PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Personal Assistant (PA) to the Rector at St Aldates plays a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing smooth and efficient operation of the Rector’s office. This role involves managing a wide range of administrative and organisational tasks to support the Rector.
The PA will ensure the Rector’s office continues to be organised, focused, and will support the Rector’s ministry responsibilities by managing administrative tasks, coordinating events, and ensuring clear communication. This position is essential for maintaining the smooth operation of the church and supporting its mission to serve the congregation and the wider community.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITES
Correspondence and Diary Management
- Attend regular correspondence meetings throughout the week: Take dictation, draft, and shadow-write email responses on behalf of the Rector.
- Flexible and careful management of the Rector’s diary: Schedule appointments, meetings, and events, ensuring optimal time management.
- Manage tickets, travel, and accommodation: Organise logistics for conferences and trips.
- Welcome visiting groups and guests: Show warm hospitality to visitors throughout the year.
- Respectfully handle confidential and emotionally sensitive information: Including safeguarding cases.
- Assist the Rector with deadlines, time management, and meeting attendance: Ensure the Rector is well-prepared and punctual.
Communication Management
- Attend weekly team meetings: Take notes, communicate key messages, and organize follow-up actions.
- Weekly Services meeting: Capture dates for wedding banns and special services (e.g., Easter, Christmas).
- Prepare and distribute weekly Keynotes: Facilitate clear messaging for Sunday services.
- Manage the overall Preaching Rota: Include regular Sunday Services and special services such as Lent and Advent.
- Attend and input in additional meetings on the Rector’s behalf: Represent the Rector as needed.
- Maintain communication with the Diocese of Oxford: Particularly regarding Sunday service statistics.
- Regularly update the Services Register: Ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Special Projects Management
- Work alongside the Events Team when needed.
- Undertake special projects and assignments as directed by the Rector.

At Youth Action Alliance (YAA), our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present and promote their ambitions for the future. We are ambitious to grow, to continue supporting more young people and influence positive change. To do this we are looking to appoint a Business Support Officer to provide a range of financial support duties and administer the organisation’s general ledger and finance system.
This post will provide high-quality support to the technology and operations of the organisation, to ensure the smooth running of the main site and enable YAA to meet and deliver on its core objectives and obligations. The post holder will provide administrative support to YAA, covering a wide range of tasks and activities including (but not limited to) procurement coordination, travel and logistics, department meetings and off-site activities, diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking for our board and meetings for staff, members and stakeholders.
General Requirements

● To process all organisational income and expenditure and maintain and update all financial documentation accurately

Purpose of the role
At NEON we believe that organising is crucial if we’re to build the power we need to win a new economy and deepen cross-community solidarity at a time of political polarisation. A central part of our new strategy - and this role - is to support movement organisations and organisers to build their capacity to do what we call Transformative Organising - where we transform the conditions we live in, transform ourselves and transform who has power in society. We use a combination of trainings, 1-2-1 mentoring and strategic partnerships with movement organisations to give organisers the tools, skills and confidence they need to build a base with those at the sharp end of the crisis, develop politically conscious leaders, and plan strategic & escalating campaigns that win. You’ll work with our Head of Organising and colleagues in the Movement Building Hub to scale up this offer over the coming years, with a particular focus on the housing, climate and migration movements, as well as supporting movements to tackle a rising far-right.
What you will be doing

Deliver organising trainings to social movement organisers and campaigners, using content from our Transformative Organising programme and working closely with our Head of Organising and NEON trainers. These will be a mix of shorter workshops and multi-day trainings, blending in-person and online delivery, and you will be supported to experiment with different delivery models to meet movement needs.

Work in partnership with organisers, organisations and coalitions to build their organising capacity over the long-term, through ongoing mentoring and hands-on support and training.

Conduct extensive 1-2-1s with movement organisers, to strengthen relationships, explore opportunities for collaboration and understand movement needs.

Support the development of a network of UK-based organisers, and create spaces for collective learning and ensure NEON’s organising offer meets the needs of organisers on the ground.

