In this exciting newly created role, you will take the lead in growing and sustaining our fundraising income. Your responsibilities will span the fundraising process from identifying funding opportunities and potential grant-makers, designing and developing compelling funding proposals and promoting these opportunities, through to managing relationships with donors.
Ideal candidates will have energy, motivation, and the experience to be able to make an instant impact on the organisation; they will understand the wider charity context, have good attention for detail and can make things happen.
Candidates are expected to be fundraisers with at least three years of experience and have a track record of success in securing funds.
Crucially, we want to recruit an individual who is as committed to Lloyd Park Children’s Charity's vision, and will work with us to make a huge difference to local marginalised and vulnerable children and families.
We operate a standard 6 month probation for all of our roles.
For this role success will be contingent on increasing the number of funding applications submitted and demonstrable positive fundraising outcomes.
This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and therefore subject to an enhanced DBS certificate; this is a requirement of the DBS code of practice.

About the Role
Our Communications Assistant will amplify all the great things the Foundation does. They will be responsible for managing many of JPF’s social media channels (Instagram, TikTok etc.), and the creation of our marketing material focused on inspiring and motivating young people to engage with the Foundation.
You will need to champion young people, ensure that we are amplifying young people’s voices and providing them with the tools, resources, contacts and services that enable them to achieve great things.

About Your Responsibilities
The Communications Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Communications Team across three areas, as well as supporting a number of other initiatives across the Foundation. The primary duties are:
1 Digital Communications and Marketing
The postholder will be responsible for:
• Newsletter Creation: Developing newsletters for young people, collaborating with the Grants team and our partners to curate engaging and relevant content.
• Promotional Materials: Overseeing the design and production of leaflets and brochures aimed at young audiences.
• Website Maintenance: Regularly updating the JPF website with blogs, case studies and other content to highlight opportunities and programmes like the Individual Grant for Volunteering or success stories of Achievement Award winners.
• Storytelling: Working with the Communications and Engagement Officer and Events team to source and share positive news stories of Achievement Award winners in press releases and across our digital channels.
• Event Promotion: Working in partnership with the Events team to promote attendance at our Achievement Award events through our website and social media platforms.
• Youth Consultation Panel Collaboration: Collaborating with JPF's Youth Consultation Panel to create educational and professional development content for the Jack Petchey Alumni Network.
• Programme Launches: Working with colleagues across the Foundation to launch and promote new programmes, grant opportunities and recruitment across our digital channels.
2 Social Media Content Management
The postholder will be responsible for:
• Daily Management: Handling day-to-day scheduling, monitoring and interactions across social media platforms (X, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube) to maintain audience engagement.
• Campaign Development: Leading the creation of social media campaigns celebrating young people’s achievements and promoting opportunities for young people and grantees.
• Content creation: Developing engaging content for social media channels, including sourcing images, creating/editing videos and designing graphics in line with the Foundation’s branding.
• Social Media Takeovers: Hosting social media takeovers with our Youth Consultation Panel to amplify their voices and views.
• Performance Tracking: Monitoring and analysing the performance of our social media channels, benchmarking activities against past metrics and producing regular reports for the Communications and Engagement Manager.
• Annual Plan: Researching, reviewing and developing the Foundation’s annual social media plan, providing recommendations to enhance audience engagement and expand reach.
• Trend monitoring: Staying updated on news and trending topics related to young people and the Foundation, proactively responding to highlight our opportunities and work.
• Video Content: Work with staff and our Youth Consultation Panel to produce more film content for our social media channels.
3 Engaging Key Stakeholders and Widening JPF's Reach
The postholder will be responsible for:
• Youth Survey Development: Supporting the creation and distribution of the Foundation’s youth survey and other influencing initiatives targeting key stakeholders.
• Partner Collaboration: Work with partners to promote their programmes and opportunities to young people.
• Young performers: Collaborating with the Communications and Engagement Officer and the Events team to identify more Achievement Award winners to perform at our award events.
• Press and Outreach: Assisting in drafting press releases and executing outreach campaigns to promote the Foundation’s work to key networks and to the broader public. • Identifying Stakeholders: Working with colleagues to develop and implement a stakeholder engagement strategy, including identifying and engaging potential ambassadors and social media influencers aligned with the Foundation.
• Competitions and Opportunities: Enhancing JPF's youth engagement through creative competitions and development opportunities that celebrate young people’s achievements.
4 Other Responsibilities
The postholder will:
• Event Representation: Attend key events to capture content and represent the Foundation as a spokesperson when needed.
• Event Support: Assist in organizing and facilitating events and conferences as required.
These duties represent the typical responsibilities associated with this position. However, flexibility is essential, and all employees may occasionally be required to undertake additional tasks as directed by JPF.
The postholder will work at all times within the policies, procedures and values of JPF, in particular Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Data Protection and Publicity Consent policies.

