As Development Assistant, you will provide administrative support for the Director of Development and senior Development team and team meetings; assist the Development team with fundraising activities and visits; as well as developing and implementing administrative processes and projects to improve the smooth running of the department.

An exciting opportunity to join the Rank Foundation team in London or Penrith as Alumni Development Officer through the Time to Shine leadership programme. This new post has been created to support the development and implementation of a range of activities to engage and connect with the Rank Fellows to foster long lasting relationships. Key accountabilities:
Alumni Programme Research & Development:
- To assist with the identification of and engagement with the wider alumni community
- To implement a range of activities to engage with Rank’s alumni community;
- To design, plan and deliver Fellowship events, webinars, and other programmes that promote networking and professional development opportunities among Fellows/alumni;
- To create and develop relationships with the Fellows/alumni to increase involvement in the Foundation’s activities;
- To administer the mentoring programme connecting older Fellows with younger ones at the beginning of their professional careers;
- To liaise with the Comms team to raise the social media profile of the Rank Fellowship Alumni Network;
- To serve as the primary point of contact for alumni inquiries, communications, and requests;
- To be the secretariat for the Fellows Leadership Team, drafting agendas, minute taking, and following up on actions
- To design, plan and deliver School Leadership events with support from the Finance & Operations Officer
Data & Reporting:
- Manage the Fellowship database, ensuring it is kept up to date
- Send out digital surveys, monitor and track key deliverables;
- Collect achievements and contributions from Fellows to showcase impact;
- Collate and prepare reports based on survey outcomes to assess the effectiveness of the programme.

Purpose of the job/About the role
Join the People team as a Learning and Development Assistant and play a key role in delivering high-quality administrative support to our Learning and Development team. You will provide a customer-focused service, ensuring the smooth running of our learning and development initiatives.
Working closely with the Learning and Development Manager and the wider team, you will help support the ongoing learning, development, and talent management processes at Dementia UK. Your role will include liaising with suppliers to schedule training sessions as part of our Learning Programme, as directed by the Learning and Development Manager. You will also monitor the Learning inbox, ensuring timely responses to queries. You’ll manage the learning request form, ensuring staff are enrolled in Learning Programme courses and escalating external requests to the Learning and Development Manager when necessary.
In addition, you will assist with the onboarding of new starters by setting them up on our learning platforms, such as LinkedIn Learning and iHasco. You will also support key policies and processes related to performance and feedback, including appraisals, 360 feedback, and our recognition scheme. This involves responding to first-line queries and escalating them where appropriate, as well as supporting the delivery of 360 feedback processes and our quarterly recognition awards.
To succeed in this role, you will possess exceptional customer service skills and have a strong understanding of meeting customer needs within a structured policy framework. You should have experience working with Microsoft Office 365 applications and ideally have prior experience working within a busy UK-based L&D, People, or HR team. Charity experience, as well as holding or working towards a CIPD qualification is a plus.

Who are we?
St. John's is a non-maintained specialist provision, working with autistic people, the majority of whom also have learning disabilities. Some of our learners have co-occurring conditions such as epilepsy, hearing or visual impairments, or mental health needs. We also support autistic learners who have an additional profile of Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) syndrome. We have a team built up of support workers, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, nurses, PBS practitioners, assistant psychologists, and more, to support us in our holistic approach to development.

Purpose of the job
The Evaluation & Learning Manager will work closely with the Assistant Director of Research & Impact and internal/external colleagues. You will help the organisation make good decisions and influence others – informed by the best available evidence, analysis of the charity’s impact, learning from organisations, youth practitioners and young people.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of a portfolio of evaluation and learning projects. This will involve conducting research in-house, as well as managing external research partners. You can also expect to have line management responsibility for a direct report and should work closely with other members of the Impact Function to improve our ways of working and meet the organisation’s system change ambitions.
The Impact Function will not evaluate programmes in isolation but rather help to build a cumulative knowledge base that proves and improves the impact of UK Youth’s activities and youth work more generally. Learning and knowledge management is a major component of this role and you will ensure that insights are easily understood and applied to have real world impact.

We are currently looking for an Assistant Head of Inshore Boating to join our team.
About the role
Sea Cadets deliver life changing opportunities to young people through the challenge and adventure of getting out on the water. The Assistant Head of Inshore Boating is instrumental in facilitating these experiences as part of a team working to support volunteers and colleagues across the UK, with a focus on our five activities of dinghy sailing, paddlesport, powerboating, rowing and windsurfing. The post will require experience of dealing with people of all ages/backgrounds, in the management of delivering activities, equipment/facilities and supporting the development of instructors.
We are looking for a passionate practitioner, with a background in delivering both on and off the water, and in-depth experience of operating procedures and governing documentation. Experience of working with young people is essential.
Responsibilities
· Lead on developing our boating/watersports framework
· Support volunteer led activity across the UK in delivering life affirming on the water experiences to young people.
· Support the Head of Inshore in the development and delivery of assurance and safety of Boating.
· Day to day Line management of the office team
· Collaborate with the wider Inshore team to support central training, particularly Instructor Training.
Requirements
· A qualified watersports practitioner at or approaching Trainer/Tutor level
· An in depth understanding of operating procedures and documentation
· Experience of watersports at a strategic level
Desirable
· Experience or knowledge of youth and/or uniformed organisations

Key Responsibilities for this role
- To support the Service Development Manager, Skills and Activities Coordinator, Support Staff and Volunteers in leading the development of the Stud Nursery as a viable social enterprise
- To ensure there is a weekly, monthly and seasonal horticulture plan in place (created in partnership with the Support Workers) which reflects the resources needed for client activities, product sales development and events
- To advise and support the Skills and Activities Coordinator in developing practical skills and/or qualification for people/groups using and supporting the sites development to encourage independence and empowerment
- To mentor and coach those using the sites services to lead and shape the sites programme of development as a sustainable community space and social enterprise.
- Work one Saturday per month, as agreed with the Service Development Manager, to open the nursery to volunteer project gardeners, and as a produce sale point to the local community
- In collaboration with the Skills and Activities Coordinator and Admin Support, to ensure all Health and Safety requirements are met, including site and individual risk assessments, and regularly reviewed to ensure a level of professionalism is being kept at all times

Working closely with the prison and their staff, people in prison, Shannon Trust volunteers and mentors, this post will lead the delivery and development of our literacy and numeracy programme at HMP Ashfield, maximising opportunities for people in prison to learn whilst also providing daily assistance in the running of the library.

- To work with the tutor to establish an appropriate learning environment.
