Essential Criteria

• A range of experience working in the statutory or third sector
• A thorough understanding of what makes for good charity governance, including setting up and operating effective processes for managing risk, finance, HR, data and information

• Excellent communication skills, able to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders

As an Employment Coach with our Employcare Project you will be supporting unpaid carers living in Manchester; providing support and coaching in order for them to re-enter paid employment or voluntary roles.  The successful candidates will manage a small caseload of carers and provide them with 1:1 support, helping them overcome barriers to employment and training.  You will be responsible for supporting them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations.

Emmaus Oxford is looking for a Charity retail Deputy Store Manager to join our retail management team running our large charity superstore in Cowley Oxford. CORE PURPOSE:

Under the management of the Director of Client Services to provide specialist, evidence-based trauma therapy to children and young people seeking help from ASSIST throughout Northamptonshire.Therapy will be provided in an age appropriate manner.

ASSIST is a member of the United Kingdom Psychological Trauma Society and the European Society for Traumatic Stress Studies.All ASSIST specialist therapists are expected to work according to evidence based practice models (currently C.B.T. and E.M.D.R.), and in accordance with ethical practice. 

Key Tasks

1.To provide specialist evidence-based trauma therapy in an age appropriate manner, to include play and art therapy to children and young people across Northamptonshire seeking help from ASSIST.

2.To deliver robust assessment and formulation measures, ensuring effective and appropriate interventions are delivered.

3.To deliver client services directly, and to receive appropriate clinical supervision accordingly.

4.To attend multidisciplinary meetings and liaise with various professionals as required for the wellbeing of the clients.

The role of Dose of Nature’s Development Manager is a permanent, high-level role which will continue to evolve as the work of Dose of Nature grows over the coming years. The post involves creating and implementing a fundraising strategy, supporting the Chief Executive with financial planning, and providing clear long-term direction to income generation.

The Development Manager will work directly with the Chief Executive to devise a long-term development strategy, identify and secure funding partners, and produce relevant and compelling funding proposals. Currently the main sources of funding are from trust and foundation grants and local council health care grants. Going forward the Development Manager will grow the funding stream from trusts and foundations and look to solidify the donations from locals. As the charity develops there will also be opportunities of securing funding from the corporate sector, helping to secure Dose of Nature’s future.

The role requires a focused and detail-oriented mindset, entrepreneurial flair, business development experience, excellent written communication and interpersonal skills, good time management and the ability to juggle several complicated tasks at once. It provides a fantastic opportunity for someone with a “can-do” attitude, someone who is passionate about supporting the aims of Dose of Nature and also who wants the freedom to make this role their own.

As with any small charity we hope to find someone who is multi-faceted in terms of their fundraising skill set, and within this, without being a communications specialist, we anticipate that the Development Manager will have experience of charity communications (although this is not the main focus of the role). Ideally the Development Manager will be able to help with creating a communications strategy, support communication tools such as newsletters and social media, and identify any opportunities that may help Dose of Nature grow.

Dose of Nature has an annual turnover of approximately £400,000, of which 75% is currently raised from trust and foundation grants along with donations from individuals. The Development Manager will be responsible for maintaining this income and also securing significant new funding during 2024-25. With a good network of local support, the Development Manager will have the advantage of having a database of supporters to work with and there is the potential to create an individual appeal or giving scheme. Currently the Chief Executive makes all funding applications to trusts and foundations and these relationships will be passed on to the Development Manager who will be expected to nurture these and secure grants from new sources.

Job Description: As the CEO of our LGBTQ+ youth charity, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to the organisation. Your primary focus will be on expanding and growing the charity, amplifying our impact, and
ensuring the sustainability of our programs. You will work closely with the Board of Directors to develop and implement long-term strategies, while also overseeing day-to-day operations.

Person Specification:

We're looking for a kind, compassionate and resilient Children's Support Worker to join our Homelessness service in Tower Hamlets.

To offer practical and emotional support to children and young people aged 0-16 years, who are living with the effects of Domestic Abuse and Violence, and overcoming the traumatic impact on their lives. The support is offered during their time in the refuge, through the transition from refuge to their new home and ongoing support in the community. Support is also offered to children who live in the wider community who access the service independently. To liaise and work together with all other agencies involved with the families, in order to meet their ongoing needs appropriately and effectively. The post is restricted to females only due to the nature of the role. The occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (Part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

What you'll do:

* To ensure that the needs of children and young people in the refuge are assessed as part of admission and the duration of their stay
* To plan and implement a programme of therapeutic and recreational activities for children and young people living both at the refuge and in the community, as well as play-work and activity trips * To provide individual, age appropriate key working sessions for children of all ages. With a focus on safeguarding, including risk and safety planning, emotional & physical health & wellbeing, education and social & family networks
* To encourage and support mothers to build loving and consistent relationships with their children * To work in partnership with all agencies in relation to safeguarding children following both local and national approaches around Early Help Assessments, CIN, TAF and Child Protection Protocols
* To act as the Lead Practitioner in early help assessments and using early help principles to develop support plans for sub-threshold families, ensuring effective multi-agency involvement.
* To write and contribute to the completion of Reports for Courts and Children's Social Care Conferences and meetings regarding the families, when required.
