About the Role
The Marketing Manager (Acquisition) will plan and deliver effective direct response campaigns across paid channels, to build consideration, prompt action and drive income through the acquisition of new individual donors.
A key part of this role will be to lead on the day-to-day management and development of direct response TV (DRTV) and online video which are pivotal channels within our acquisition programme. By identifying the right supporters to target and inspiring them to commit to a regular monthly donation, you'll be a key driver of our Individual Giving supporter base growth and income.
Working within multi-disciplinary teams, you'll build strong relationships and cut through boundaries, in a fast-moving and dynamic environment. Leveraging agile principles, you'll flex and adapt - learning rapidly and responding to change, while keeping our supporters at the heart of everything you do.
In this role, you will:
• Plan and execute direct response TV and online video marketing campaigns, across a range of channels (e.g. direct response TV, bVOD, CTV), with a focus on audience, to drive ambitious income targets.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to attract new supporters – using insight and data to understand our audience's needs and motivations to build long term relationships.
• Work closely with our media buying agency to approve, buy and optimise media. Manage and monitor budgets, analyse daily results and metrics to drive change as needed to ensure marketing performance against KPIs.
• Collaborate cross-squad and with partner media agency to align DRTV and online video with the broader multi-channel paid media plan and integration with our Brand campaign where appropriate.
• Plan and collaborate with in-house and/or external creative and production agencies on the development of new DRTV creative, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
• Develop and execute creative testing strategies to inspire audience engagement and action.
• Regularly analyse and report on performance across DRTV and online video channels and audiences, providing expertise to optimise results and deliver growth.
• Support and assist with training and supervision of Marketing Executives within the team. Manage, develop and motivate members to retain, and develop capacity, creative capability and talent to provide for succession and ensure delivery of business objectives.
• Partner with Analyst squad members to assess marketing effectiveness, using data-driven insights to foster a test-and-learn approach and ensure learnings are effectively shared across the team, and recommendations implemented.
• Work with Senior Marketing Managers to manage budgets, including planning, reporting, and reforecasting.
• Partner with CRO Specialist and others, to create a seamless supporter experience by ensuring consistency across all touchpoints, driving engagement, conversion and lifetime value.
• Keeping abreast of changes within the direct response TV and online video marketplace, and ensure learnings feed into quarterly planning.
• Collaborate with Save the Children International and other member countries, sharing best practices and insights on the trends of the various activities under its responsibility and helping drive the global production of new content for TV and online video.
To be successful, it is important that you have:
• Demonstrable experience in managing and delivering marketing campaigns across direct response TV or other online video channels.
• Experience in direct response marketing including developing marketing campaigns, data analysis and audience planning.
• Project management experience with a proven ability to plan and manage activity that delivers complex projects on time and to budget.
• Experience of effectively managing external partners to drive performance and continual improvement, such as working with media agencies to plan, buy and optimise media, creative and production agencies.
• Experience of developing fundraising and/or marketing assets to drive action.
• Experience of effective management of campaign budgets, implementing most effective investment decisions in real time.
• Strong numerical and critical thinking skills, specifically the ability to analyse complex data and translate it into tangible information for strategic decision-making.
• Demonstrable expertise in managing budgets efficiently.
• An understanding of attribution and the different models that can be used.
• Strong understanding of the fundraising DRTV media landscape.

Ways of Working:
The majority of our roles can be performed remotely in the UK, but there are likely to be times when you will be required to come to your contracted office (up to 2-4 days per month or 6-8 days per quarter). We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Direct Marketing and Fundraising Officer to join our Public Fundraising team. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our fundraising activities, particularly during appeals, where your coordination skills will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Appeal Coordination:
- Assist the Direct Marketing Manager - Acquisition in keeping member agency fundraising directors and key suppliers up to date in the run-up to and during appeals.

- Support the Director of Fundraising and Marketing in organizing and managing the Fundraising Director’s Group meetings, including diary coordination, preparing presentations, and taking minutes.
- Provide general administrative support to the Fundraising and Marketing team, including setting up monthly team meetings, organizing agendas, and coordinating away days.

What this role entails?
The Medical Sciences Divisional development team works collaboratively with colleagues across the Division and across the Development and Alumni Engagement team at the University of Oxford.
This is a key role within the team and the post holder will have the opportunity to work with donors and academics. Development at Oxford is well established and this role has the scope to work across a number of important and high-profile projects related to the medical sciences.
The post holder will manage a portfolio of more than 100 major gifts prospects. They will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of potential donors able to support projects in the Medical Sciences Division at Oxford, typically in the range of £100,000-£500,000 over time, alongside to supporting the fundraising activity of the Head of Development – Medical Sciences.
To be successful in this role:
- Proven fundraising experience in a complex organisation and direct involvement in securing major gifts at the £50,000 level and above
- Ability to identify new donor prospects and engage with potential donors to successfully acquire new gifts
- Ability to think both strategically and tactically about the relations between potential donors and fund-raising goals
- Ability to establish credibility, confidence and robust relationships with existing and prospective donors, and key stakeholders

