YMCA DownsLink Group is looking for a Building Surveyor to join the Asset Management team. This is a new role in our structure, playing a key part in delivering capital investment programme in line with the business plan – whilst working closely with other members of the team to ensure we maintain compliance and maintenance. This is a great opportunity for a dynamic individual to make this role their own.

As part of the Asset Management team restructure, we have identified a need for a Building Surveyor to assist the Head of Asset Management to deliver Capital Investment programme. By bringing these skills in house, it is hoped to create a more dynamic role with the benefit of ability to oversee upcoming works and provide additional resources to areas we need additional expertise such as dilapidations, disrepair, HHSRS and damp and mould.

You will be involved in the specification writing process (unless specialist consultancy is required) and lead the procurement to ensure we are OJEU compliant in our appointment of the appropriate contractor. You will lead on the delivery of capital investment programme, ensuring planned works are appropriately procured to ensure value for money and adequately experienced/qualified contractors deliver works. You will also undertake and maintain stock condition surveys, undertake building surveys to complete dilapidations, complex repair scoping of works (and specification writing – where appropriate), disrepair, damp and mould inspections (more complex cases) and provision of technical expertise in absence of Head of Asset Management. In addition, you will support colleagues across the business to empower them to confidently make low level decisions themselves.

Specific Responsibilities:

· Through the design and delivery of excellent, engaging and regular stewardship communications and powerful fundraising appeals, you will grow our income and pool of individual supporters making one off or monthly donations. You’ll also explore and implement ways of promoting Rainham Food Bank across the community to successfully attract an ever-greater number of individual donors.

· You’ll engage with local community groups, associations, events, schools and businesses in order to grow Rainham Food Bank’s community fundraising reach and income.

At Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice we care for children and young people whose lives are just too short. Our aim is to reach every family that needs our help and to offer them the very best choice of care. Did you know that every year we need to raise £6.5m to keep our doors open and only around 16% of our income comes from statutory funding? The rest has to be raised through fundraising activity. 

We support families from a large geographical area, including South Yorkshire, North Nottinghamshire, North Derbyshire and parts of North Lincolnshire. The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Income Generation team at Bluebell Wood and we are now on the lookout for a dynamic and driven individual to develop and manage the organisation prize-led fundraising income streams.

Bluebell Wood’s weekly lottery and seasonal raffles are crucial for our care funds. Using your strategic thinking and commercial experience, you will oversee prize-led development and operations, ensuring targeted income levels are achieved in line with relevant governance.

The successful candidate will work alongside the Individual Giving Manager to implement strategies to ensure participation grows year on year in alignment with the business plan, whilst also working to both maximize the net contribution of all Bluebell Wood gambling products and to develop new products with this donor audience in mind.

The requirements:

Our direction of travel is to always be creative and ambitious in our growth, therefore we are looking for somebody who is driven to continually improve and develop our income generation opportunities. 

To fulfil this role effectively you will be target-drive, have experience managing budgets and will develop and implement thought provoking campaigns to engage both current and new supporters to maximise income.

Scripture Union is passionate about seeing a new generation of children and young people have a vibrant, personal faith in Jesus. We are seeking a dynamic and organised Support Worker to work in partnership with key staff across the Movement. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the smooth running of day to day operations of the Central team.

The successful candidate will:

· Act as first point of contact for team enquiries.

· Build relationships and communicate well with Faith Guides, Local Mission Partners and volunteers.

· Book venues (e.g. churches) and oversee administration for events in the region.

· Produce accurate notes of discussions and decisions taken during Regional meetings.

· Assist with the registration and data management of local Faith Guides and volunteers.

· Provide administrative support for holidays, including DBS clearance of volunteers (and attending at least one event to provide first hand support).

· Manage personal data within GDPR and SU guidelines, including records of staff compliance (e.g. safeguarding, first aid).

· Help streamline and improve team communications to supporters, ensuring informative, well presented (print and email) prayer updates are sent regularly within set deadlines.

· Help to keep the Central Team’s page on the Scripture Union website informative and up to date.

· Undertake other administrative, supportive, and promotional tasks, in line with SU’s Revealing Jesus strategy, as required by the Regional Mission Team Leader.

We're seeking an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our team in the role of Brent Service Coordinator. This position plays a pivotal role in the development and delivery of our unique, beloved 1:1 sessions for children with additional needs. We're looking for someone who is not only self-motivated and highly organised but also possesses experience working with disabled children in various settings, including play, educational, or social care, with a specific focus on autism and learning disabilities. Your passion for providing top-quality activity and support services to our children and families is paramount.

Every week during term time, children aged 5-11 attend our 90-minute KEEN London sports and games sessions, where they receive personalised support from our dedicated team of volunteer coaches. Our Brent site is the newest addition to the KEEN London community and you'll play a crucial role in its continual development. We have just completed our two year pilot and are looking for a candidate to build on this foundation.  As the Brent Service Coordinator, you'll be solely responsible for the front line delivery of the Brent service: planning, safety, and creating a fun and inclusive environment for all. This will involve working closely with our athletes and their families, supervising our team of volunteer coaches and engaging with the local community.  Additionally, you'll oversee the organisation and execution of off-site trips and contribute to the organisation of our annual residential trip.

You'll be working closely with our Head of Operations and Fundraising Manager to capture our impact and promote our services effectively.
