Key Responsibilities:

We’re looking for an experienced Marketing and Communications Officer to join our Marcoms Team. The Head of Research enables successful delivery of the organisation’s ground-breaking Research Strategy. They will provide vital leadership, strategic direction and day to day management of the MS Society’s research programme as well as leadership of the Research Team.

This is an exciting new opportunity to help Cambridge City Foodbank (CCFb) grow and develop the talent and skills of its large volunteer workforce. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will have a critical impact on CCFb’s ability to meet the need for emergency and affordable food. This post builds on the findings of CCFb’s externally commissioned Volunteer Learning Project.
Main Duties:
● Lead the recruitment, retention and development of the volunteer workforce; working to support Team Leaders, and to ensure there is clarity of responsibility and accountability.
● Oversee the Volunteer Development Team, including recruiting to vacant posts, line management of the team and the team’s workflow. The team comprises of 3 x Volunteer Administrators specialising in volunteer recruitment, volunteer journey and supermarket collection days.
● Coordinate the special supermarket collection day volunteer teams, that take place periodically throughout the year.
● Complete the transition to the ‘Assembly’ volunteer database and oversee the maintenance of accurate records.
● Create and deliver an action plan which builds on the findings of the Volunteer Learning Project (with the support of the CEO and Operations Manager) in the following areas:
o Living the Ethos – ensuring our Vision, Mission and Values are understood and embraced by our volunteers
o Connection & Community – creating strong connections with the organisation and a sense of community across the whole volunteer supporter base.
o Diversity, Inclusion and Lived Experience – proactive action to engage diverse communities in volunteering, including widening age, ethnicity, and lived experience.

Technical skills and minimum knowledge:

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Service Manager to step into the role of Domestic Abuse Refuge Manager and lead our service in West London. This is a 9-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave from February 2025. You will work with a passionate and committed team focused on delivering essential support and safe accommodation to women and children at risk of domestic abuse. In this role, you will guide the ongoing development of the service and the team, ensuring the highest standards of care and best practices are maintained throughout this crucial period.
Penrose Women's Refuge provides support and accommodation to women and children at risk of domestic abuse. The Children and Family Worker will work in partnership with the mums and support mentor to ensure holistic and trauma informed support for children living in the service. This includes developing a range of age appropriate activities, support with accessing schooling and education and supporting the mums during a challenging time. As a team, you will work to develop a structure and a safe space for women and children to heal and thrive. Due the the nature of the service the post code has been removed however, service is based in West London.
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 9:00AM - 17:00PM, Onsite this is a service based role. You will also be required to take part in our rota for out of hours on call duty.
Salary: £37,000

About the role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our talented team as a Dementia Adviser. In this integral role you will provide dementia knowledge and expertise within Milton Keynes.
(You will need be able to travel across the Milton Keynes area independently.)
You will be there to:
- Offer a vital and compassionate information, guidance and support to guide those affected by dementia
- Provide dementia support face-to-face, by telephone and online.
- Managing referrals, assisting clients in assessing their information and support needs in a person-centred manner.
- Facilitate face-to-face group services for people affected by dementia.
- Developing a proactive approach in reaching people with dementia and carers who may not otherwise access our services.
- Work closely with health, adult social care and third sector colleagues assessing, signposting, and providing information and guidance to support people affected by dementia.
- Build robust working relationships and develop networking opportunities with a range of local partners and community organisations.
About you
We are looking for an exceptional individual, with an to deliver advice and guidance to those with memory loss, dementia and the needs of those affected with these conditions. We are looking for someone who is approachable and knowledgeable to cover the Milton Keynes area.
We need you to have;
- The ability to travel independently across the Milton Keynes area

- An understanding of the need for client confidentiality
- Excellent non-judgmental communication skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good IT skills and experience working with patient or client databases

As Zoteria Coordinator, you will be a key part of a team of driven, passionate people who deliver our international project work. What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is:

This is a maternity cover role with a fixed-term contract of twelve months.
Given the close connection with women who have faced trauma and experienced violence, it is a Genuine Occupational Requirement (as set out in the Equality Act 2010) for the postholder to be female.
Please note that this is one of two maternity cover posts currently advertised by Strength & Stem. We are also looking for an Interim CEO (maternity cover post).
Role Title: Interim Programme Director
Reports to: Interim CEO
Hours: 0.6 or 0.8 FTE. This is the equivalent of three or four days a week (22.5-30 hours) but there is mutual flexibility in the structure of how these hours are agreed. Attendance at programme-related activities in Kings Cross, London, at some evening meetings and the occasional weekend (Saturday) work will be required.
Salary: £40,000 pro rata (equating to £24,000 for three days a week or £32,000 for four days per week). Reasonable programme-related travel expenses will be covered (this does not include accommodation).
Location: Hybrid working. Your normal place of work will be from home. However, you will be required to attend all in-person programme-related activities. All in-person work takes place in London (mostly in King’s Cross). In-person activities average to about four times per month across the year.

About Strength & Stem
Strength & Stem is a charity and social enterprise that uses floristry to help female modern slavery survivors experience restoration and empowerment.
Our core programme, “Flowers for the Future”, is led by a small staff team and runs annually from May to January in Kings Cross London. Over nine months, participants complete vocational floristry training, prevocational and wellbeing skills training, mentorship, and work experience to increase their agency, strengthen relationships and wellbeing, and become prepared for employment. Working with flowers, participants gain valuable skills, build a brighter future, and engage with a therapeutic tool to support their healing from trauma.
Ultimately, our vision is to see survivors restored from their trauma, empowered for the future, and able to sustain a good quality of life.