Work with the Head of Organising to periodically review and update NEON’s Transformative Organising content, staying responsive to movement needs and incorporating the latest organising practices and tools.

Organise public events on organising topics, including webinars and workshops, bringing together organisers from across social movements

Contribute to the Movement Building Hub’s wider work, including the organising components of our Worker-led Transition programme and our work to build the strategic capacity of movement leaders and organisations. This role will also contribute to cross-organisational work in NEON’s key focus areas (migration, housing, climate, and tackling the rise of the far-right), as well as projects to support the development of NEON’s internal culture.

What You’ll Do
• Trusts & grants: Work with the Development & Communications Manager to write and submit compelling funding applications to trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies to secure new and repeat funding.

About the Role

The Role
Deliver end to end planning and event day activities for both virtual and face to face events within the high-value (10k-1m) events portfolio. The merger of Fight for Sight and Vision Foundation on 1st April 2023 has enabled us to address both questions. By combining our strengths and expertise we are now the only significant national funder with the efficiency, capability, and capacity to increase investment in medical research and social improvement. Together we can mitigate both the prevalence and impact of sight loss.

Role Responsibilities:
Individual Giving
- Support the Individual Giving Manager with day-to-day communications with our donor base, including timely database administration to capture communication preferences and personal details.
- Support the Database Manager with data and financial processes, including recording and batching donations, generating reports, contributing to supporter journeys and reconciling income.
- Undertake research into new projects and areas of fundraising and highlight areas of potential opportunities to raise income and ensure continuous supporter engagement.
- Liaise with design and print suppliers to deliver appeals and other campaigns.
- Support the Individual Giving team in-person in the office, with the processing of direct marketing appeal responses, including banking of donations and sending thank you letters.
- Work with the Individual Giving Managers to implement supporter journeys to encourage further support to the organisation.
Events and Community
- Use a CRM database to effectively administer and manage event and community activities.
- To be an ambassador at all events, supporting the delivery of our vision and ensuring that the charity’s profile and reputation are enhanced.

Wider fundraising
- Answering inbound calls as part of the head office call team, at least two days per week, and responding to or triaging enquiries to be resolved in a timely manner.
- Working with suppliers to help design, proof and order new and replacement fundraising materials (fundraising packs, t-shirts, collecting boxes etc) as necessary.
- Act as the first point of contact for external enquiries and manage internal post, including sorting incoming post and organising outgoing fundraising post from head office.
- Work with the Communications team to ensure social media posts and other promotion opportunities are carefully planned and well executed.
- Work alongside the high value team Partnerships Assistant on key events and appeal tasks when required.
- Provide general administration support across the fundraising team as required.

Rainbow Migration is the longest-running charity in Europe dedicated to supporting LGBTQI+ people through the asylum and immigration system and has been campaigning for their rights since 1993. We are recruiting for an Operations Officer to play a key role in supporting the effective day-to-day operations of the organisation.
This is an exciting time to join the organisation. We have grown rapidly in recent years from a small charity generating £200k income in 2019 to £1M in 2024. We are now expanding our operations team to support the larger staff team and delivery of our strategy.
This role will support the organisation’s ongoing development by helping ensure the charity has necessary systems in place and operates in line with its policies and procedures. You will support the organisation’s IT systems, digital transformation, HR, finance and administrative processes. Your responsibilities will include:

Role overview
Contract type: Permanent
Hours: Full-time (35 hours per week). Working part-time (minimum 21 hours) will be considered. Occasional work in the evenings and at weekends may be required but with plenty of notice. Rainbow Migration encourages staff to maintain a good work life balance and has a TOIL system in place.
Salary: Starting at £31,294 with potential annual step increases up to £35,086 (pro rata if working part time), plus statutory employer’s pension contribution. In addition to an annual step increase, we consider giving a separate inflationary increase every April.
Location: Rainbow Migration’s wheelchair accessible offices are located between Vauxhall and the Oval, London. This role will have an office-based contract but the postholder can choose to work from home for part of the week in agreement with their line manager as per our hybrid working policy. You must be available to work from our offices in London when necessary. The successful candidate would also be welcome to work from the office full-time if that is their preference.