The role of our Events Coordinator is to drive forward Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s fundraising efforts through the coordination, delivery and review of our portfolio of income generating events throughout the year, and providing events expertise and support to colleagues across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinate, plan and deliver a portfolio of events:
Concurrently project manage all aspects of specific events (charity-owned, third-party and challenge events), ensuring all tasks are assigned and completed as per each event’s project plan.
Produce event budgets and ensure events are run within budgeted expenditure and achieving budgeted income, negotiating with suppliers for the most cost-effective prices where appropriate.

We are seeking a Volunteering and Engagement Manager to recruit and develop a diverse team of volunteers, to support our work with families in Barnet, Brent and Harrow.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, forward thinking change-maker to test new approaches to engaging with local communities and potential volunteers. You will understand the importance of brand and positive messaging, and will be able to use a variety of techniques including social media to promote volunteering opportunites to different communities of interest.
Additionally, the postholder will be an inclusive and engaging communicator, with the ability to build supportive relationships with a diverse group of volunteers. The postholder will ensure that volunteers receive training, development and supervision to support the families we work with, and that high standards of practice are maintained. You will promote initiatives to increase the retention of existing volunteers and ensure that they are recognised and rewarded for their work.
The work requires a combination of field-based community engagement and training in Barnet, Brent and Harrow and regular days in the office which is in Finchley, Barnet.

About The Murray Parish Trust
Children with a serious illness are three times more likely to struggle with their mental health. Their childhoods are overshadowed by coming to terms with diagnosis, hospital stays, treatment, feeling different from friends or managing how their illness affects daily life. Many of them struggle with severe anxiety and depression, experiencing isolation and trauma during their journey. These children are at much higher risk of long-term mental health difficulties that are more complex and difficult to treat, on top of living with often complex medical needs.
Actors Jim Murray and Sarah Parish’s first daughter, Ella-Jayne, was born with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome in 2009 and spent half her short life in paediatric intensive care, Southampton Children’s Hospital. Ella-Jayne died, at home, just eight months old. After they recovered from the immediate horror, Jim and Sarah felt an overwhelming drive to help other children and families and founded The Murray Parish Trust in 2014. They were awarded MBE’s in the King’s New Years Honours 2025 for services to seriously ill children and their families.
Our charity delivers projects that support the mental health of seriously ill children and their families. We improve access to specialist, imaginative and empowering support, at the earliest possible moment, to prevent long-term mental health difficulties. We do this by delivering a vast range of projects in children’s hospitals, hospices and other health or community settings across the UK. These include drama, dance, art, nature and music therapy; bereavement and mortuary suites, distraction equipment that reduces anxiety, sanctuary and quiet rooms; sibling support; counselling and therapy rooms; and psychological support for children/family members.
The role - Head of Public Fundraising and Operations
This is an exciting new chapter for The Murray Parish Trust. Our new Head of Public Fundraising and Operations will work closely with the Board of Trustees and our Head of Philanthropy and Projects to scale our impact and expand reach nationwide. They will play a pivotal role in leading operations and shaping the charity’s future, as well as leading on growing income from community, corporate, individual fundraising, which have been identified as strategic fundraising priorities.
We anticipate time will be split roughly equally between leading public fundraising and operational management. There is some freelance support with marketing, corporate and community fundraising, and volunteer coordination, plus trustee support with events; there is scope to expand the team as income grows. This role will support their work as well as personally deliver public fundraising activity, taking sole responsibility for individual giving and legacies.

