Hammersmith and Fulham Foodbank is a busy foodbank with 8 foodbank sessions a week across the borough, a support hub in White City and a warehouse near Barons Court.

We are looking for a candidate with excellent customer service experience to join our team of 11 staff and work alongside over 170 volunteers who help run our services across Hammersmith and Fulham.

You will be the front face of our organisation and so a range of high quality skills is required to deal with donors, funders, partner agencies and those needing a foodbank. All our services are delivered with dignity and compassion, but we also have eligibility criteria and limits on what we can offer.

Key responsibilities:

Administration and Customer Service – ensure comprehensive admin support across our departments and with stakeholders externally. Use your high-quality customer service skills to support our clients and their needs.
Resource Management – resource management of our non-food resources across our sites, collaborating with staff and volunteers whilst managing inventory systems and completing required checks.
Home Delivery Admin – support our home delivery requests, liaising with relevant coordinators internally, supporting the effective organisation and delivery of resources, and supporting our volunteers to make successful home deliveries.

Report to: Head of Food Distribution and Volunteering

Responsible for: Leading the food distribution service and quality assurance at Hackney Foodbank’s allocated Food Distribution Centres located across the borough of Hackney. This includes ensuring all our visitors have a positive experience when collecting their food parcels and are signposted to other provisions appropriately; being responsible for directing the volunteers, working closely with the Head of Food Distribution and Volunteering, Health and Safety, and promoting best practice at each centre. This role will also involve administrative tasks, organising and carrying out home deliveries for visitors, inputting data on visitors’ journeys accurately into a database, driving the Hackney Giving Van occasionally and regularly driving a Luton van to the various Distribution Centres.

Part-time: 25 hours per week, evening and/or weekend work is required

Salary: £27,500 per year (pro-rata for 25 hours per week)

Compulsory: Must have a UK manual driving licence

Specific responsibilities:

· Attend Hackney Foodbank’s Food Distribution Centres to ensure each Centre is run in accordance with HFB’s best practice procedures.

· Treat visitors to the Food Distribution Centres with the utmost respect

· Work with volunteers to ensure a safe and efficient setup, including H&S responsibilities

· Manage all volunteers on site delivering services

• Manage stock at the shop safely and effectively, supported by the Food Shop Manager and leading a team of Restocking Volunteers (70%)

Feed The Hungry UK is an international charity supporting projects across the world and locally focused on supporting Coventry Foodbank, and other projects across Hinckley, Warwickshire and Leicestershire.

Main responsibilities.

Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all internal and external financial processing and reporting and full compliance with all covenants, laws and regulations, including Charity Commission, HMRC and Companies House regulations.

1. Lead, motivate, develop and train the finance team, promoting an equal, diverse and inclusive team with a positive culture reflecting the values of Feed The Hungry. 

2. Ensure Feed The Hungry operates sound financial, risk management, and internal control systems and maintains up-to-date Financial Regulations to safeguard stakeholders' interests and assets and to ensure the integrity of the organisation’s financial performance and statements. 

3. Provide effective day-to-day oversight of the organisation’s financial controls and financial performance including keeping financial policies up to date and in line with our processes.

4. As Company Secretary, support governance activities, including administration for board meetings, trustee enquiries and administrative duties for the board. 

5. Be alert to all organisational activities that have a financial impact and speedily assess the impact of such activities. 

6. In partnership with the CEO and Directors, develop and support in the delivery of the organisation's strategic plan and the related budgets and forecasts.

Hours, Holidays, Location
