What is the role?
This is a strategic leadership role where you’ll oversee our commercial income portfolio, including 18 retail shops, our warehouse and logistics operations, and emerging income streams. You’ll lead a dynamic team and create innovative business strategies to grow our commercial income from £6 million to £9 million over the next five years.

We’re looking for a highly skilled and organised administrator to join our Retail Transport team for a 9-month fixed term contract.

The Role
We are recruiting for a Community Fundraising Manager to join our Fundraising team. The role will be instrumental in the Foundation’s engagement with different communities and building fundraising partnerships across a range of community audiences, including youth and education, sports clubs, community groups and individuals doing their own activities. You will be responsible for growing our existing community products such as Turn Cricket Red as well as introducing new products and initiatives to generate growth in Community Fundraising. - Project Manage the delivery of the community fundraising programme at RSF, leading on activity working group meetings, coordinating with key stakeholders to ensure campaigns, activities and events are managed efficiently
- Work closely with the schools lead and school manager to grow our schools fundraising programme – working collaboratively so the training programme objectives are also met
- Develop a long-term growth strategy for Turn Cricket Red – focused on maximising current opportunities as well as diversifying to increase our reach
- Deliver high value supporter stewardship to increase lifetime value and impact of their fundraising
- Build and maintain a variety of community relationships across varying stakeholders and seniority, ensuring opportunities for growth are maximised
- Alongside the team, co-ordinate event/activity logistics including but not limited to sales, bookings and liaison with supporters and suppliers, material production, promotion, set up, and delivery
- Oversee relationship with key providers of event fundraising mechanisms such as online donation platforms, auction platforms and text to donate services
- Work with colleagues to ensure all events are adequately supported with staff, volunteers and hosts, and that all stakeholders receive appropriate training/ briefing and post event debriefs
- Work with the Head of MarComms and Digital to produce engaging fundraising collateral and information for event and community supporters including pre and post event communications/marketing collateral, working with external production companies where required
- Ensure all events and activities are compliant with fundraising code of conduct, GDPR and other event processes/policies
- Oversee the use of the CRM system to ensure data is recorded in compliance to Data Protection and GDPR and maximises output for supporter journeys
- Use sector trends and audience analysis to direct strategy and ensure that RSF remains innovative and at the forefront of Community fundraising

About the Ruth Strauss Foundation
In early 2018, Ruth Strauss, the wife of Sir Andrew Strauss the former England cricket captain, was diagnosed with an incurable lung cancer that affects non-smokers. Ruth died on December 29th 2018; she was 46 years old and mother to two children, then aged 10 and 13.

As Head of Estates & Capital Projects, you will play a vital leadership role in the strategic management and development of our historic and high-profile site on London’s Bankside. About the Role:
As the Delivery and Volunteer Support Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the work of the Educational Partnerships team in London and the SE. This means you'll be supporting our work with schools that serve young people from areas with the greatest barriers to social mobility. Your mission will be to ensure YE’s programmes in London and the SE are delivered effectively and ensure our volunteers feel well supported throughout their volunteer journey with YE.
You’ll be a key member of YE’s Educational Partnerships Regional Team, collaborating closely with Educational Partnerships Managers, the Educational Partnerships Regional Manager, the Volunteering Team and National Fundraising to support the success of our enterprise and financial education programmes. These programmes are designed to help young people make positive contributions to their communities and society, while equipping them with the tools to shape their own future.
This is a dynamic and rewarding role where no two days are the same. There is a degree of manual handling and you may be required to work some evenings and weekends. You will engage directly with internal and external stakeholders and take responsibility for several reporting and administration processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Nurture Relationships: Cultivate and expand internal and external relationships that facilitate the delivery of YE’s programmes and services effectively.
- Volunteer Management: Identify, recruit and locally train event-based volunteers. This will include harnessing excellent relationships with volunteers, ensuring that our volunteers are supported on their journey with YE.
- Event support: Manage all the logistics for various events that occur as part of YE’s programmes over the course of an academic year. Including, launches, training, trade fairs and showcases.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Work alongside your regional team to achieve shared KPIs, contributing to the success of the region and the wider organisation.
- Safeguarding: Undertake training and ensure YE’s safeguarding policy is adhered to at all times.
- Tech-Savvy: Competence in using IT tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

Our Haig team is looking for a passionate and proactive Fundraising Officer to help grow our income and build strong corporate and commercial partnerships. Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and Communications team, you’ll play a key role in securing support from trusts, grants, corporates, individuals, and legacy giving. You will:
- Act as the Trust’s Fundraising Officer, responsible to the Fundraising Manager and members of the Communications team.
- Be responsible for trust and foundation funding applications and other bids and proposals, liaising with other departments to ensure that relevant information is provided in support of bids.
- Be responsible for challenge events and in supporting those fundraising on behalf of the charity.
- Liaise internally and externally with colleagues and third parties in the pursuit of fundraising from corporate bodies, individuals (incl high net worth), the organising and execution of fundraising and other events, including logistics, risk assessments and overseeing volunteers, and in procuring branded and other marketing materials and resources.
- Assist in raising awareness of the Charity’s fundraising activities and events using social media, the website and printed materials, including their research and updating. To contribute to the charity’s printed newsletter for its beneficiaries, and other e-newsletters.
- Assist with the department’s legacy programme.
- Assist in monitoring of and the subsequent reporting to grant providers of funding received and the impact and benefit derived, including the production of beneficiary case histories.
- Working closely with the Fundraising Manager and the Communications team lead on establishing and running a new supporter/fundraising database, for which necessary training will be provided.
- Assist the Fundraising Manager with media and PR and in ensuring the maintenance of good external liaison with the media.
- Assist the Fundraising Manager in maintaining good external liaison with other Veterans charities, including the organisation and running of events that promote the charity, incl Armed Forces Day and Armistice Day.
- Oversee the charity’s Community Fund which supports its beneficiary communities, liaising with the Fundraising Manager.
To be successful, you should also have the following:
- A degree (or equivalent).
- Extensive computer literacy with experience in MS Office and digital marketing systems, together with excellent administrative, data protection, numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience in using MS SharePoint.
- Demonstrable experience in fundraising, including from trust and grant applications, corporates, legacies, events and individuals.
- Knowledge and experience of running challenge and other events.
- Marketing and communications experience including updating websites, using social media and in the production and editing of both electronic and printed publications.
- Knowledge of the charity sector and fundraising trends in particular.
- Knowledge of/experience in the British Armed Forces (or a willingness to learn).
- Demonstrable enthusiasm for fundraising and a keenness to develop and expand your knowledge and experience in this chosen career: a problem solver, able to work to tight deadlines.
- Evidence of a proactive, collaborative & agile mindset, able to build relationships, trust & credibility with colleagues and external partners and stakeholders.
