Our Helpline and expert advisers offer free, practical support to older people without enough money to live on. Through our grants programme, we support hundreds of local organisations working with older people across the UK.

Responsibilities and Person Specification:
As a Graphic Designer, you will be part of our busy and friendly Studio team delivering content that presents an authentic narrative of older people’s lives. Working closely with the Senior Graphic Designer, you will play an essential role in producing our design work for print and digital channels.
Reporting to the Studio Manager, the post-holder will collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders and be responsible for delivering creative solutions that uphold our brand guidelines.
You should have experience working in either an in-house studio or a design agency and be skilled at producing and delivering designs for different media, including print, digital and social. You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to take instruction and deliver with a can-do attitude. In addition, you will be very proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud programmes and Microsoft Office.

About the Role
As our Senior Media Officer, you will play a vital part in our busy media team by delivering dynamic and creative campaigns to influence Government and NHS policy as well as supporting the team's Press Office function, capitalising on PR opportunities, improving stakeholder buy-in, and reducing reputational risk.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development and delivery of the health communications yearly plan, aiming to raise awareness of heart and circulatory diseases through the media.
- Work with Medical and Marketing teams to propose, develop, and deliver ambitious and influential communications campaigns.
- Deliver PR activity that supports the BHF’s priority health and influencing campaigns, including reporting on improving survival rates from cardiac arrest through our Revivr and The Circuit programmes, reducing risk factors for cardiovascular disease, and influencing around NHS healthcare.

Working arrangements
This is a blended role, where your work will be dually located between your home and our London office.
As the role supports the BHF’s busy press office, you will participate in our out of hour’s service on a rotational shift basis

About you
With a strong news sense, especially across the medical landscape, you will have the ability to react responsibly to external opportunities using your extensive creative expertise alongside your experience of strong media campaigns.
You can quickly to pick up on new and often complex scientific material, then condensing it into context that will connect to audiences of all levels will be essential to the role. You’ll also be able to demonstrate a proven track record of delivering media campaigns. · To deliver an exciting, new programme implementing a whole school approach (WSA) to food nurseries, primaries, secondaries and SEN schools in Southwark.

As Individual Giving Fundraiser you will be responsible for planning and delivering appeals, campaigns and supporter journeys to recruit, retain and reward individual donors. Specifically, you will be responsible for the growth of strategically important income streams of general donations, regular giving, and lottery
The successful candidate will be working to maximise income and develop supporter relationships across a variety of activities.
Duties & Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a programme of acquisition campaigns to acquire new cash and regular giving donors.
- Contribute to maximising the potential of the fundraising database, segmenting and targeting supporters who have the potential to give regularly or at a mid-range level.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and providing all required information for the successful delivery of campaigns and strategies.
- Develop, implement and monitor direct response campaigns (post, email, phone and digital) to acquire new supporters and deepen our relationship with existing supporters including raffles and other campaigns and appeals.
- To carry out research and maintain awareness of the wider fundraising industry to obtain relevant information that can contribute to proposals, mailings, applications, donor strategies and fundraising communications.
- Use supporter insight, data, and external trend analysis to spot opportunities for income growth or development.
- Work with colleagues in Marketing to develop engaging case studies and beneficiary stories to support fundraising and donor relationship-building.
- Devise inspirational and exciting ways to demonstrate the impact of donations on the lives of beneficiaries and ensure that this is communicated regularly and effectively to supporters.
- Ensure all activity is compliant with any regulations and any reporting requirements completed.

This is an exciting opportunity to manage the press office for an organisation which in recent years has been at the forefront of some of the biggest news stories in the country, including the Covid Inquiry, ‘Partygate’ and many more.
We are looking for someone who supports our cause of ensuring that the mistakes made in the pandemic are never repeated and has good people skills to work sensitively with those who have been bereaved by Covid-19.
You will be one of a four person staff team working alongside our Directors and over 7,000 members who are all personally bereaved. You will be line managed by our campaign manager.
