About the role:
This role is based in Portsmouth, operating as a hybrid working model with three days in the office, and two working from home. All travel costs to and from appointments from your office base will be reimbursed.
As a Domestic Abuse Caseworker, you will be:
- Focusing on victims of domestic abuse, providing a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service through individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional & practical support
- Supporting victims face to face or over the telephone to assist them in accessing services to keep them & their family safe
- Developing individual safety plans to meet client's needs as identified in the needs & risk assessment
- Providing advocacy, emotional and practical support and information to victims including exploration of legal & civil options, housing, health and finance and support clients through the criminal justice system
- Participating in multi-agency meetings by being the voice of the client & follow up actions agreed in meetings keeping the client's safety at the forefront of proceedings
You will need:
- A good understanding of domestic abuse & it's impact
- Knowledge of risk assessment, safety planning & risk management
- An understanding of Safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues
- Theoretical, practical & procedural knowledge of civil & criminal justice remedies for victims of domestic abuse
- Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework
- Experience of managing a complex caseload, prioritising work effectively
- Strong crisis management skills & the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations
- Good communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals
- To be able to use various IT applications including, Microsoft Word, Excel etc. and Case Management systems
- This role involves regular travel and due to the location, a driving license and access to a vehicle is considered an essential requirement

- Maintain and develop relationships with local schools and local authorities to refer suitable programme participants

Your skills and experience:

- Experienced in engaging young people from a range of backgrounds, including hard to reach and disadvantaged young people

- RFU ERCA (or equivalent NGB coaching award)

We are excited to pilot a new type of Employment Adviser role in our Services team, focusing on building relationships with local employers to support our job-ready clients in securing employment.

We are seeking candidates with experience in engaging employers and knowledge of the local job market, including finding hidden opportunities.
The primary focus of your role will be helping individuals facing employment barriers, especially those who have experienced forced migration, find paid work. You will manage a fast-paced caseload, providing one-on-one support to clients online, by phone and in person to help them reach their employment goals.
In addition to direct client work, you will assist the team in identifying job opportunities and work with the Senior Services Manager to develop key employer relationships. You will also coordinate your clients access to volunteer-led support, scheduling mock interviews and practice sessions.

The project support officer will support the brilliant work of our Wilder Landscapes team, a small but very active team within Suffolk Wildlife Trust’s conservation department. A lot of the team's work is off-reserve and project based, working with farmers, landowners, communities and projects beyond our nature reserves to protect and restore nature. We are looking for a Centre Coordinator to join our team in our Newcastle Centre. In this role, you will provide a warm and welcoming reception for young people, staff, and visitors over the phone and in person, so if you are approachable, passionate, and non-judgemental, this could be your role.
You will indirectly support young people by ensuring that our Newcastle Centre operates safely and efficiently. You will be responsible for managing delivery space, facilities compliance and controlling office equipment and supplies. Having previous administrative experience is beneficial but not essential.
To be successful in this role, you must have a good understanding of the challenges young people within our target groups face, to assist them when they arrive in our Centre. In this role no two days are the same, you get to be involved with many different functions of the Trust and interact with everyone who works in the Newcastle Centre, this is why planning and organisation skills are a must.

Responsible for a group of young people, for one-on-one support and guidance or just gently pointing them in the right direction. You'll be on a mission to assist with travel expenses and find clever ways to handle their other commitments. You'll champion their support and learning needs with employers, and you'll be the ultimate liaison, working alongside partners like the job centre to ensure that nothing stands in the way of their success!
You’ll also be the guiding light for our employer partners and service providers as we want them to deliver the best experience and outcomes for our young people. High-fives all around! Roll up your sleeves and deliver employability sessions directly to our incredible young people. You'll also help our and volunteers do the same, both in person and virtually through our trusty MS Teams. When we're doing things face-to-face, you’ll need to hit the road and be there in person to help with programme delivery or programme visits to make sure all is running as smoothly as possible.
And if that’s not enough to keep you busy, you’ll also be keeping meticulous records of information and data on our young people, volunteers, and partners. It's all about making sure every step of their journey is accurately reflected in our systems so that it complies with our funding contracts.

We are looking for a Fundraising and Events Coordinator to join our busy team. This entry-level role will work across our organisation and the successful candidate will gain valuable experience in fundraising, event planning and management and marketing.
Children and Families Across Borders will be marking our 70th anniversary in 2024 and will be using this special occasion to leverage funds and raise our profile.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and management of large fundraising events. You will coordinate the event logistics and ensure that each event is successful. Working closely with the Deputy CEO, you will help to promote both events to CFAB’s donors and prospects and research and identify potential event sponsors.
You will also help us to work on our annual online fundraising campaign, The Big Give Christmas Challenge. Working with both the fundraising and marketing team, you will help us to create initial design concepts and draft copy. You will help us to clean and segment donor and prospect data and log all communications on our CRM database.
This position will also play an important role in creating our donor communications throughout the year including regular updates and our annual impact report.
In addition, the candidate will also be responsible for some administrative functions including updating our CRM database, prospect research and collecting data on our services.
This role is being funded by the Rank Foundation’s Time to Shine programme. This is a leadership programme to address both the increasing demands of the social sector to improve business capability skills and to address the wide-spread challenge of under-employment faced by many people.
As well as providing valuable funding for the position, the Time to Shine programme also incorporates a range of personal and professional development activities for the Time to Shine leader, their line manager and in turn, the whole organisation. Are you looking for a part time opportunity working in a role that supports vulnerable adults in Bristol?
We are looking for people to join us as part time peripatetic Project Workers, working over the weekends and bank holidays as part of the Bristol Out of Hours Service (BOOHSI). The service provides out of hours trauma informed support to 5 accommodation services across our mixed and Women’s pathway, aimed at strengthening the existing provision of support to clients with multiple needs and experiencing homelessness.
As an out of hours Project Worker, you will work across different accommodation services to provide weekend support to residents and deliver engaging activities which involve clients. Planning your time well, and taking instruction from managers, staff and on-call managers you will:
- Support lead workers, and work with clients to plan and deliver weekend activities for residents.
- Provide vital support and assistance to clients and be available to listen and deal with people’s individual needs as they arise, providing practical and emotional support to clients in a way that is approachable, engaging and flexible.
- Develop a good knowledge of relevant protocols and safety precautions so that you can appropriately deal with emergency situations that arise during your shift.
- Carry out relevant building and welfare checks and carrying out relevant administrative tasks and incident reporting and handover notes.
- Be provided with training and development to ensure you feel confident to carry out your duties and provide person centred support to clients to meet individual needs, identifying personal aims and ambitions and helping to make plans to achieve them.
- Work on the weekly shift rota with typical shifts on a Saturday and Sunday from 10am -3pm, and some additional bank holidays.

Are you looking for a part time post where you can play a vital role in supporting vulnerable adults in Bristol?

- Be provided with training and development to ensure you feel confident to carry out your duties and provide high quality services to our clients.
- Work on the rotating night shift rota. With typical shifts from 7pm – 1am, 4 nights on and 3 nights off.
