About the role
We’re looking for a Supporter Engagement Assistant with Customer Service experience to join our Central Supporter Engagement Team. What will I be doing?

Overall purpose

You will collaborate with additional fundraisers across Trusts, Statutory, Corporate and Major Gifts to coordinate approaches and maximise opportunities across all functions.

COMMUNITY HUB LEADER
Oasis Hub North Bristol
Full-time (40 hours per week, 1 FTE), Permanent Contract
Salary: £35,217 - £39,647 per annum
Oasis is looking for someone who can combine an entrepreneurial flair and excellent leadership skills to become the next Community Hub Leader supporting the established Hub at North Bristol.
The post holder will lead the development of the Hub, based in the Lawrence Weston area of Bristol supporting the Oasis Academies and wider local community, and to hold the vision of integrated community delivery, which will include a range of services such as family support, volunteering, youth mentoring, deliver a food pantry, community events and a toddler group.
This is a key role as you will be responsible for strategic oversight of the hub charity, ensuring the youth and community work supports the work of the academies, working alongside other local Oasis leaders such as Principals to develop one joined up local vision for the Hub.
A significant part of this role will involve fundraising and business development, working with local people to develop and grow the charity and local community movement.
We are looking for an experienced community leader who enjoys project and budget management, but also has a deep understanding of community work. A degree or professional qualification is valued, but we also value extensive relevant experience and being able to demonstrate an embodiment of our ethos and values.

The Legacy and In Memory Manager will be responsible for growing Legacy and In Memory income to meet agreed annual targets. You will inspire people to give, developing and implementing a strategic cultivation and stewardship programme, building upon, and expanding YHA’s successes to date.
This is a hybrid role, with the post holder expected to be in the office on agreed dates.

What will you be doing?
Working with the Fundraising and Supporter Engagement Team you will be:
- Working with the Senior Individual Giving Manager to develop, manage, and plan to grow Legacy and In Memory donations.
- Ensuring notifications and gifts are dealt with efficiently, appropriately and in a timely fashion.
- Representing and protecting the charity’s interests in the administration of Legacies.
- Delivering effective supporter engagement and cultivation activities and events.
- Working with relevant teams to ensure Legacy asks are included as part of the supporter/customer journey for all types of supporters, donors, volunteers, and staff.
- Managing the implementation of marketing plans for Legacy gifts and In Memory giving.
What Skills and Experience do you need?
- Experience of developing and implementing a Legacy and In Memory strategy, marketing activity and supporter engagement.
- Experience of cultivating legacy pledges.
- Experience of developing and delivering stewardship plans and events for supporters.
- Experience of Legacy administration.
- Experience and understanding of charity law in relation to Legacies/fundraising, gift aid, and information management.
- Experience of working with and managing external agencies.
- Experience of reporting and providing robust analysis to inform decision making.
- Experience of using a CRM database.
- A familiarity of speaking/presenting confidently to supporters and colleagues.
- An understanding of YHA, its Charitable Objects and the sector in which it operates.
- An understanding of the importance of confidentiality and handling sensitive information and situations.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Packages, specifically e-mail, word processing and spreadsheets.
- Ability to travel across the network and to stay overnight when delivering supporter events.
- Results focused whilst displaying integrity in own behaviour and dealings with others.
- Proactive self-starter, with the ability to work on own initiative.
