Tender is an arts charity working with children and young people to prevent domestic abuse and sexual violence through creative projects. Our programmes are safe, enjoyable, age-appropriate spaces where young people can engage with sensitive topics and “rehearse” for real-life scenarios. Participants are encouraged to be both consumers and producers of learning through script-work, role-play and creative media such as films and art. Throughout, we enable young people to explore their choices, rights and expectations in relationships and to recognise the early warning signs of abuse.
We have grown rapidly in recent years, and now have an exciting and varied programme of work which is funded from a wide range of sources. We have long-standing, high-value relationships with organisations such as the Mayor’s Office, Esmée Fairbairn and Clifford Chance, and continue to grow our income from a range of supporters from trusts, foundations, corporates, individuals and community fundraisers.
We now have a need for two Development Officers to work closely with the Development Director and Development Manager in developing our trusts and foundations and statutory income streams, managing the accounts of existing supporters and generating income through securing new funding relationships. This role will involve a diverse range of work, from identifying prospects, creating compelling funding proposals, through to successfully managing relationships with funders.
One of the new Development Officers will have line management responsibility for a Development Coordinator, while the other Development Officer will not have any line management responsibilities. If you have a preference for one or other role, please note that in your application.
Success in this role would mean that, after six months you can:
• Confidently write and speak about Tender’s work, and how we prevent violence against women and girls, to a range of different funders.
- Write clear, compelling funding applications for five-figure sums to a range of funders.
- Proactively maintain positive relationships with funders you are responsible for managing.
- Support and work flexibly with other members of the Development team so that we can collaboratively reach our fundraising goals.
- Use Tender’s data management systems, such as Microsoft 365 and Salesforce, confidently and in line with Tender’s policies.
Please see the “Guidance Notes for Applicants” section at the end of the application pack for full details of how to apply. We ask for a copy of your CV and a 1 – 2 page supporting statement. We are happy to consider alternative application formats, such as video applications.
Would you like to help create a brighter future for nature?
We are looking for two Policy Officers (or Senior Policy Officers) to help develop and promote environmental policy on behalf of our 86 environmental charity members.
The Government has promised to halt the decline of nature by 2030. This role is about making sure the urgent action needed to meet that pledge is delivered.
Your job will be to convene some of England’s best environmental policy experts to agree bold and effective shared policy positions. There will be lots of thinking, lots of writing, and lots of opportunities to shape shared campaigns. You will also play a key role in delivering those messages to key influencers in Government and in Parliament.
So, we are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, the ability to listen and negotiate, and a reasoned and convincing style of written and verbal communication.
The role is likely to focus on farming or chemicals policy but we can consider another policy focus for the right candidate.

The King’s Fund paid-for events business began in 2006 and has grown organically year on year by developing new products and increasing reach. The events programme attracts participants from across the NHS, local authority, people using health and care services, commercial, statutory, and the voluntary and community sectors. The King’s Fund’s vision is that the best possible health and care is available to all and our work involves understanding developments, challenges and opportunities across health and care. The events programme supports our organisational goals and brings people together to discuss, share and learn.
The events team is responsible for delivering a large portion of the free events that take place across The Fund; including online events, roundtables, workshops, receptions and dinners. The team also has ownership over our paid-for events programme; which includes virtual conferences, in-person conferences and congresses. You will also play a key role in shaping the future of our portfolio of in-person, virtual and hybrid events.
To join us, you’ll need a degree (or equivalent) and experience in planning and delivering virtual and in person conferences and other smaller events. With this background, you’ll know how to research and develop event content to create engaging programmes and attract wide audiences. You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to lead effective logistics arrangements in preparation for and on the day of events. We’ll expect you to work hard to support the team and you will be given responsibility for your own areas of work. You’ll also need to be flexible, diligent, and comfortable being the main point of contact for many people from sponsors to speakers.
The Fund has a set of core values and behaviours that we believe will help us to achieve our own goals and the culture we need to enable our people to work at their best. You will be expected to live up to these in all areas of your work. Clear communication is key, along with good organisation. Professional and efficient, you’ll thrive on ever-changing challenges.

We encourage applicants from all sections of the community, including people from Black and ethnic minority backgrounds, people with disabilities and people from the LGBT+ community.
