The Role
We are looking for an experienced HR Generalist to carry out project work; specifically to carry out a policy review and to develop our newly implemented HR system, as well as provide support across the HR team as required.
Working with key stakeholders and HR colleagues we would like the right person to shape, develop and deliver these HR plans and solutions in line with the needs and priorities of Volunteering Matters.
CIPD qualified to a minimum of level 5, with a proven ability to support an organisation through change, you must have excellent up to date knowledge of UK employment law and extensive experience of developing and managing policies and procedures related to an HR function.
Working in a friendly team of 4, reporting to the Head of HR and working with the HR Coordinator and HR Administrator, you will be a vital part of the HR function with a focus on the specific projects but must have a flexible approach and be able to change priorities as required, supporting the team with other activities, including but not limited to: recruitment, induction, employee relations matters, learning & development and manager upskilling.

Location
This role is flexible and will be homebased and/or office based or a mixture of both, depending on your location. The role may require very occasional travel where a case needs to be supported in person. Your working pattern will be agreed with your line manager upon commencement of the role. You will require good internet access to enable remote working, and a suitable home office/workspace. IT equipment and infrastructure will be supplied.

The Philanthropy Writing team creates high-impact written materials to help secure substantial philanthropic funding for the University of Oxford. As Philanthropy Writer, you will join a small team of communications professionals dedicated to crafting compelling proposals in support of the University’s vital work in teaching and research.
About the role
- You will write and edit compelling bespoke proposals, cases for support and other materials to help raise significant philanthropic funds for University priorities
- You will work with fundraising colleagues, senior leaders and academics to convey philanthropic priorities in an accessible and persuasive manner
- You will provide advice and support for the various fundraising teams in relevant areas such as writing, University brand and style, and appropriate sourcing and use of images
To be successful you’ll need:
- A flair for, and experience of writing in a persuasive, clear and succinct style
- A talent for juggling multiple projects and working to a variety of deadlines while taking a meticulous approach to checking and proofreading copy

The Operations & Learning Associate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations, providing logistical, technical and administrative support across the full range of FSC activities. The role will also contribute to a culture of continual learning and improvement through coordinating the implementation of FSC’s Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Framework, administering regular feedback and learning surveys.

Our Local Organiser will be responsible for developing the foodbank’s capacity to organise and campaign for change. You will do this by building the skills and confidence of food bank clients, volunteers and staff and community members to campaign locally. Local Organisers build relationships with foodbank users to identify some of the issues driving poverty in the community and to bring people together to take action on those issues.
You will develop and lead a volunteer campaign team to create a campaign strategy and lead on the delivery of the strategy to win change, while developing leaders in your foodbank. This role is funded by Trussell as part of their Organising Programme, and you will be part of a network of Local Organisers around the UK doing this work. You will be the link between your foodbank and the Organising and Local Mobilisation team at Trussell, as we build a movement to end the need for food banks.
Ealing Foodbank is a small local charity in the London Borough of Ealing. The Christian faith underpins everything that Ealing Foodbank does and stands for as expressed in our Vision, Mission and Values statement. We provide 3 days worth of long life foods to Ealing families and individuals who are referred to our service. Those who use the foodbank also benefit from free advice, delivered onsite in our foodbank locations. We are part of the Trussell network, linked to other foodbanks all over the UK.
