You will be able to put your experience of adult education and learning into practice, by supporting the implementation of the Diocesan Strategy (Anti Racism Charter) through the establishment of a racial justice training pathway and the creation of racial justice resources that can be accessed and utilised across the Diocese by Diocesan staff, parishes, and schools.
This will include:
- Evaluating our current Unconscious Bias training programme and implement the lessons learned.
- Delivering racial justice training to parishes and Diocesan staff, particularly Unconscious Bias training.
- Develop the “Train the Trainers” approach and support the training of parish leaders and diocesan staff in becoming racial justice training trainers
- Identify training and resources needs for a variety of stakeholders
- Research and identify new models to be incorporated into a training pathway including in the areas of theology, power, privilege and prejudice.
- Liaise with other Dioceses and the National Church to learn from and seek best practice for racial justice training content and delivery.
- Work with other members of the department to establish a coordinated training programme that offers both face-to-face training and eLearning.
- Develop and maintain an evaluation process for training, including the development of impact indicators.
- Review existing racial justice resources and produce/commission the development of new resources that can be used both locally and national, such as toolkits, cultural occasional offices guide, liturgical resources and school-aged resources for young people and leaders.
- Be an advocate for Racial Justice within Diocesan structures, identifying and promoting best practice regarding racial justice, diversity, and inclusion.

Working closely with the Team Manager, you will provide support and supervision to a team of dedicated and experienced social workers. In addition, you will carry your own small caseload and deputise for the Team Manager as needed.
You should be a qualified registered social worker, with at least 3 years’ child social care experience including adoption experience. Skilled at undertaking more complex assessments, your own standards of practice will be consistently high, and you will work with the child at the centre of all that you do. With excellent communication skills, you’ll be a confident networker, able to build successful working relationships within your own team, across the service and with external professionals.

We have a highly skilled team of 30 full-time employees in Malawi implementing this work, based out of two offices in the Northern Region. Our UK office in Bristol comprises a small fundraising and operations team of seven staff (two team members are full-time, all other team members are part-time), 3-5 regular volunteers and interns, and a wider family of volunteers and supporters.
Temwa UK has an experienced and high functioning board of Trustees who are very engaged. The board member who oversees the fundraising portfolio is very active, providing support to the Fundraising & Development Manager and the fundraising team as a whole.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Managing the fundraising strategy and donor relations with oversight of the fundraising office
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the charity’s income generation strategy, ensuring targets are achieved.
- Align the fundraising strategy with the communications and marketing strategy.
- Act as the organizational expert on income generation, leading the team to expand all relevant fundraising streams.
- Maintain and enhance current income streams, including trust fundraising, corporate fundraising, high value donors, and individual giving.
- Maintain relationships with key donors and their specific requirements.
- Collaborate with the Programme Advisor and Programmes Director in Malawi to align community needs with donor priorities.

- Champion best practices in particular with use of the database, ensuring all legal and compliance standards are met and, where possible, exceeded in fundraising and marketing activities.

Experience, Qualifications, and Requirements:

UCA SU represents 5,200 students, primarily across three main sights at Farnham, Epson and Canterbury. We are an independent democratic charity and membership organisation; we have student leadership at every level.
We're a democratic, membership organisation and all students at the University of Creative Arts are automatically members of the Union. Overall legal responsibility for the Students' Union rests with our Board of Trustees which is made up of three full-time Sabbatical Officers, four student trustees and three external trustees. The Sabbatical officers are elected each year by, and from, the student membership of the university. They take a year out of their studies (or immediately after graduating) to take on a fulltime paid staff role and to serve as a trustee.
We have done a huge amount of work over the last 6 months to turn the organisation around to ensure it is wholly focussed on supporting our diverse membership who study at the three campuses. We have updated our staffing structure to have our expertise equally focussed on each campus and have also changed our sabbatical officer structure to do the same.

The Position
The Director, People Team works closely with Executive Director and the European Senior Leadership Team (ESLT) to lead the European People Team. They are also a member of the People Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and will have a dual reporting line to the VP, People Team. The Director will define, drive, develop, and implement People team strategies and culture change that align with MCE strategy and global People Team priorities in support of Mercy Corps’ transformative Pathways to Possibility (P2P) strategy. Essential Responsibilities

Living / Environmental Conditions

Sitting within the broader Student Voice Department (alongside the Advice Team), you would lead a friendly, talented team of four permanent Student Voice Coordinators (SVCs) who together account for all of the Union’s policy, democratic, representation and campaigning work, alongside a part-time member of student staff.

In addition to overseeing policy and research output, you would be responsible for leading a democratic and governance structure that is so innovative it is currently the source of an international academic study. Accountabilities here would include delivery of our biannual student elections and sector-leading Student Panels.

You will be joining Women in Prison’s new fundraising team which secures funding from a range of sources including individual donors, corporate supporters, and charitable trusts and foundations. We are looking for someone who can work flexibly to support the administrative and operational needs across different areas in the team including major donor giving, individual giving, trusts and foundations and legacy giving.
Day to day tasks will include managing the fundraising team’s administration function, carrying out prospect research, thanking donors and donation tracking, and providing support for various fundraising activities such as supporter/cultivation events. You will also build productive relationships with individual supporters and organisations through the delivery of exceptional supporter care.

The Energy Advice Programme provides:
- advice appointments to fuel poor and vulnerable consumers who are struggling to pay their bills or require better deals on energy
- those who need guidance on the most appropriate payment methods or information on how to access help from energy suppliers and the Government
- Information about Smart Meters
- Information about protecting yourself from Carbon Monoxide
The successful candidate will provide a generalist and energy advice service in a wide range of enquiry areas such as benefits, housing and employment.
You will have excellent communication skills, be confident, motivated and willing to try new things. We’re not looking for the finished article, if you have the right attitude then we can help to develop your skills.
Requirements
- One year’s experience of delivering generalist advice within Citizens Advice or another quality assured environment such as AQS.
- Experience of using interpersonal skills, including sensitive listening and questioning skills to understand the needs of others, especially in the context of telephony.
- Ability to give and receive feedback objectively and sensitively.
- Effective oral and written communication skills, with good IT knowledge to support delivery of service
- Ability and willingness to work both on own initiative and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills and be flexible with service delivery.
- A good understanding of fuel poverty issues and the issues affecting society and their implications for clients and service provision.
- Ability to assist with research and campaigns works by providing information about clients’ circumstances
- Understanding of and commitment to the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice service and its equal opportunities policies.
