We are seeking a relational, engaging, creative individual, with a proven track record in an external communications or campaigns role to lead our small Engagement Team.
In this role you would be responsible for:
- Development, management and implementation of the Communications Strategy for Interserve GBI and its publications;
- Ensuring that communications and information-flow across the organisation are effective and co-ordinated;
- Oversight of the work of the Engagement Team in linking with churches and individuals;
- Management of Interserve’s fundraising approach, donor relations and activities;
- Building an effective online and social media presence that supports the objectives of engagement, including appropriately targeted media traffic that best serves Interserve’s different audiences.

The Role
The Marketing and Communications Manager role at SEO London presents an exciting opportunity for a proactive professional to work in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Strategy Development and Execution
· Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy that aligns with the organisation’s mission, vision, and objectives.
· Conduct market research to understand target audiences and adjust strategies accordingly.
· Further develop our plan for B2B marketing.
Business-to-business marketing
· Execute a B2B marketing strategy aligned with SEO London’s goals and objectives.
· Create and manage multi-channel campaigns, including social media, email marketing, and PR, to boost SEO London’s visibility amongst existing and potential corporate sponsor firms.

About James’ Place
James’ Place Charity was set up by Clare Milford Haven and Nick Wentworth-Stanley in 2008 after their twenty-one-year-old son, James, died by suicide ten days after a minor operation. James had no history of mental illness or depression and had sought urgent help for anxiety and suicidal thoughts, but didn’t find it.
James' Place was set up to make the experience of finding help as easy as possible. James’ Place offers men who are experiencing a suicidal crisis a brief, intensive, therapeutic intervention in a safe environment. Men who walk through the door at James’ Place will be in a space where they feel valued and respected.
The first James’ Place opened in June 2018 in Liverpool, the first of its kind in the UK, and has to date supported more than 2,300 men experiencing suicidal crisis through our innovative and safe therapeutic intervention. We provide a calm and peaceful environment both inside the centre and in our landscaped garden, accessible to men who visit us as well as their friends and families.
In 2022 we opened a new centre in London and in early in 2023 we launched an appeal to raise over £10m to fund three more centres across the country. Our third centre opened in Newcastle at the beginning of 2024, and we are currently raising funds to open a James’ Place in Brimingham.
The Fundraising and Communications team
We are a small team with big ambitions. The team comprises a Head of Fundraising and Communications, two Fundraising Managers, a Senior Communications Manager and a Senior Outreach Officer. • Generate creative and impactful written content targeting a range of audiences, across a range of channels, to raise awareness and engagement with our cause

The Directorate
The Communications Team sits within the Marketing and Communications (MarComms) Team. The MarComms Team builds brand awareness and engagement among the public, builds our profile with the media and key stakeholders, and supports fundraising activities to generate fundraising income to keep the service running. The team also engages, motivates and unites staff across the organisation to help KSS deliver on its purpose and achieve its vision of an end to preventable loss of life from medical emergency.

- Lead on the digital experience strategy for the organisation. Using insight to design, implement, test, measure and optimise as needed.
- Product Ownership of the website experience and content strategy for the site, liaising with internal stakeholders as needed.

AKF(UK) Partnerships Managers are part of the Global Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Partnerships team tasked with identifying and cultivating new funding partnerships and strengthening existing ones to support our strategic goals. They engage with European and Asian government, foundation, and corporate donors to mobilise resources for ten multisector profit and not-for-profit agencies of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) operating across Asia and Africa. In addition, Partnership Managers are responsible for a portfolio of select grants implementing across AKDN themes and geographies in close collaboration with field units, global teams, and our partners.

4.1 Securing resources
- Coordinate, facilitate, and lead the development, review, and quality assurance of expressions of interest, concept notes and full proposals for funding opportunities;
- Liaise and coordinate with internal stakeholders as well as with donors, partners, and consortia to facilitate project design, align proposal and donor requirements, gather required legal and administrative documentation, and draft sections of proposals as needed;
- Coordinate processes of contracting and negotiation, engaging relevant stakeholders, and ensuring contracts ‘get over the line’ in a timely and efficient way;
- When needed, provide direct hands-on support at field level in design of concept notes, proposals, and budgets and conduct donor or field visits to support discussions with new and existing donors/partners;