Key responsibilities
Fundraising: Work alongside with the Head of Philanthropy and Projects to implement the fundraising strategy, including:
- Delivery of the specific fundraising activity delegated to this role to grow income year on year (individuals, community, corporate, legacies, events), supported by the work of freelancers.
- Strategic oversight of all public fundraising including monitoring, evaluating and reporting to the Board.
- Ensure excellence in donor stewardship that helps retain, grow and diversify support from existing donors.
- Maintain a proactive focus on donor acquisition, across the UK, prioritising areas where we have projects.
- Effectively utilise the CRM to proactively and accurately capture donor information and consents.
- Strong focus on return on investment to ensure efficiency in working nationwide, carefully prioritising activity.
Charity management and operations
- Help to shape organisational strategy, using data insight to drive decision making.
- Data management lead; incl. CRM management, data protection, embedding a culture of data collection.
- Lead on setting and managing annual income and expenditure budgets.
- Ensure compliance with the latest regulatory requirements and sector best practice.
- Coordinate and manage policy, procedure, risk management and wider charity administration.
- Provide support for financial management; incl. outsourced book keeping/monthly management accounts; working with accountants to ensure timely production of the Annual Report and Financial Statements
- Work closely with Board members with specific lead responsibility, incl. with the Treasurer in the production of cashflow and other financial reports.
- Supported by the volunteer coordinator (freelance), manage and develop a network of volunteers and ambassadors (e.g. talks, photo calls, events, collection tins, admin, research).
- Act as Secretary to the Board; including statutory filing, coordinating quarterly meetings and taking minutes, compiling/circulating Board papers, diarising other meetings and communication as needed.
- Represent the charity externally with diverse stakeholders.
- Responsible for the effective management and leadership of the public fundraising and operations team.

This role will support the Events Development Manager in the planning and delivery of online and digital events, as well as an expanded events programme that aligns with the RSPB’s strategic goals. The Senior Events Officer will play a critical role in operationally leading parts of this programme, deputising for the Events Development Manager, and using their expertise to execute the strategy.
What's the role about?
The Senior Events Officer will be responsible for delivering multiple, simultaneous projects while managing diverse stakeholders and collaborating with teams across the RSPB, partner organisations and agencies.
A key area for this role will also be to curate, develop, and deliver innovative, high-quality events and experiences that resonate with target audiences and drive engagement. You will focus specifically on delivering events that reach and converts new audiences and help to retain members and courage lifetime value using innovative approaches and event delivery. You will oversee all aspects of event planning and execution, including risk management, communication plans, and live event coordination (both in-person and virtual).
Operational Focus
- Prepare event briefs with key stakeholders to ensure that clear objectives and outcomes are set, monitored, and delivered.
- Produce, project management, and deliver events to an exceptionally high standard using project management tools and risk plans.
- Live manage events to ensure they run smoothly and achieve their outcomes.
- Attend and contribute to workshops and project meetings, ensuring that project needs are articulated and understood.
Strategic Impact
The Senior Events Officer will directly contribute to the RSPB’s mission by supporting the engagement of more diverse audiences, enhancing member value, and driving income generation. Your leadership in implementing the events programme ensures the organisation’s continued growth and ability to inspire action for nature.
Essential skills, knowledge and experience:
- A degree or equivalent professional qualification in event management, marketing, or a related field, or demonstrable experience in a similar role.
- Demonstrable experience managing and leading large-scale events of over 1000 people, from concept through to implementation and evaluation
- Ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of event marketing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to write and produce engaging content, including copy writing, and in-person delivery to influence and represent the directorate and the organisation
- Expertise in working with tracking, measurement, and analytic tools to assess event success and deliver detailed event insight.
- Experience of delivering online events to over 500 attendees, including live polling, panel discussion and working with production companies
- Budget management of significant >£50k budgets

Leading the Individual Giving team, the Head of Individual Giving is also a member of the Fundraising Leadership Team (FLT).
You will directly manage the Supporter Acquisition Team and lead on Individual Giving strategy development and deliver growth as outlined in the new income generation strategy by enabling its implementation, maximising opportunities to grow net income and member / supporter numbers by making the goals and work of Amnesty International compelling to the UK public, inspiring them to donate and showing them that they are part of a powerful movement for human rights.
You'll oversee the planning, budgeting, and performance of the Individual Giving programme, including our in-house tele-fundraising business unit, in accordance with the goals and priorities of the income generation plan and organisational strategy. Expenditure budget is circa £3-4m per annum to achieve an income budget of circa £17m per annum across a range of products and channels. You'll be accountable for the compliance of the individual giving programme, which raises funds and recruits supporters across the two separate-but-related legal entities that make up Amnesty International UK.
You don't need to have worked for a campaigning / advocacy-based organisation before - but you will need to be excited about leading an individual giving programme that helps fund one.

- You're experienced at management level within fundraising or business-to-consumer direct marketing, working with £1m+ budgets to achieve net income / profit and essentially will be able to give examples of the delivery of supporter / customer growth.
- You're an expert in what makes compelling fundraising communications and targeting external audiences using a range of direct response channels, including digital.
- You have a good knowledge of direct marketing performance metrics and how to use them to make evidence-based decisions.
