A key part of your role will be coaching our small team of in-house callers to make outgoing calls that build, retain and strengthen relationships with our supporters: welcoming, thanking and encouraging them to leave a gift in their Will for lasting impact.
You’ll also handle inbound supporter care across a variety of channels – including phone, email and social media – responding to questions and producing engaging personalised replies, as well as writing inspirational copy to answer regularly asked campaign questions.
Location: Islington, London. Our hybrid working model enables us to enjoy the benefits of both office based and remote working. We ask that staff work from the office in Islington 40% of their time, with 20% required as a minimum. What we're looking for:
- Experience of coaching and motivating a team to achieve fundraising or supporter experience targets and managing individual performance, holding team members accountable for hitting their goals.
- Experience in a customer or supporter service environment, with the ability to answer large volumes of public enquiries across all communication channels.
- Experience using databases (CRMs) to run regular reports on calling campaigns and individual performance, with the ability to disseminate key insights and data to relevant stakeholders.
- Excellent written communication, with the ability to write engaging responses to enquiries, judging the appropriate tone and content to be used.

About this job
Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Safeguarding professional, with a strong interest in protecting adults at risk and children from harm, within the wider Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Community?
Based within our Helpline Services team, you’ll have responsibility for:
- Responding to concerns reported by staff and volunteers
- Leading the coordination of responding to safeguarding concerns
- Dealing with safeguarding issues (as they arise) and liaising with statutory services as needed
- Giving advice and support to colleagues and our volunteers in relation to safeguarding and disclosure checking
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the society
- Liaising with external safeguarding agencies
- Embedding organisational safeguarding policies, procedures and practices across the society
You’ll have experience of working in a safeguarding customer-facing environment within the Charity or Public Service sectors. You’ll have proficient administrative and IT skills with the ability to work accurately, consistently and independently. You’ll ideally have had experience in supporting vulnerable people in person, over the phone and or online.
An understanding of safeguarding within the Charity and Public Service sectors is essential.
A satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check without barring list check will need to be obtained to undertake this role.

Sydenham Garden, based in Lewisham in South-East London, is a unique wellbeing centre utilising its gardens, nature reserve and activity rooms to help people living with and recovering from mental and physical ill-health. We provide nature and arts based creative, social and therapeutic activities for co-workers (the name we give to our primary beneficiaries). Your challenge? To do everything you can to help the individuals we work with to source appropriate work experience placements with local organisations/employers. Day to day, you’ll offer support, careers advice and guidance, helping people to set their own recovery and employment focused goals and provide training in personal and skills development such as CV preparation, interview techniques etc. You’ll also be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive links with community mental health teams and have the initiative to develop and promote the service. Additionally, you will have responsibility for maintaining efficient admin systems to ensure referrals, assessments and reviews are completed in a timely manner.
As well as a good understanding of mental health problems and the issues and barriers this can create for our clients, you’ll need excellent motivational, presentation and listening skills and a willingness to travel in the local area and to work outside of office hours as required.

MAP is the leading UK charity delivering health and medical care to those worst affected by conflict, occupation, and displacement in the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon.
Job Purpose
The Deputy Director: Supply Chain & Logistics will be responsible for overseeing the organisation’s goals and strategy related to supply chain management, procurement, and logistics to ensure these functions best support MAP’s mission. With the organisation currently experiencing a period of growth in both headcount and scale of operations, the role will be key in enhancing logistics capabilities, supporting expansion efforts, and maintaining consistency in supply chain and logistics practices across multiple regions. This new role will be crucial in managing and optimising supply chain operations across multiple countries and regions, aligning logistics strategies with organisational objectives, and ensuring efficient and secure delivery of medical and other supplies within a complex humanitarian crisis.
Duties and key responsibilities
Leadership, Collaboration & Line Management
· Support the Director of Finance and Operations through preparation for and reporting to governance meetings.

· Embed logistics strategies to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of humanitarian aid including medical supplies, essential goods and other supplies and materials, while navigating complex and unstable environments.
· Oversee and monitor all the procurement processes and commitments to source goods in compliance with organisational policies and donor guidelines, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, quality control, and ethical standards.
· Manage and grow relationships with local, regional and international suppliers, transport providers, insurers, and partners to secure reliable supply routes and mitigate risks related to border crossings, roadblocks, and security threats.

Experience

We are seeking a motivated person who is passionate about education for social justice to design, plan and deliver courses and workshops on various subjects related to co-operative leadership, education and working practices.
Activities will include the design and development of high quality learning materials, including digital and online resources, the delivery, assessment and evaluation of courses (in-person, online and blended), and contributing to the development of the College curriculum plan.
Salary: Up to £26,240 pro rata (based on 28 hours per week)
The role is home based, with regular travel to Manchester and with some additional travel across the UK and abroad. You’ll need to be a self-starter, highly organised and able to prioritise your workload.
