Our new Fundraising Manager will work closely with the Board of Trustees, CEO and Senior Leadership Team to scale our impact and expand our reach. They will play a pivotal role in leading fundraising and shaping the charity’s future . We are looking for a determined, skilled, proactive trusts fundraiser to join our small team in this newly created role to help stop children dying suddenly and without explanation.

Tragically, 1-2 seemingly healthy children die in the UK every fortnight, often going to sleep and never waking up. This incidence is unchanging. SUDC UK was founded in 2017 to raise awareness of Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC), encourage and fund scientific research and offer support and advice to affected families.  We believe SUDC research should receive more attention and scientific investment and are inspired by efforts to impact SIDS (cot death), where there has been an 80% reduction in infant deaths in the past 30 years. In the first instance, this will mean supporting the delivery of our lottery-funded project in West Yorkshire through which we’re creating a shared vision for Batley, Heckmondwike and Dewsbury.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Operations and Projects Officer will provide administrative support for the team. You’ll be supporting the day-to-day running of the Foundation, helping to ensure that everything runs smoothly. Within operations, you’ll provide administrative support on everything from finance and HR to fundraising and supporter care.

As a member of the Stronger Communities team, you’ll also provide support for our work building less lonely, better connected communities across the UK, where everyone feels that they belong. This begins with our current lottery-funded Bridging & Belonging project in Kirklees. You’ll act as the main administrator for the project, supporting the Community Group and Yorkshire Programme Manager to lead the work.

This will include setting up meetings, liaising with community venues and services, managing enquiries, answering questions directly and getting responses from colleagues where necessary. The Stained Glass Museum is a vibrant and unique independent accredited museum and registered charity (no. 1169842). The museum operates a permanent public exhibition in a gallery on an upper level of Ely Cathedral which is visited by around 25,000 people per year. The Finance Officer is responsible for maintaining The Stained Glass Museum’s financial accounts. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong management skills and a solid understanding of financial administration, especially within the charity sector.