About this role

Social Media and website
- Maintain and build RedR UK’s social media presence, ensuring social media channels are populated with engaging content with a consistent, strong voice reflecting RedR’s strategy to maximise potential for exposure among target audiences
- Manage a calendar of social media and website activity
- Work with the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development to create and develop campaigns (including fundraising and awareness raising campaigns) to be run across social media platforms
- Monitor and report on engagement, number of followers and website referrals to inform best practice for post timing and content
- Act as the primary point of contact for queries received through social media and inbound emails, ensuring they are responded to appropriately and in a timely manner
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and maintenance of RedR UK’s website, including making edits and creating new content

- Stay abreast of comms and marketing trends and propose new and innovative approaches to increase outreach, engagement and fundraising income
- Produce in-house marketing materials and templates including event brochures, proposal templates, illustrations for reports/proposals, graphics and videos using platforms such as Canva or Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint and other editing tools
- Produce and disseminate high quality regular newsletters, and support with production of speeches and letters
- Identify inspiring impact stories and produce written and occasional films case studies and other content for use by the Fundraising and Programmes teams, supporting
- Support programme teams wishing to undertake communications activities as part of a grant/funded project; ensure that institutional donors’ communications activities and visibility requirements are respected
- Lead on emergency communications, in close coordination with the Associate Director of Programmes and Business Development
- Champion and monitor the use of RedR brand and style guidelines; to develop messaging guidelines and ensure they are adhered to across the organisation and to support other departments to develop their messaging and material.

- Lead and coordinate the drafting of RedR’s Annual Report, liaising with staff across the organisation for input

Purpose of role
The International Board are seeking a senior International Fundraising Director with significant experience in major donor fundraising who will help drive the organisation’s fundraising strategy by strengthening and diversifying its fundraising sources. About the role
Working closely with the Head of Development and the Communications team, you will play a key role in delivering a diverse range of fundraising activities, including events, appeals, and campaigns. In addition, you'll contribute to enhancing the supporter journey and providing outstanding donor care. This role also offers the exciting opportunity to take the lead on specific initiatives, allowing you to drive projects from concept to completion and make a direct impact. We are a small team and seek a reliable multi-tasker, who is extremely organised, pro-active and inspiring. Responsibilities
1. Support the fundraising function, including:

Event and campaign management: Assist with planning and coordination for our key fundraising initiatives, including gala dinners, carol concerts, appeals, comedy nights, and third-party fundraising events. Manage guest lists, liaise with suppliers coordinate venues, and handle press and printing needs.

Corporate donor relations: Help build and maintain our corporate donor database, with a focus on managing commercial participators and related agreements to enhance sponsorships and collaborations.

Trust & Foundations: Work closely with the Head of Development on grant applications, reporting, and scheduling to secure and sustain funding.

Individual Giving: Lead on gathering content for our Regular Giving campaigns, including materials for the Action Syria Recipes, enhancing donor engagement and retention.

Marketing and communications collaboration: Ensure all fundraising initiatives are effectively marketed to the right audiences for maximum engagement and impact.

Supporter Care: Ensure donors are thanked promptly, appropriately, and placed on the correct support journey. Ensure data in CRM system is current and accurate.
2. Support the team on administrative and operational tasks as required including:

General support: Manage the general inbox, respond to queries, and forward messages to relevant team members. Scheduling meetings internally and externally as required.

Summary of role purpose
Senior fundraising and development role at a pioneering, mid-sized climate-change journalism non-profit with a seven-figure budget. Overall responsibility for developing, securing and managing a trusts and foundations pipeline – during an important organisational inflection point -- to help grow a sustainable, financially substantial and long-term income stream for our programmes, core and new activities. Working strategically with senior leadership and staff to maximise existing income sources and identify and evaluate new sources of income, including those beyond philanthropic donations.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Research and recommend funding opportunities for current and planned programmes at a dynamic, climate-change charity with a strong track record, team, and culture. Manage and organise initial enquiries, funding applications, follow-ups, and learnings from feedback.
· Draft clear and compellingly written fundraising materials, including cases for support, funding proposals and concept notes.
· Manage / support relationships with funders, including timely appropriate tailored funder reports and other communications.
· Oversee the preparation of bespoke, accurate and clear grant reports, rooted in our measurement, evaluation and learning strategy, along with other fundraising materials
· Work strategically with the senior management team (SMT) to develop plans to maximise income to achieve annual fundraising targets and, together with the editorial and leadership teams, meet with funders and donors to understand their interests, priorities and present proposals.
· Chair bi-weekly meeting with the SMT to present opportunities and actions and agree on priorities and approaches to donors.
· Collaborate with colleagues, especially in the editorial and operations teams, to gather information on project needs, aims and deliverables; ensure that what is presented to funders is aligned with the delivery side of the organisation.
· Oversee the management of the grants database and ensure it is regularly checked and updated and that leads are followed up.
· Manage internal fundraising processes.
· Build and maintain positive relationships, both with internal stakeholders and funders.
· Assist in relationship and account management for non-philanthropic income streams.
· Assist in delivering events to update existing and attract new funders ensuring appropriate follow-up.

Working Hours
32 hours, 9-6. We offer a four-day working week, with full time pay.
Hybrid working
We work in the office a minimum of 2 days a week. Attendance is mandatory on Tuesdays; staff can choose which other days they attend.

Principal Responsibilities and accountabilities:
