc conversations.
• Collect data to track the progress, and impact of, mentoring relationships.
• Support mentors with safeguarding concerns, following The Girls’ Network. process in line with our child protection policy.
• Develop effective relationships with schools, on-boarding, supporting and retaining the partnerships.

• Work with the Senior Network Manager in your area to identify professional partnerships and sponsorship with local and national businesses.
• Work with your Senior Network Manager to identify a recruitment and retention plan for your area including key partners to work with.
• Be an active presence in the community, attending events and networks to encourage local women to mentor on our programme.