- Manage and monitor a portfolio of grants through regular interface and coordination with AKF(UK)’s partnerships team, AKF(UK)’s finance team and relevant AKF/AKDN agencies/field units, acting as a central resource for field units in donor best practice;
- Interface with donors and communicate on a regular basis about the implementation of on-going grants to ensure strong, enduring relationships;
- Ensure strong relationship cultivation throughout the grants cycle, anticipate, and plan for future funding and project extensions;
- Oversight, coordination, review, and quality assurance of donor deliverables (e.g. work plans, monitoring and evaluation plans, staffing plans, budgets, close-out plans, donor troubleshooting);
- Ensure adherence with donor requirements, rules, and regulations, and that grant deliverables are produced on time and to a high standard;
- Coordinate contractual amendments, changes, and project adaptations, engage with donors in a pro-active and diplomatic way, and flag potential changes (e.g. budget revisions, extensions, risks) in advance to ‘trouble shoot’ and ensure smooth project implementation;
- Facilitate grant monitoring efforts including routine coordination meetings, donor steering committees, donor project visits, and donor monitoring missions;
- Undertake coordination and administrative tasks related to grants and support the maintenance and update of grant management tools and tracking systems such as AIMS.
4.3 Donor engagement and positioning
- Support the partnership unit in researching, sourcing relevant information, and performing analysis of market trends on new donors, peer organisations, and funding opportunities to identify potential funding and partnering matches for AKF and AKDN priorities;
- Work with country teams, AKDN agencies, and the Global Programmes Team (GPT) to identify, build, and support strategic partnerships on aligned global and regional initiatives, innovations and themes with likeminded donors and partners;
- Develop positioning materials (e.g. presentations, capability statements, briefs, talking points), collaborating with communications teams, to enable effective donor engagement;
- Engage with new and existing donors and partners to identify solicited and unsolicited funding opportunities;
- Guide teams to make informed, effective decisions on which opportunities to pursue (including ‘Go No-Go’ requests);
- Identify, cultivate, and pre-position with partner organisations to form or join consortia focused funding bids;
- Conduct due diligence on new partners in coordination with finance and partnerships teams.
4.4 Influencing development and communicating practical lessons and results
- Support the influencing of the development sector by convening and participating at events (e.g. conferences, roundtables, policy forums) to share lessons, innovations and knowledge about our programmes that position us as ‘thought leaders’;
- Engage communications teams to identify opportunities and support the development of content (e.g. social media campaigns, videos) that promote AKF and AKDN’s work and position us as ‘partners of choice’ in the sector. About the role
We are seeking a dynamic Operations Manager to lead the next phase of our development, building on the strong foundation we've established.
In this key leadership role, you'll ensure smooth, efficient operations across all functions, including finance, HR, facilities and communications, managing a small, dedicated team. Your work will directly support our teams in delivering vital services, reaching key targets and achieving our mission, offering you the chance to make a lasting impact in a growing, purpose-driven organisation.
This fast-paced role requires a proactive, resourceful individual who can manage daily operations while considering the bigger picture to implement new ways of working. As part of the Senior Management Team, you'll also help shape and deliver our organisational strategy.
Additionally, you will have the unique opportunity to co-lead our participation in the London Communities Human Rights Programme, a four-year project aimed at embedding a human rights-based approach in all areas of our work, in collaboration with the British Institute of Human Rights.
Key Responsibilities
- Finances
- Ensure robust financial management and controls, supported by the Director and an external financial consultant, with a focus on achieving value for money; effective risk management; timely and accurate reporting; increased financial literacy within the organisation and efficient use of resources.
- HR
- Lead the development and implementation of HR initiatives, systems and procedures that are efficient, aligned with best practices and reflect our values and strategic goals. Ensure staff are well-supported, with a robust performance management system in place across the organisation. Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to foster a learning culture, enabling staff to work at their best and achieve success as a team.
- Facilities and Compliance Management
- Ensure efficient management of facilities and full compliance with legal and regulatory requirements across health and safety, data protection, cybersecurity and other operational standards. Collaborate with the Senior Management Team to uphold quality standards, including the Advice Quality Standard, Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner, London Youth Quality Mark and Investing in Volunteers.

- Oversee the management of IRMO’s social media platforms and website

Person Specification
- Essential
- At least three years of experience in a similar role
- Strong understanding of finance and budget management for an organisation of IRMO’s size (£850,000 turnover)
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
- Understanding of UK employment law, HR best practices, health and safety, data protection and safeguarding
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
- Tech-savvy, including knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft applications
- Strategic understanding of how financial and operational management supports service delivery, with a commitment to continuous improvement
- Skilled in streamlining systems, processes and procedures for enhanced efficiency
- Proven ability to take ownership of projects from conception to completion with minimal oversight
- Highly organised, able to manage workloads and balance tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Adaptable and proactive, capable of solving problems independently with limited resources
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly

Job Description Income Generation Manager
Join our team at an exciting time of growth. You will feed into and lead all aspects of the charity’s income generation strategy plan and associated delivery, working with the CEO and wider leadership team. The role holder will increase annual income year on year by developing an income strategy and delivery plan that develops current income channels and create routes to corporate partnerships and donors, as well as continuing to build our brand recognition.

The role holder will increase annual income year on year by developing an income strategy and plan that seeks to improve current income channels and create routes to future partnerships and donors as well as continuing to build our brand recognition. Specifically, to develop innovative strategies and supporting plans that will help increase income from the following streams:
1. Patronage and donations from high profile and philanthropic individuals/groups allied to our aims
2. Online marketing and fundraising campaigns (FB, Instagram, X, web and text)
3. Corporates through selection of Together Dementia Support as their chosen charity, through employee give as you earn and voluntary involvement in our events, services (marketing and media engagement) and fundraising;
4. Legacy and will-based fundraising with our partners
5. Fundraising events that provide a positive experience and income contribution
The role holder requires commercial focus and should be able to demonstrate how they will design, develop and implement appropriate income generation approaches aligned with jointly agreed fundraising goals. The role will involve increasing awareness, interest and commitment to our charity by leveraging our existing communication strategy and delivery plans.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the project plan, ensuring all deadlines and milestones are met.
