As Payroll Technician, your role will support the work of our highly acclaimed Professional Services team, providing payroll services to churches and Christian charities.

The Professional Services team at Stewardship is in great demand and is looking to build on the support it provides to UK churches and Christian charities. As a payroll technician, you will work alongside our award-winning Payroll Bureau team, with responsibility for building relationships with and serving a distinct group of Churches and Christian Charities.

This is a one year fixed term role to cover maternity leave.

Our Finance team is looking to recruit a Finance Officer to join our Accounts Payable (AP) team to support the work and transactions that British Heart Foundation (BHF) perform for us to fund lifesaving science.
 
As an Accounts Payable Finance Officer, you'll:

• support the team and deliver a high-quality service in terms of timely, accurate and efficient entry of BHF expenditure onto our central accounting system

As the Head of Corporate Partnerships, you will be responsible for leading the Corporate Partnerships team and delivering a strategy that will ensure excellent account management of existing partnerships and extending the portfolio with new multi-year partnerships. This role will sit on the Trusts' Extended Leadership Team and have strategic influence over corporate partnerships direction and income. With corporate partnerships income accounting for almost half of last year's income, this is an exciting opportunity to further corporate income for the Trust. Oasis Hub Waterloo co-develops and co-delivers a wide range of integrated community services including a community centre, primary and secondary Academies, adult and further education opportunities, early years support, a Foodbank, advice services, a community farm, and well developed and diverse programmes for young people.

Purpose of job

This new role will lead on individual giving and events fundraising for Oasis Hub Waterloo with a focus on securing funds for Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank and our associated advice services. This will include developing our awareness and capacity to gain income from high-net-worth individuals, events and legacies.

Group Financial Controller | up to £700 per day (Umbrella) | Hybrid | London | 12-months +

For a large international organisation, we are recruiting an Interim Group Financial Controller to focus on their short-term cash flow forecast model, intercompany, and trapped cash. Critically, this role will fully implement and embed the use of a 13-week short term cashflow forecast and will oversee the cash repatriation to the UK from overseas entities, liaising with Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Group Statutory Reporting, and the MSP. The Group Financial Controller will also lead monthly close, balance sheet integrity, intercompany processes and compliance, and develop insight and understanding of the company's working capital to drive initiatives to optimise.

Main Duties:

• Fully develop and embed the short-term 13-week cash flow forecast and process notes with the goal of transferring this to the MSP
• Coordinate work across Financial Control, Tax, and Treasury to improve cash repatriations to the UK (trapped cash)
• Leadership of change across global financial control activities including monthly-close, balance sheet integrity, intercompany processes and financial regulation compliance
• Partner with business units and regions to support change in the transactional finance activities, monthly close and financial compliance is carried out.
• Lead multiple stakeholders across territories to ensure consistent standards and performance including interaction with the MSP
• Drive improvement in understanding and reporting of working capital across the group and entities
• Key role in coordinating activity across Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Group Statutory reporting and the Managed Service Provider as well as overseas Finance teams to maximise accuracy
• Ensure strong Audit readiness, managing relationships with internal / external auditors
• Line management of 3 Finance Controllers (functional and business units)

Person Specification:

• Qualified Accountant with proven experience at Group-level Financial Control
• Experience of embedding and managing short-term cash-flow models and forecasting

The regional model in the devolved nations remains the same: there are 3 regions in Scotland, 2 in Wales and 1 region in Northern Ireland.

Last year we began gradually recruiting the consultancy services of regional clinical leads in each of the 7 regions in England, to help us deliver this new model.

We are now recruiting for the final regional clinical lead vacancy in England to lead their regional network in London.

Who can apply?

Any UK-based healthcare professional, working in Parkinson’s or with an interest and expertise in the condition, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills is welcome to apply. Healthcare professionals living with Parkinson’s are also encouraged.

You’ll have a good understanding of the landscape of health and care delivery, education and workforce development to support the strategic aims and objectives of Parkinson’s UK.

Time commitment: 0.5 days per week (1 programmed activity) to be worked flexibly across the month.

Remuneration: monthly rate based on skills and experience.

Term of consultancy services: 3 years from date of appointment, with an option to extend for a further 3 years. You can then re-apply for the role if you wish.

Following a 3-month probation period, you will transition to a fixed-term contract. Upon successful completion of this term, you will be offered a permanent employment contract. A minimum salary of £39,695.24 gross (our salary base for people resident in the UK) will apply from the beginning of the probationary period. The salary base may change due to your previous experience related to the position, or your experience in animal advocacy (+3% for each year). In addition, the salary increases with your seniority in Open Cages according to the following model:

+ 7% – for every year worked at Open Cages during the first 5 years of work

+ 5% – for every year worked at Open Cages during the next 5 years of work

+ 3% – for every year worked at Open Cages during the next 5 years of work

About your role

SIGNPOSTING AND FOODBANK SESSION COORDINATOR

Lambeth & Croydon Foodbank (part of Oasis Hub Waterloo)

FULL-TIME or PART-TIME: 32-40 HOURS PER WEEK

FIXED-TERM CONTRACT: 12 months, although will be extended if funding continues

SALARY: £33,422 for 1FTE

We have an exciting opportunity for a Signposting and Collection Session Coordinator as part of our Foodbank team. This new role will provide dedicated 1-2-1 support to people accessing the Foodbank, delivering Foodbank collection sessions and developing our remote and in-person signposting and support for those accessing the Foodbank. This is a fast-faced, person-centered role, having a direct impact on the lives of local people experiencing hardship

Key responsibilities of this role will be:

• Providing operational support to Foodbank collection centres in host venues across Lambeth and Croydon
• Providing and developing wraparound support to those accessing the Foodbank
• Delivering and developing in-person and remote signposting
• Working with volunteers, partner organisations and host venues to provide effective and efficient support through collection sessions and beyond

The successful post holder must have:

• Proven experience of working or volunteering within a not-for-profit organisation/other food bank
• Experience working with people with multiple and complex needs
• Excellent communication skills

We are looking for a proactive Rent Services Partner to join the dynamic and friendly Rent Service Team, playing a key role in the organisation to support clients to rebuild their lives. This busy team processes Housing Benefit payments from 55 local authorities in the UK for up to 4000 St Mungo’s residents; and collect over £45 million in rent and service charge. 

In the role of Rent Service Partner, you will:

• Deliver a high quality rent collection and arrears recovery service, supporting our clients by working towards minimising rent arrears and maximising client income.
• Complete accurate court applications and present cases to court. 
• Oversee a busy and varied case load of rent arrears cases ensuring outcomes are achieved in a timely manner.
• Provide an accurate, sensitive and responsive rent account enquiry and information service.
•  Work closely with key stakeholders, being the lead liaison with Local Authorities for a designated caseload.

You will be required to work flexibly for at least 2 days per week from our Central Office in Tower Hill, London. This allows for in person collaboration, team building, line management and other relationship building opportunities. We support a flexible approach to work with opportunities for agile working for the rest of your week; from home, or other St Mungo’s London or regional locations. 

About you

We are looking for someone with good problem solving skills and the ability to work as part of a team. If you can demonstrate the below, we encourage you to apply.

• Experience of working in a rent service, income collection or credit control team and overseeing a case load of rent arrears cases providing quality advice and support in a busy target driven role.
• Experience of presenting cases to court and knowledge of the court system and legal process relating to debt recovery.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to build effective liaison with tenants, internal and external stakeholders.
• Proven ability of using relevant software packages (e.g. Pyramid Rent Accounting) and other IT applications and databases, such as Microsoft Office.
