Who we are

Hillingdon Women’s Centre (HWC) is a women-only space, designed to offer support and advice to our service users in Hillingdon and the surrounding boroughs aged 18+. We offer our services to all women from diverse backgrounds, who seek support on a range of issues, recovery from domestic abuse being the most commonly reported need. 
 

Our vision is for a world where all women can lead safe, independent, and thriving lives. 

Our mission is to provide a confidential, safe, and welcoming space for all women in Hillingdon and surrounding areas. We are a place where women can access information, tools and holistic support. We are run by women, for women, and will collaborate with other agencies in the community.

Hillingdon Women’s Centre offers a welcoming and supportive space in the local community, that celebrates cultural and social diversity and is equally accessible to all women. We employ policies to make sure that no employee, volunteer, service user, trustee or visitor to the centre experience less favourable treatment on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, marriage, and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity. We are dedicated to providing an inclusive, uplifting climate for women to thrive in. As a women’s centre providing support to vulnerable women, we are a single-sex employer as defined by the Categories of Genuine Occupational Qualifications under the Sex Discrimination Act 1975 and the Equality Act 2010.
