The Role

Main purpose of the role:
The Volunteer Coordinator will provide effective coordination, administration and support to volunteers including recruitment and orientation. You will link with local groups and volunteer networks to promote opportunities within L'Arche. The Volunteer Coordinator will be creative in the identification and development of roles that use volunteers' skills to bring friendship and other benefits to the Community.
Key essential criteria
- Knowledge of social care organisations, the third sector and issues facing adults with learning disabilities;
- Experience of volunteering (ideally within the social car sector) and volunteer management or HR or coaching;
- Experience of maintaining databases: accurately recording information, reporting and identifying errors in data;
- Competent in using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint);
- Supportive and enthusiastic about working with an organisation which is both a high quality service provider and an ecumenical Christian community open to people of all faiths and none;
- Self-motivated and ability to manage own workload on a daily basis and be accountable for the delivery of own workload;
- Satisfactory enhanced DBS record check;

Age UK is currently recruiting for a passionate Senior Corporate Partnerships Executive to join our award-winning Partnership Management team.
As Senior Corporate Partnerships Executive you will help manage and deliver key areas of activity with a 7 figure, multi-year corporate partner for Age UK - Dunelm. We anticipate this will be circa 80% of the role. The remaining time will be managing a portfolio of smaller corporate partners for us. Going above and beyond to ensure that our corporate partners feel valued and connected to our cause, you'll use your creativity and networking skills to identify future growth opportunities that match the mission and priorities of Age UK and older people.
With a strong passion to support older people, solid account management experience, and excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills; as a Senior Corporate Partnerships Executive you'll be able to manage diverse projects and have a proven track record in securing income.
This is a hybrid opportunity, a blend of homebased and office working. Our linked office for this role is in London and you would be expected to attend the office once a week (Thursday) for the Corporate Partnership team day. The role may involve occasional travel, including some overnight stays.

Join Cadet Digital Service as our Quality Assurance Engineer and play a pivotal role in ensuring the UK’s Cadet Forces MIS and associated web apps are maintained to an exceptional standard. We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our Agile Delivery team. You will deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy in line with the hub’s local community priorities and work with people who are experiencing homelessness and bad housing to identify issues facing local communities. You will plan and deliver casework to individuals and communities to resolve their housing situation and engage with community groups, local organisations and individuals to understand local housing issues and raise awareness of people’s rights.
You will also work in local community settings and with community groups to deliver advice and rights awareness workshops and make sure that people with lived experience of homelessness have opportunities to share their story, give their opinions and participate in the design and delivery of Shelter services. Offering day to day support to volunteers, providing learning, shadowing and mentoring and being a consistent role model for our values are also key aspects of the role.
About you
You are able to listen to, engage and work with individuals and communities and with all stakeholders, including people with lived experience of homelessness. You will have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy and are able to progress to specialist level knowledge, as well as the ability to carry out casework related interviews, maintain detailed case records, advise and support clients to make informed decisions. A proven record of delivering group workshops and presentations is essential, as is a collaborative, flexible and professional approach to your work.

London Hub’s priorities are improving the practice of local authorities and Registered Social Landlords and focussing on households disproportionately affected by the housing emergency.
There are currently around 60 individuals working in the Hub, including the Strategic Lead, Lead Solicitor, Service Managers, Team Leaders, Solicitors, Legal Advisors, Housing Rights Workers and Support Workers, Family Support Workers, DIY Skills Advisors, Administrators and Receptionist.
